A Fine Malt Album To Drink On!! (Rating: 7 out of 10- -3.5 stars).......2007-01-18
Some people my call these Irish White Guys a one hit wonders, because of the song "Jump Around". Believe it or not, that was the very first rap song I heard (maybe it was LL's "Momma Said Knock You Out", anyway...), and I remember my mom constantly telling me to stop jumping on my bed, when ever that song was playing. For some reason I think that song came out a while before this album came out, I'm not exactly sure.
House Of Pain consists of Everlast (you might know him as "Whitey Ford"), Danny Boy O'Connor, and DJ Leathal, and they took this music real serious back in 1992. The album was produced by DJ Muggs (of Cypress Hill) and DJ Leathal. They had many good songs here to prove that their lead single was not the only good song on here. "Top Of The Morning To Ya" would be one of the standouts here on this album. "House And The Rising Son" is another good song that has a nice beat and featured Son Doobiest. A good favorite of mine would be "Shamrocks And Shenanigans (Boom Sha Lock Lock Boom)", becasue it has a catchy hook. I think that was their second single. If it wasn't, it should have been.
There are some wack moments on here though. First, thier rhymes are not on point most of the time. A lot of songs on here, Everlast makes refrences to puffing blunts. Also there a few bad songs on here towards the end, like "Put On Your Sh** Kickers", and "Feel It" is another forgettable one.
There are two remixes on here. "Jump Around" would be remixed by Pete Rock, but I like the origonal better if you ask me. "Shamrocks And Shenanigans" would be remixed by Butch Vig, and have a rock sound that I really wasn't feeling at all.
Overall, this is a dope CD. This group would make two more albums, "Same As It Ever Was" (1994) and "Truth Crushed To Earth Shall Rise Again" (1996), then split up. DJ Leathal would join the group Limp Bizkit. Everlast (who I just found out he had an album back in 1990) would do some experimental contry/rap music and make a few albums, and be dissed by Eminem later on. I really haven't heard much from Danny Boy. But this is the album that put these Irish guys on the map, and accepted by rap and hip hop listeners. I still drive around bumping "Jump Around" like it was the newest song that just came out. This proves that there were some white rappers who had respect for the craft for hip hop and rap music (unlike some of the ones floating around today), and I recommend that you give this a listen. This trio had fine malt lyrics on this CD, but there are some on this CD that might leave your mouth dry.

first everlast.......2006-11-02
Although this is not the first work by "Whitey Ford", it is the first mainstream public exposure to his style in "Jump". If you listen to the album with an open mind, you will find it to be a fair example of somewhat jazz fueled beatnik music...mixed with hip hop krunky chunky beats and grooves. I would have given this cd more than 3 stars, but the under-production hinders it somewhat...lending a raw quality that I would trade for better sound...plus "EVERLASTS'" cds get better with each attempt. Check out "Whitey Ford Plays The Blues.
NOTE: I don't know why my screen name is "The Bookie"...what the hey!!
good vintage tunes.......2006-02-25
some of the tracks on this album are iffy, but some are good if you wanna have a few brews and enjoy some rap with your irish heritage in mind. it also puts you in a mindset back in the day to the early 90's, which if you remember was a very fresh time to be chillin.
JJJJJJJJJJump Around!!!!!.......2006-01-21
The trio, Everlast, Danny Boy and DJ Leathal, steered away from the norm to give us a damn near classic. Before Eminmem came out white boys were not regarded as serious, besides this group of Irish fellas. Catchy hooks, phrases and simple rhymes did it for the frontman and emcee Everlast. There is a lot of drinking, partying and good lyrics without the shoot 'em up, bang, bang. What kept this from being a classic is some of the samples and solid production to back the fine malt lyrics. Considering this is a 1992 release, it doesn't collect dust in my collection. We all know that the song Jump Around is a C-L-A-S-S-I-C!, Put Your Head Out featuring B-Real is a tight Irish Bangin' classic featuring mi homie B-Real, Shamrocks & Shenangans is a tight Boom Shalock Lock Boom joint, Jump Around (Pete Rock Remix) is a decent remix with a east coast feelin', now Everlast sure has changed from an Irish rapper to an um? white trash bum star? The only good solo by Everlast was "What Its Like", also unlike Eminem, Paul Wall, Bubbah Sparx & the Beastie Boys, House Of Pain are not like those other white rappers that are whack!
House Of Pain go Shamrocks & Shenangans on joints 1, *2, *3(featuring B-Real), 4, 6, *7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, *18 & 19.

To hell with Rhino.......2005-08-11
It was said by Everlast himself(on his Island Record message board) about a month before this CD came out, that he was not asked permission to make the CD, and nobody from House of Pain is making money off of it. Rhino only got Tommy Boy's permission, and made the CD. This means that Everlast, Lethal and Danny Boy all got jerked by Rhino. Screw Rhino. This CD is a joke, and the ones who decided which tracks go on this CD need to die. This CD was NOT remastered, and this CD does NOT express House of Pain/Everlast's greatest songs. DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM. But if you do so choose to, please, by a used copy. Everlast isn't making money off of this, Lethal aint seeing a dime, and Danny Boy is getting jerked, too. Don't by this album. It's not a real Best Of album, and nothing on here is remastered.
Everlast/HOP fan from PA.......2004-02-25
I am a big Everlast & House Of Pain Fan. I think this CD is great and I think it's great they finally have a greatest hits. Though, the album is missing songs such as "Top o the morning to ya","The Have nots", "Fed Up","Today (watch me shine)","I Can't Move" and "Deadly assassins". But still, the album is great. And it's a must for any Everlast/HOP fans or hip hop fans.

Hey moron, "Word Is Bond" IS on that CD....you might consider actually listening to the CD before reviewing it. What an idiot.
House Of Everlast........2004-02-16
I've wondered for years why "House Of Pain" had no collections out, and even though this could be better, it's still "On Point". I do wish this included "Top O' The Morning To Ya", "House Of Pain Anthem", "Back From The Dead", and "Beef Jerky", from the "Jerky Boys" soundtrack. But, it does have the classic "Jump Around", "Same As It Ever Was", "Pass The Jinn", and "Just Another Victim", from the "Judgment Night" soundtrack. There's even a couple of 1990 pre-HOP tracks on here from "Everlast". Although I do like his solo stuff, and hope he keeps recording, I think this could have been an all "House Of Pain" collection. Also, chronological order would have been nice to seperate the two eras. Still though, this is 17 tracks of dope beats, and "Fine Malt Lyrics".
Legends..........2004-02-14
Many of the kids that listen to hip hop today, might not even know who House of Pain (HOP) was. Unfortunately, this effort will not motivate them to know what a revolutionary hip hop band they were. The content is fine and it's great to hear these jams resurface. But what about jams like "Legends", "Fed Up", "The Have Nots", "X-Files", "Back from the Dead", and "Runnin' up on Ya". Because all of these songs and many others are not on this album, the title is definitely not fitting. The same goes for Everlast. From the album cover to the choice of songs, this album falls short of representing what HOP and Everlast have given to the hip hop game. Sadly, someone approved to make this item public before putting together a worthy compilation.

"It aint a crime" to have these beats+rhymes!!.......2005-03-31
Even now over 10years on, people are still talking about+listening to this classic hiphop album from one of the truely great hiphop acts in the last 15years. With MUGGS+LETHAL laying down some of the darkest+funkiest basslines you're likely to ever hear with break neck beats, screeching horns and haunting samples added to EVERLAST's gruff+DANNY BOY's high pitched rhyme deliveries, you're in for an amazing album. From possible the best opening track off ANY album "back from the dead" to the lead single "on point" to the ground shaking sounds of "over there sh**" to the story telling of "it aint a crime" to my personal favourite "who's the man?" we're treated to an array of tracks with a wide scope of topics. From beginning to end it's a typical H.O.P. album in the sense that there isnt a single track that you would skip past. If you dont have it+call yourself a hiphop fan you should be ashamed of yourself. The true meaning of a CLASSIC ALBUM!!!!
Classic.......2005-03-15
This is House Of Pain's best album.
You can't skip one track, they're all great right from the opening.
Back from the Dead has a phat beat, and Everlast flows.
Once Again Muggs and Lethal lay down the dope beats.
Keep it comin is one of my favorite songs as well as where I'm from. " How do you know where you're going if you don't look back, what's the use of having endz if you lose all your friends"
Their best album by far / On Point.......2004-06-14
I remeber picking up this album in 1994 playing it through not skipping any track. This is their best album by far in my opinion. The production is top notch by Vig & the beats are laid down superbly by Muggs & Lethal. Everlast flows infinitely smooth on this album. " On Point is the single & incredibly catchy tune but " I'm A Swing it & "Where I'm From" are my two favorites on cd. Every song rocks with track "Over their Sh*t" has samplings from Milk D's hip hop classic "I Don't Care" with House Of Pain's unique style & twist to it. "Same as it ever was" a rock tune with an incredibly catchy hook to it. This cd is in my top ten list for hip hop albums. Essential to collection for anyone who likes real hip hop.
MASTERPIECE.......2004-06-10
House of Pain (Same as it ever was) is a great album. The remix to word is bond produced by my man Diamond D is mad phat phat phat word.
House of Pain in full effect once again!!!.......2003-12-01
I'm not a huge fan of rap/hip-hop in general, but House of Pain KICKS ...!! Anyone who is sick of hearin about how much money and ho's guys have need to listen to the great rhymes and beats Everlast, Danny Boy, and DJ Lethal have to offer. Songs about hangin out, downin a few brews and kickin it with your boys. And they're actual "songs", with much higher real musical quality than most rap. You can really hear Ev's storytelling style develop on songs like It Aint A Crime. This album is great and very respectable because it goes away from the poppy gimmicky style that made their first album popular, goin the underground route and turnin it out. Just so you know, there ARE NO JUMP AROUND PART 2s HERE!! And that's just fine, cause this album (like all HOP's work) rules top to bottom.

Grossly Underrated .......2006-11-29
House of Pain never really received respect within the hip-hop community, and rightfully so. When you think of House of Pain, most rap fans would tell you they're a joke. A 1-hit-wonder if you will. True, maybe. Then again, their release Truth Crushed To Earth Shall Rise Again brought me to a very enigmatic conclusion of their existence in the rap game.
When I first bought this album (after listening to the Fed Up Remix), I immediately labeled this album garbage minus a few tracks. After a few years, and a few dozen listens through-and-through, I realized the lost treasure this work of art came to be. After scratching the surface, you really begin to uncover a diamond in the rough.
House of Pain's debut self-titled album was just plain weak. Be honest, it was despite multi-platinum success. Their sophomore release Same As It Ever Was improved their street credibility with harder production and more hip-hop oriented bangers (like Word Is Bond for example). After one highly overrated album (debut release) and a lukewarm follow-up (Same As It Ever Was), I wasn't expecting a sure-shot winner in Truth Crushed, and as explained after my initial listen, I was under the impression House of Pain was finished.
In the end, House of Pain's last and final album Truth Crushed is their highlight of work, no question about it. Everlast is at his pinnacle. Every track found on this album, Everlast is in a world of his own, with a rough flow and flawless delivery. Listening to Ear Drums Pop a few years afterwards brought back the wonderful memories of just how great the man sounded on this album. Danny Boy is only found on spots few and far between, which is for the best. Divine Styler was a solid addition to this album, and the production from Lethal is light years ahead of anything he's ever touched past, present, or future.
Heart Full of Sorrow, Killa Rhyme Kilk, Fed Up, Fed Up Remix, The Have Nots and Earthquake are the album's highlights. A few mediocre tracks hold me back from giving this album the 5 Star classic rating I wish I could award. When you think of other great hip-hop releases around this era, you can't help but wonder how this lost treasure was so easily overlooked.
House Of Pain, a great musical history.......2006-03-05
Last album of House of Pain.
Not as good as the two first ones, but it's history, so you gotta buy it !
It's very unfortunate how House of Pain was one of the fathers of today's crap hip hop........2005-08-11
This album is the truest House of Pain album out there. Mainly because Lethal is producing every bit of it. Before this album dropped, crazy ol' Muggs starting whining that House of Pain didn't credit the dude enough. The mofo made Jump Around, he was individually mentioned in the thank-you songs from FML and SAIEW, and he thinks he could get more credit. He was basically the fourth member of House of Pain. The dude is crazy, and he left the scene, giving Lethal his fair cut of work. This is good, because it gives more area for Everlast to cover. Fortunately, he's not alone to accomplish this feat, he brings in the Original Scheme Team (Cockni O Dire and Divine Styler), giving is a good mix or gruff mentally depressing sounds of Everlast, the intelligent rhymes of Divine, and the almost untranslatable rambles of Cockni. Danny only rips it twice, but every second of it is something to embrace. With the newly assembled House of Pain, Lethal is all over the beats, which come with dark, dementing hooks and drops that leave you astonished. Everlast's rapping can't possibly get any more rough and raw than it is here, and his style is even more demented than Lethal's producing. When you listen to this album, you will hear what sounds like today's popular hip hop, except it's actually GOOD. There's no such thing as "the worst House of Pain album ever", in my opinion. While not the best, it certainly was a tough choice for me to officially decide for myself how good this is compared to the earlier albums. But you simply can't compare them. This is a completely different album, and there is almost no bridge between this album and SAIEW. The day this album dropped, Everlast quit House of Pain, and went on to the folksy rap-rock style of music, making his own enjoyable genre. If you want to hear Jump Around, the partying, happy days kinda style, once again, try checking out Fine Malt Lyrics. Choose this album on a rainy day.
Underrated Malt Lyrics.......2005-04-15
HOP was the ISH back when i was growing up WHAT and nobody could tell me nadaa bout them. Of course, after the success of their 92 self titled debut, they dropped in popularity and by their third and final LP were virtually ignored. "Truth" is defintely an underrated HIP HOP album and an underrated House album. Muggs vacated the production seat and the SKEME team(Divine Styelr in the house ya'll ) and Everlast create some truly dark, eerie and str8 hardcore tracks. Nothing on this album is billboard material, and that is exactly why it went nowhere with HOP fans. Their loss, cuz it is a banger and I didn't even give it a real listen till Summer 2000. Everlast's gruff vocals are ruffer and rawer than ever, and I remember someone saying he sounded exactly like the rapper NINE, anyone remember him?? Well, the resemblance is close but no cigar, Everlast always had that gruff style... here it is just angrier and more in ya face. As for NINE yeah he kinda became known for his gargling broken glass n gasoline style. Listening to cuts like "Whats that Smell" and "Fed Up" are like listening to an entirely different group. It's evident in the music and lyrics that HOP, specifically Everlast, were FED UP and perhaps pissed that everyone expected them to put out "Jump Around" forever. I think this is the album to listen to if you want to appreciate HOP as a hip hop unit. Sure, their first two joints were hot but this is like the anti-thesis to everything they had previously done. Just that line in "Whats that Smell" speaks volumes...Hey yo what's that smell someone laced DUST all up in ma L!" So Everlast was meditating on the sad state of things in a dusted out PCP haze...classic! One thing that truly is missing is on here is DANNYBOY! The kid got skills straight up, and he never got to shine like Everlast, but I think he has maybe ONE Full 16 on this album, damn he also has to be one of the most underrated cats...never was he a hype man like Flavor Flav( although Foofie Foofie got skills don't sleep ) but it is apparent on this album that House were on the outs, in fact, they disbanded the DAY this dropped in 1996, which makes me think of that line from Eminem's "Girls" dissing Everlast...In 94 Limp opened a show for you, stole the whole show from you, turned around and stole your Fu**ing DJ too! Ahhh so sad, this was made in the after effect of their Limp tour where Lethal was picked up by that red hat wearing guy and friends. Sad Sad indeed. "Truth" is one of the most underrated hip hop albums of the last 10 years, House at their most virulent and stressed out, good to see OTHER production besides MUGGS, who I think is a genuis yeah, but damn he did BOTH their first 2 albums, time to move on baby. In short fans of the ol HOP should own this but if not check it out it's worth a listen, and those who wanna hear Everlast when he was still GOOD should go str8 to this, cuz come 1998 he was riding that country/blues/hip hop/I'm a fat lonely guy wave...NOT good, and not cuz Eminem said so but just NOT GOOD! It'd be nice to see TRUTH RISE AGAIN...if it doesn't we can always go drown our sorrows in a pint of MICKEYS! Oh Danny Boy the pipes the pipes are calling, come on everybody sing with me!
4+HALF STAR MASTERPIECE.......2005-04-01
With MUGGS gone from the production side of things many thought that this would be a huge dissapointment,.....THEY would have been very very wrong!!! Everlast and Lethal themselves took over full control of that+layed down some phat beats for them to rhyme on. The only downer is Danny boy doesnt appear on any more than 2 joints but when he does he lays down some excellent flows. EVERLAST is at his pinnacle here, delivering some of his best work with the confidence of a true mc. His gruff style was perfectly suited to the bone crunching beats on display here. Along for the ride is COKNI O'DIRE+DIVINE STYLER (Skeme team) who were down with Everlast back in the day. Standouts are the magnificent "fed up", "heart of sorrow", "pass the jinn", "no doubt" and "fed up(remix)" featuring GURU. Another classic in the H.O.P trilogy!!!

If you are or were in my case, a serious house music aficionado, this CD is a must! If you were just a casual listener then don't buy, pick up a Donna Summer album or something to that effect. If you can identify with Womack & Womack, Weather Girls, Brothers Johnson, Roy Ayers, Sylvester, Jocelyn Brown etc. you got the right CD!!!
This is not for "percolators", Old School Rockers only!
Jersey is in the House.......2003-05-24

Save your money.......2003-02-24
Touch and Go and Love is The Message was the only reason to give the cd 2 stars, it is really not worth buying maybe you can find other cd's w/ above listed songs w/ better choices.

stood the test of time...........2002-05-06
First, get all 3 volumes, put 'em on your multi-disc cd player, then let these dancefloor gems do their thaaang... Can be played at a bbq on Memorial Day, July 4, Labour Day, etc... or while you're playing Twister (tangled up in a pretzel position while trying to grab that Bacardi & Coke that's waaaay on the other side of the mat ;) whatever... you get the idea. Your cooler friends will scream and shout when their favorite joints get those memories flooding back.
A Thoughtful Series.......2001-09-08
Give Your Body Up is an interesting collection of discs. It achieves its aim of preserving foundational songs essential to the progression of modern dance club music. The discs contain rareties that are difficult to find elsewhere. Each disc in the series, this one in particular, may cover too much ground and have too much variety. There was a good bit of difference stylistically between the Philly Sound and string/horn drenched dance music of the 70's on the one hand and the synth-based, drum machine sound of the early and mid 80's on the other. Both decades are intermixed, not in chronological order. So we find the organic, gospel-inflected "Over and Over" next to the electronic "BRA," the orchestral "Love Is The Message" alongside the reggae-laced "Now That We've Found Love." As a source for songs, however, this series is definitely different from those "Disco" sets that focus on radio hits.

Album Description
Leo Smit has an impressive pedigree as an American composer and musician. A virtuoso pianist, he has worked closely with such legends as Stravinsky, Balanchine, Copland and Stokowski. He has set more that 75 of Emily Dickinson's poems to music, grouping the works into cycles about related subject matter. The disc contains the world premiere recordings of three of those cycles- Childe Emilie- Memories and Fantasies of Childhood, The Celestrial Thrush- Songs of Music and Bird, and The White Diadem- Songs About Poets and Poetry. Smit's songs display great sensitivity to Dickinson's very personal world, and reflect the poet's emotional range by adopting an extremely colorful palette. The songs frequently veer from the simple and tonal to more rhythmically complex and chromatic settings, always alert to word and mood.

The composers Antonín Dvorák, Leos Janácek, and Bohuslav Martinu might not be the names that first spring to mind when love songs are mentioned, yet this fascinating collection gives us a taste of what delights we have been missing. They range from seven Moravian folk songs, collected by Janácek at the turn of the century, to songs written by Martinu in the U.S. in 1942. There's also early Martinu--including songs he collected in Slovakia in 1920--plus the world-premiere recording of Songs for a Friend of My Country, a cycle he wrote in France in 1940 on his way to America. All of these songs are of interest in giving us another aspect of each composer's work; most have much more to offer. Many are achingly lovely, especially those by Dvorák--including his Op. 2, a reworking of four songs from a cycle he had written almost 20 years earlier, and Love Songs, a revision of eight songs from the same cycle. "Good night, my darling," from his 1886 cycle In Folk Tone, is worth the price of this CD alone. Czech mezzo Magdalena Kozená, who put together the program, sings with pure, attractive tone. Graham Johnson is her excellent accompanist. --Richard Fawkes

On the Subject of Intelligent and Sensitive Recitals.......2005-05-19
Combing the recorded literature to find CDs that showcase singers who not only own brilliant vocal gifts but who also possess the intelligence to program recordings of lesser known works in a sequence that makes for intelligent recitals, it is becoming more obvious that there are many singers who opt for purity of purpose rather than 'salesmanship' of careers in the PR arena. Magdalena Kozená is one of these gifted singers whose intelligence and sensitivity match her physical and vocal beauty.
LOVE SONGS is a tastefully selected panorama of lesser-known songs by Kozená's fellow countrymen (Czech) Antonín Dvorák, Leos Janácek, and Bohuslav Martinu. And while many of the Dvorák and Janácek songs have been occasionally heard in recitals, the Martinu "Songs for a Friend of My Country", an exquisitely beautiful work written in 1940, here receives its World Premiere recording. Kozená's voice is in prime condition for these songs and she is ably accompanied by pianist Graham Johnson. The special flavor of these Slavic emotions and songs has rarely been so well captured.
But over and above the beauty of Kozená's performance of these neglected masterpieces shines the glow of her sensitive programming. Recordings such as these are rare and should be included in the libraries of those who appreciate the lieder genre. Highly recommended. Grady Harp, May 05
Lovely.......2004-03-25
This is a beautifully performed selection of Czech lieder. Kozena has a lovely voice and sings with precision and nicely modulated emotion. The accompanying pianist, Graham Johnston, is excellent. Despite the title, not all these songs are love or romantic songs but all are well worth hearing. The selection of songs is excellent. Different listeners will prefer different songs. For me, the highlight of this recording are the rarely heard Martinu songs, many of which exhibit the lyrical aspect of his compositional style. Recommended strongly.
A Beautiful Disc.......2002-01-06
This is simply a magnificent recording. I like it better every time I put it on. The voice is fresh, supple, and expressive. I even find myself trying to learn some of the Czech words (from the translation in the booklet) they sound so nice. Both Kozena and the brilliant piano contributions by Graham Johnson are faithfully caught on the recording. There is enough variety and contrast that one doesn't tire in the least (over the generous 67 minutes of playing time) of hearing these playful, sometimes poignant, songs. One of the best discs, in terms of programming, performance, and sound quality, of the past couple of years.
A stunning burst onto the world stage.......2001-12-17
Magdalena Kozena is suddenly known around the world, thanks to this stunning disc of 42 lieder from her Czech homeland. Most of the songs are short - some come in under a minute, the longest 3-4 minutes. Each is a little gem and many have never been recorded before.
Kozena's voice is sheer delight. She does have resonances in her voice which are reminiscent of her compatriot, Lucia Popp, but is certainly a mezzo - although she has chosen her repertoire well so we hear no strain at the top. Her low resonances are delightful and consistent with her head voice. To compare Kozena's voice to that of the late diva (Popp), it is more pure, more consistent in tone from top to bottom, and doesn't have so much of the `squeezey' quality which Popp used to great effect in evincing the passion of her characters. Kozena can empty her voice of vibrato or let it out rich and full, and uses all her vocal resources to great effect in contrasting the individual songs. She has astoundingly mature lieder-singer's technique for such a young singer.
This recording rightly won a Gramophone award this year. Kozena deserves all the accolades she receives for this - doubtless all listeners will develop their own favourites from these delightful miniatures.
Wonderful songs, and a singer with great potential.......2000-10-08
What a wonderful, carefully thought out CD! Kozena obviously revels in these rarely performed songs by Dvorak, Martinu, and Janacek, and Johnson accompanies with his usual ease and sensitivity. What a pity the piano is balanced distantly -- we hear little of Johnson's variety of touch and dynamics. As for Kozena, she is obviously an intelligent musician with a voice of great potential. It is qutie beautiful as it is, yet the colour is still rather pale. Yes, there is something of the late Lucia Popp's timbre, yet it has little of Popp's depth and range of colour. BBC Legends released a CD of Popp a year ago which includes three Dvorak songs also sung by Kozena. The differences are quite marked -- while Kozena's timbre and interpretation suggests a dreamy yet earnest youth, Popp brings out an autumnal glow and a sharp pain that pierces at least this listener's heart. Kozena has started a wonderful career. Only time will tell how her voice will develop. I do hope it goes in the direction of Popp's unique lyric timbre. No one could ever equal Popp (perhaps it's obvious by now that Popp is my favorite singer of all time), but perhaps Kozena will become something of Popp's heir, while still being her own person. I hope so. But her musicality is not in question. Let's keep our ears open!
