World Party [Explicit Lyrics]
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.co.uk Review
Atlanta's Goodie M.O.B. seemingly take inspiration from Southern brethren the Hot Boys on the maniacally paced World Party. Where the M.O.B. were once meditative with a country, collard-greens appeal, they've up-jumped the boogie with some tempestuous drum programming and feel-good club verses. The shift may not sit well with some; compared with their peers and label mates Outkast, the Goodie M.O.B.'s new album is a lurching shift from their previous works. Still, if the M.O.B. get crunked-out Hotlanta style, they do it with aplomb, bombing the bass on wild tracks like "Get Rich to This," "I.C.U.," and the TLC vs. M.O.B. battle "What It Ain't." The worst thing about the CD is the hokey "world culture" caricatures of its artwork--luckily, such insipidness is absent from the album's soundscape. --Oliver Wang

Just in time for sultry weather festivities, the trusty world music compilation label Putumayo has put together yet another dynamite party album. From the opening 1-2-3/1-2 clavé of Raúl' Paz' "Mua Mua Mua", which is soon overwhelmed by electronica only to re-emerge at will, the beats are as relentless as they are caressing. The set covers a lot of ground geographically, as Puerto Rican salsa, Mexican and Colombia cumbia and Cuban rumba have long since become international preoccupations, performed by local practitioners in every corner of the globe. Africando, with its blend of West African salseros and New York-based Latin all-stars, and Riccardo Lemvo's suave rumba Congolaise via LA, have repatriated rhythms that came from Africa in the first place. Belgium is an unlikely pit-stop, but Gabriël Rios' Santeria-infused "Bones Bugalu" has plenty of authenticity plus panache to spare. The grooves just keep coming, so put on those dancing shoes, snag an ice-cold forty-ouncer of malt liquor from the corner bodega and swing the night away! Part of the proceeds from this album will be donated to United For Colombia, in support of their efforts to help children who have been injured by landmines. --Christina Roden
Album Description
¡Baila!.is a global Latin party featuring salsa, cumbia, and meringue mixed with contemporary dance beats and rhythms. The party starts in the streets of Havana before hitting the road. Raul Paz kicks it off with "Mua Mua Mua," seamlessly blending the deep grooves of his native Cuba with the contemporary stylings he's picked up since relocating to France. Back in Cuba NG La Banda offer "La Cachimba" their mission statement announcing the virtues of a new musical style that's sure to make you dance. Next the party travels to Colombia, where the collective known as La-33 is revitalizing salsa by reconnecting it to the genre's golden era of the 1960s and 70s. Not to be outdone, however, New York delivers a rhythm-driven one-two punch with The Spanish Harlem Orchestra and Yerba Buena contributing the best of the old school and the new. On the West Coast, Argentinean ex-pats Los Pinguos and Congo native Ricardo Lemvo integrate various Latin elements that keep the party people on their feet.
The next stop on the party express is Belgium, where Gabriel Rios landed after leaving his native Puerto. Experimenting with a variety of influences while maintaining his deep Latin roots has made this unique musician an unlikely pop star in his adopted home. Next we travel to Stockholm, Sweden, where the high-powered ensemble Calle Real is bringing a thaw to their native city. The Africando All Stars and Brooklyn Funk Essentials round out this collection, proving once and for all that the party is right here.
A portion of Putumayo's proceeds from the sale of this CD will be donated to United for Colombia in support of their efforts to help children who are victims of landmines in Colombia.

Perfect from start to finish!.......2007-05-31
An absolutely irresistable collection of dance salsa! The first two cuts are absolutely spectacular. Everything else is nearly as strong. There is not a throw-away on this CD. I took a Cuban Salsa dance lesson recently, and the instructor played "Mua Mua Mua" 3 or 4 times every lesson for 7 lessons, and the class never tired of it, we just loved the song more each time! The entire CD stands up well to repeated listening. It has a nice variety, with a couple tracks having a reggaeton sound, and a couple cumbias, while sticking closer to true cuban salsa rather that the Americanized club sound. Mostly though the sound is pure and true Salsa. If that is what you are looking for, this is a must have disc!
Love Putumayo music.......2007-01-05
This is one of my favorite Putumayo cds, although I love them all. It is fun, energetic and makes my 19 month old son show us his moves! A must for music lovers.
New Style Salsa and Latin Flavors.......2006-08-28
Putumayo always puts out a quality product, and this disc is no exception. The collection of salsa and latin rhythyms is a collection spanning several countries, but all of the tracks are lively upbeat and fun. several of the tracks include electronic elements, such as electric drumbeats and samples. This allows the listeners to see what is being done with a now classic genre to revitalize it. this new generation of Salseros breathes new life into a now-classic music style.
I would recomend this for any casual listener interested in hearing some modern style salsa music. fun to dance to and upbeat and cheery.
TRULY A SENSATIONAL PIECE!.......2006-05-24
This music makes you want to get up and dance! The first few tracks are the best, but the whole CD is very good. I could not stop listening to son fro by africando and many more. Hide this CD because once you pop it in, your friends will never want to give it back to you. After owning gypsy caravan, afro-latino, afro latin party, salsa around the world, cuba and many more i have come to say that this is one of the best putumayo we have seen up to date. Also check out putumayo colombia-It is sure to get you dancing like you have never danced before!

Slavic Soul Party bills itself as the "No. 1 brass band for Balkan-soul-gypsy-funk." While the competition may be a bit thin in this niche genre, there is no argument about the validity of the tag. The band, made up of members of varying backgrounds from the U.S. and Japan, introduces the brash-but-intricate horn lines of the Balkans and adds some New Orleans grit and groove to the stew. On the Brooklyn-based group's third album, one can't help but marvel at the ensemble playing of knotty horn lines on tunes by leader Matt Moran (the percolating "Ruchenista!" stands out) or Slavic traditionals like the sadly romantic "Djelem Djelem," which features guest vocalist Eva Salina Primack. Those ready to party need look no further than the uproarious "Vrainje" or the title track. No matter which direction the nine-piece band goes, it easily takes the listener along for the ride. --Tad Hendrickson

This CD ROCKS........2007-07-26
I never tire of it. Sure it's different, but that's one of the main reasons it's so great. Like most gypsy music, it's dark but peppy, sometimes frantic even. Mad fun. Highly recommended.
Fun Music.......2007-07-07
When I first heard about this on NPR, I immediately got a big grin. This is a fun, funky collection of tunes. I'm also a big fan of The Art of Noise, so take that into account. This isn't full of sound effects, just cool tunes with a fun beat.

The Caribbean is home to a string of tourism-friendly island nations and some of the world's most amazing music. Along with lush vegetation, sugar-sand beaches, and spicy food, each island is defined by its local sound, which remains fairly consistent whether the lyrics deal with partying, courtship, or social protest. This set is devoted to dance-oriented Haitian compas, Jamaican reggae, zouk from the French Antilles, and Trinidadian calypso's faster and more rhythmically intense descendant, soca (from SOul-CAlypso). The Martinican star Kali's "L'Histoire de Zouk" tells the tale via snippets from the past, while his neighbor Eric Virgal's hit, "Pa Fe Mwen La Pen," is a gooey romantic ballad. Krosfyah ups the ante with "Pump Me Up," a sassy carnival anthem that provides an enjoyable contrast to the low-down, earthy swing of Bunny Wailer's "Roots, Rock Reggae," and the bawdy double-entendres of Coalishun's "Ice Cream." --Christina Roden

Pah-tee Time, Mon!.......2005-08-24
This is my new favorite disc to put on to wake up, to clean the house, or just to feel good! Hear those island breezes, feel the sun on your face and pah-tee down, mon!
Great cd for summer!.......2005-08-21
I really enjoyed this cd. It had a variety of songs. And it seemed to make the summer heat more bearable. It lightened the mood and just has great sound.
???????.......2003-11-24
This was my moms cd when she went to the bahams, but it's probably very popular at the bahamas. My mom does'nt listen to it alot and I don't either. So,I guess it is ok,but if you hate this kind of music you will not like it.That's all.
Not What I Was Hoping For.......2002-12-03
Based on the reviews I was looking for a really "happy" CD. I was disappointed. It's not that the music was bad - just not as glorious as some of the reviews made it sound.
Irresistible dance music.......2001-06-21
This is a wonderful album that will put you in a dancing mood. An instant pick-u-up. This is zouk, soca and reggae music from Martinique, Barbados, Haiti and Jamaica. This album, like most of the Putumayo releases, not only has well known artists such as Bunny Wailer and Arrow, but also little known artists as well. It is a great place to begin for someone who wishes to explore Caribbean music. Every song on here is irresistible and will make you wish you were in the Caribbean. The 15 page booklet contains information on each artist and the song they perform.

There's plenty of food for thought in Putumayo's delicious new Afro-Latin Party. Like the previous Putumayo compilations Afro-Latino and From Congo to Cuba, the 10 tracks here document the fascinating musical marriage between Africa and Cuba that has seen the original African rhythms brought to Cuba by slaves evolve and migrate back east across the ocean to influence a new generation of African music (and in the process produce offspring everywhere from Croatia to Portland, Oregon). But that almost implies that the disc is of interest to musicologists only, when quite the opposite is true. Afro-Latin Party is anchored by three tracks from Africando, the Cuban supergroup that records with different African lead singers, and their seamless blend of African and Carribbean spices nicely sets the tone for the disc. With Pepe and the Bottle Blondes' wry take on classic cha-cha, "Cuentame Que Te Paso" (featuring a former lead singer for Pink Martini) rubbing shoulders with classic-style salsa from Croatia's Cubismo ("Morenita") and Puerto Rico's Jose Mangual Jr. (the white-hot "Ritmo Con Ache"), the disc is an excellent primer on the global reach of salsa music, but more importantly one that sounds best blasting out of speakers that aren't too far from the dance floor. --Ezra Gale
Album Description
Croatian salsa, Cuban ska, and Oregonian mambo!?!? These are three of the unlikely gems listeners will find on Afro-Latin Party. What started out as an effort to provide the perfect soundtrack to a Latin dance party became a tribute to the global appreciation and realization of the musical ricochet between Cuba and Africa.
Central to the Afro-Latin phenomenon is Africando, who provide three songs on Afro-Latin Party, each with a different African lead singer. In the 1960s and 1970s, the biggest names in African musicincluding such heavyweights as Youssou N'Dour and Salif Keitawere performing Latin music, thanks to recordings that came over from abroad. Cultural exchange between Cuba and the socialist governments in Mali and other parts of West Africa was a regular phenomenon. Performers like the Fania All Stars and Celia Cruz toured Africa and became musical icons.
In 1992, legendary Africando founders Ibrahim Sylla and Boncana Maïga traveled to New York to record with top local salsa musicians, many who were taken by surprise by these Africans performing and their phonetically learned Spanish lyrics. Interestingly, many of the band members on the three Africando tracks here, also play on other tracks on Afro-Latin Party.

A musical history passport.......2007-06-27
It's a shame that the strong, native culture of African slaves was broken, beaten, dissolved, dissoluted when they arrived in the US. This is a CD that works both in and out of the classroom. The music is amazing, and it makes you want to take an historical tour.
Good, but not great.......2007-03-24
I am enjoying this disk, but it is not one of my favorite Putumayo collections
DOESNT GET ANY BETTER.......2006-05-23
This CD is amazing! i cannot stop listening to it, and when i do, i just want to get up and DANCE! this truly a work of art, and if you don't have this cd go and get it, because you have no idea what you are missing
Wear your dancing shoes!.......2005-05-25
The editorial reviews here explore the ethnomusicology of this disc, now let me share a gut reaction: wear your dancing shoes! This CD arrived in my mailbox on a dark winter day when I was engaged in the dreary task of cleaning my kitchen. By the third song sunlight seemed to have flooded the room, and I was dancing around with my scrub rag in hand! I guarantee it will transport you. This is my favorite new CD of the year.

Authentic Style Sounds.......2006-08-15
This was one of three steel drum CD's purchased recently, and was the best of all. Great sounds...clear with good acoustics. Sounds really mellow coming from the speakers in our back yard paradise. Very authentic Caribbean sound. Just what we were looking for to give our outdoor entertaining a fun atmosphere.

I'm on my second copy of this cd... it is still my favorite of any steelpan cd I have. It strikes just the right balance between fun and relaxing, and it makes the time between cruises go by much faster. :-)

Great Collection of New Orleans Songs.......2007-05-12
This is a great collection of songs for people who are from New Orleans or for people who love New Orleans and miss it. It has almost all of the classic Mardi Gras themed songs, and it flows really well.
The Best of the Best.......2007-05-10
No contest = if you buy one Mardi Gras CD - this is it. Orginal recordings and great original sound. This is the one Mardi Gras CD that I give to friends - where ever they live. Listen to the samples, if that doesn't do it for you, God bless you.
good all around .......2006-07-07
Enjoyed this cd very much.. It had more cajun than i expected and was glad.
Love That Jazz Man.......2002-02-15
This is a very delectable sampling of many rockin' New Orleans Jazz flavored tunes. Some of the songs are performed by such rock n roll legends like Dr. John and The Neville Brothers. Others are from more soulful artists like Madri Gras Mambo by the Hawkettes. Sill others are percussion driven like Little Liza Jane and Meet De Boys On The Battlefront. And of course there are plenty of great brass and keyboard arrangements to keep any jazz fan happy.
Whereas many of these artists were not legends in the annals of music history, their contributions to this disc are certainly very good. This is a very appropriate party tape for ayoung hip crowd especially if your are anywhere near the Bayou. Goes nice with some Crawfish, Jambalaya, and a beer or two.
Awesome and fun.......2000-01-23
This has been the star of several parties for us. A real good time mood maker. Great for Mardi Gras parties! Buy it, you won't be sorry.

Fabulous for any Broadway-lover.......2007-01-30
Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.
Top Shelf.......2007-01-04
This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.
TERRIFIC CD'S.......2006-03-23
THESE BROADWAY MUSICALS CD'S ARE A BROADWAY LOVERS DREAM. WITH EACH SONG, MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK. BOTH THE FAMILIAR AND THE FORGOTTEN SONGS ARE A TRUE LISTENING PLEASURE. IF YOU LIKE BROADWAY, YOU'LL LOVE THIS SET.
Great Collection of Broadways greatest Songs .......2005-06-14
This Collection was perfectly made it has almost all the most famous Broadway songs on this 5 cd set. The Music is great and has Broadways greatest treasures like "Memory""People""With One Look""Give my regards Too Broadway" just to name a few of this numerous cd set with over 100 songs. This is a great buy if you like musicals or The music of Broadway
Great Compilation!.......2005-01-17
If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

An album that warrants repeat listens........2007-05-11
I first came across this album when it was released it 1990, I was 16 and my cousin had it on cassette. It stuck with me over the years and about 3 years ago I looked for it on CD. I think it was out of print, but it was re-released a couple of years ago, at which point I snapped it up. Lately, I have been listening to this disc almosy every day. It has a positive message and Wallinger opens himself up on the disc, talking about personal issues that few pop practitioners touch, especially the spiritual/religious questions he ponders on "God on My Side." A great pop disc which deserves a wider audience.
Jumbo lived on Potrero Hill.......2007-01-26
I have tried several times to write a review of this album and each time I come up empty. This album represents so many things to me it's hard to sort it all out. First and foremost, it served as the soundtrack to a beautiful time in my life, one that a person never forgets, but should that necessarily preclude an objective review of what is otherwise one of the finest albums of the nineties?
In my case, yes.
If 6 Were 5..........2006-11-04
...Or, "I'd Give This CD a 6 If The Scale Went to 6". World Party's second and best album, with Way Down Now and Put The Message In The Box, plus a host of other solid, pure pop/rock/soul tunes that don't fit handily into any one particular classification, yet together they make a very cohesive, compelling listen. Karl Wallinger's writing at its best.
The Best Album That Radio Never Played.......2006-06-14
A friend gave me a tape of "Goodbye Jumbo" with the comment "This is the best album that radio never played." I gave the tape a listen and the more times I played it, the better and better it got. There are echos of other bands here, but that's NOT to say that World Party rips off other bands' sounds. I'm only saying that there's a "sound" that certain bands have that one can also find on this album....and that "sound" is good! "When The Rainbow Comes" got me hooked, but I grew into the rest of the tracks and now enjoy the whole work. The newly re-mastered CD sounds great (a heck of a lot better than that old tape) and I think those who enjoy good production work will appreciate this one. Okay, so you probably never heard any of these songs on the radio...neither had I. But trust me, you won't be disappointed by checking out what one of the other reviewers called "A 90s Gem."
A 90's gem........2006-05-02
"Goodbye Jumbo" is one of the most overlooked classics of the 1990's. Karl Wallinger, formerly the keyboardist for the Waterboys, has created a cd that highlights his influences (the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Sly & the Family Stone, Dylan), but has managed to create his own distinct style. Unlike his first cd, "Private Revolution, which was a one-man show, he has enlisted the help of a three-piece band. There is a much more cohesive feel to "Goodbye Jumbo". It's a very complex, layered cd with lots of attention to detail. Wallinger is quite the perfectionist, but he proves that it's worth it.
Wallinger's heartfelt lyrics, coupled with overly catchy rhythms, drive this cd. He covers topics like the environment, love and religion, but keeps a very positive mood throughout the record. The sequencing of the songs is great and it creates a certain ebb and flow that makes the cd even more listenable. "Way Down Now" is quite possibly one of the best Britpop songs to emerge from England in the past 20 years. It was, along with "Put The Message In The Box", a minor college hit in the U.S., but unfortunately, never struck a chord with the mainsteam. Other outstanding tracks on the album include the opener, "Is It Too Late?", the sexy "Ain't Gonna Come Till I'm Ready", the upbeat "Take It Up", the haunting "When The Rainbow Comes" and the soulful "Sweet Soul Dream".
In addition to having hired a full band, there are also guest appearances by Waterboy's violinist, Steve Wickham, and Sinead O'Connor, who lends her vocals to the ballad "Sweet Soul Dream".
In a perfect world, everyone would know about World Party and Oasis would be a footnote in musical history. From beginning to end, it is one of the most consistent cd's I've ever heard. I enjoy it just as much now as I did when I bought it in 1990. This new, remastered version certainly bolsters the sound and I'm glad that I can hear even more of the nuances. This is definitely a cd that should be in every music lovers collection!

With each successive album, Medeski Martin & Wood have become harder to pin down. Having long ago transcended their soulful organ-groove basics to enter a more expansive world of snappy beats and backbeats, eerie atmospheric effects, post-lounge riffing, and the occasional jazz overture, they occupy their own category. Produced by the Dust Brothers' John King (Beck's Odelay, the Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique), End of the World Party (Just in Case) is an agreeably varied effort, ranging from the spacey effects and Middle Eastern taint of "Bloody Oil" (on which bassist Chris Wood lays down the lumber) to the sassy electric funk of "Sasa" (one of four tracks featuring guitarist Marc Ribot) to the wordless voice effects of the jaunty title track. As ever, John Medeski is equally at home referencing post-bop piano aces like Herbie Hancock, getting down on churning Hammond organ, and making like Stevie Wonder with his "Superstition"-style synth. Unlike some MMW records, this one wastes not: all 12 tracks clock in at around the four- or five-minute mark, and they flow together with consummate ease. --Lloyd Sachs

Funky atmospheric jazz.......2007-04-17
Having heard snippets of M&WM before I was intrigued by their sound but not enough to shell out for a disc. I came across a used copy at the local thrift shop(usually not a good sign)and bought a copy at the reduced price. Someone discarded it for a reason I thought but I couldn't resist being the audio junkie that I am. It took me several listens to warm up tho the music, mostly because of the spacey nature of the disc. The spacey atmospherics are enticing and inviting , the music teases and hints at what could be but unfortuantely doesn't quite fully deliver. The songs give you the feeling of being on a desolate landscape where suddenly urban groovesters appear. Take a listen to "New Planet" and you'll get my drift. The keyboards of John Medeski are enough to hook you in, sometimes jazzy, sometimes funky but always pulling you in. Richard "Groove" Holmes or Jimmy Smith he's not but then again who is? The title track, " End of the World Party" is a funky mix of jazz that projects gloom and happiness at once. I think that is part of what I don't like much about this disc, it has a sad lack luster appeal. "Ice" creates a nice balance between jazz and funk reminiscent of Herbie Hancock back in the day. The songs are sometimes outright jazz like on the excellent "Mami Gato," unfortuantely their are not enough songs like this as they spend most of their time trying to create a new niche in the jazz idiom. One of the best tracks that mixes elements of electronica, atmospheric jazz and funk is "Midnight Poppies/ Crooked birds" that has a bit of a Latin groove mixed in for good measure. If you like atmospheric jazz that is out there you might like this disc. For my tastes it just doesn't quite deliver but rather promises with moments or songs that have more than just a hook. If you like funky-atmospheric-jazz than this will be for you. However if you like traditional jazz you might stay away from this one. Not a great disc but it does promise enough to maybe keep an eye on their future development on future discs. In the end I would give this a 3.5 for taking the old and trying to create something new.
Trippy.......2006-12-12
I bought this CD before going to see MMW (with John Scofield) for the first time at First Avenue in Minneapolis Dec 7, 2006. I had never heard of them before and liked the clip on the venue's website. So I bought a ticket and wanted to get "Out Louder", which I knew they were going to play, to familiarize myself, but the store I was at was out of it. So I bought "End of the World" instead. While some of it was a little too spacey for my liking at first, I still liked the overall funkiness of it all.
THEN....I saw them PLAY. You MUST see them PLAY!! I didn't ever want it to end! I immediately wanted to see them again! It's less than a week later and I have 2 more CD's ("Out Louder" and Scofield's "A-Go-Go" which they "back" him on) and 4 more on the way from amazon as I'm writing this. I'm like an ADDICT now! I HAVE to have them on in the car and in the house. I get back in the car after having been in a store or whatever and they're on and all is right with my world again.
I must say I like "Out Louder" and even "A-Go-Go" better than "End of the World", but only slightly. It IS trippy with the synth and the other guest players, and I do like it better after a few listens. I just prefer MMW with less guest musicians.
Wonderful, Chill Music.......2006-07-04
This is possibly one of the greatest cd's to turn on and enjoy the music while studying or just having friends over. I thoroughly enjoy this album.
Refreshing.......2006-05-10
Very interesting, a bit of a departure from the other albums they have. It is getting hard to put a label on their music, but thats what makes it so good. I have not purchased any new music for quit a while, so last week I picked up several albums this being one of them, along with Spicehouse and Zero7. I must say I love this CD, I have been playing every day in the car. The sound quality is fantastic, especially in headphones. This New York band has always been experimenting and building on their sound. I think they have come to a peak on this one. One thing is for sure, the musicianship is always top notch on all their albums, this is no exception. They have a more modern sound here Kind of Hip Hop - Trip Hop, whatever, but it sounds great. This album starts off with the strange "Anonymous skulls" and then moves into the great title track. The rest of the album seems to move in and out of trippy groves, experimental jazz and some interesting electronica. Some of my friends who are great people, but can't get out of their tiny musical worlds actually like this when I play it. It is nice to hear some fresh new music.
Every album just gets better.......2006-03-09
MMW are a band that I feel epitomizes what a band should do: Get better with each album. This installment into their already stellar catalogue is one of great proportion. I saw MMW live twice during their tour for this album, one of which was at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC (one of my favorite venues of all time), and the performance combined with the infectious grooves made me dance like I've never danced before. All three do a fantastic job of not overplaying just to impress. Medeski probably overplays some live, but Chris Wood on bass is too expressive to just capture on disc. At any rate, this album has my vote for #1 MMW album so far, and I own them all. As an additional note, to get the true effect of this trio, see them live. Billy Martin is right up there with Duduka da Fonseca as far as best trap players in the entirety of Western music, and you only get to see just how excellent he is when he plays live. During an intermission at one show, it was just him on stage while the other M and the W took a break. His improv solo playing is just as musical as anything with tonal character. Alright, that's the end of the rambling. Buy this album!

One of the perfect CDs to play in the background of a party...or when I'm just cleaning the house.
Great rocking music to drive to.......2007-06-08
I love this CD - like a lot of Putumayo recordings, it just makes me feel good when I hear the various sounds and rhythms. I love music from around the world. I have played it many many times when I'm doing errands around town and when I'm on the backroads. Anyone should like it who likes to travel and experience new places, new sounds and diverse flavors of life.
A Fun Exciting Album.......2007-05-20
I alwasy take time to get used to a Putumayo album and this was no exception. I was disappointed at first after the first song but then took to the music. I find Putumayo an exciting musical experience.
A fair CD.......2007-05-19
The first song in this album is marvellous, while others just so so which is really a pity. I decided to buy it when I heard the first song but gave up afterwards.
