About the Artist
As you run screaming down the back alleys you can hear the slow methodical steps of a psychopath, there's nowhere to hide. He always finds you. Squeezing yourself behind a dumpster in defeat you hear the footsteps getting closer and closer...his shadow casts a dark gloom over your face and mind...your end has come and The Psycho is back.
A forefather of horror style lyrics and violent imagery, Ganxsta NIP is back to take Horrorcore and Rap by force.
NIP's first release, "The South Park Psycho" album was an instant classic with rap fans worldwide, not quite gangster rap, not quite horrorcore...a sick and bloody middle ground that brought NIP's name to the forefront during the trial of an African American youth who shot and killed a Texas police officer. The music inside the youth's tape deck? Ganxsta NIP's sophomore release on Rap-A-Lot Records entitled, "Psychic Thoughts". NIP was now being hailed by the media as the cause.
In 1994, with controversy, nationwide coverage boosting his sales, and a Gold Record for scribing Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys smash hit, "Chucky", Ganxsta NIP went on to release a second album under the Rap-A-Lot Records label entitled "Psychotic Genius.". Many hardcore gangster/horrorcore fans worldwide hail this release as one of this best. It's out sold both of his previous releases. A true classic in verbal homicide.
In 1996, Ganxsta NIP's fourth album and final release under the Rap-A-Lot Records label was entitled, "Interview With a Killa,". As silently as his release faded in...he quickly retreated into the darkness to wait for the right time to return to the land of the living and reveal the new Psycho style so many have longed for. Teaming up with Mars of Rest In Peace Records, NIP has formed an unholy alliance once again will bring horrific gangster flows back to the streets and nationwide for the release of his newest anthem of terror, "The Return Of The Psychopath"...time to stop running, the end is already upon you.

the return. .......2007-06-23
If your reading this you must be familiar with nip's music which is quite selective. I thought interview with a killa was as good as nip's first which is some achievment considering wut happened to nas! While maybe not as consistent as either of those two this still offers up some memorable tracks, noteably Born genius, originator, purchase a ticket, insect warground...do you want some more homie.
no fallin off here.......2006-04-18
Ive always been a huge NIP fan and have all his other cd's. but it took me awhile to buy this one because of some bad reviews and after buying it. i dont understand the bad reviews. No fallin off here. pyscho nip is back even though he never left
NIP's comin back in the new millenium.......2004-02-23
Ganxsta NIP is back with "The Return of The Psychopath" his first release since 1998. There is something for all NIP fans on this new offering as NIP blends his Psycho Thug style with the Psychopath of old...There are a few songs from his earlier work "Psycho Thug" included and the rest are all new NIP for the new millenium. If your a Ganxsta NIP fan this is a must have. Although I prefer his forst 2 cd's to any other, this is another solid effort by the King of Horrorcore rap!
Waste of money and time (HALF STAR).......2004-02-15
I rarely take the time to review any multi-media, but I had to speak out on this one. When I saw there was a new Nip album out I was hyped for a minute. I was involved with Nip and many other locals in the late 80's/early 90's (rip WD). This rapper was a pioneer in his time, 1992 - "South Park Psycho" and 1993 - "Psychic Thoughts" are masterpieces. I took a chance and shelled out the high price for "Return Of The Psychopath", LOW AND BEHOLD this cd is poor quality all around (come on it's 2004!)....it sounds like it is just a compilation of unreleased boring filler tracks (maybe because it is) from Nip's post 1996 "Psychotic Genius" album. As much as it hurts every Nip fan to acknowledge and accept that he fell off big time and shouldn't be in the game at all. This type of album is not only embarassing, it's losing him (and or his label) money for unmoved units of a product that is sub-par to most regional cookie cutter rappers. Not one song stands out, beats are plain and boring, lyrics are so cliched and played out (I swear I should have known this when I saw the album cover). The cd has Black Market Records listed as Nip's label...which makes sense and goes hand in hand with this soon to be $1.98 throw-away discount rack cd (Black Market went bankrupt and is now a ghost label, and the Singletons are good at throwing around small ammounts of money to buy (or steal as they did to Lynch) artist's b-side tracks and compile them into poorly mastered "new albums". What really got me angry the most was the price of this cd, it should be sold for a quarter of the list price....as a matter of fact mine is going up for sale NOW for $1.98! Stick with Nip's "South Park Psycho" and "Psychic Thoughts", they are overpriced as well (due to being long out of print), but worth every cent. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE AT ALL COSTS! RTS Nip...see you soon
