Album Description
Their second album on Blue Corn contains more than the usual share of songs about current events. In 2005, the Lizards were commissioned to write five songs for various consumer advocacy groups. "The Drugs I Need" tackles the prescription drug industry, "The Tower" concerns the monopolization of big media, "Christmastime For Visa" takes on credit card debt, "Go Ahead And Die" is about health insurance, and "Toast The Earth" is concerned with a boycott of Exxon/Mobil. All five songs are on this release and they've been paired with hilarious animation, available for viewing on the Internet. "The Drugs I Need" is featured on Jib Jab and is one of the site's most popular numbers. Other songs here feature gospel-tinged tunes, a bilingual Tex Mex tune, a Les Barker poem set to music, an American folk classic, and a German hip-hop song.

Smart and funny as ever.......2007-03-09
I've been following the Austin Lounge Lizards for decades, and find this recording a refreshing return to their original perennial subjects for satire: drugs, beer, alienation and religion. How American... What makes these guys different is their highly intelligent wit AND quality musicianship. Harmonizing beautifully, articulating effectively so you can understand the lyrics, and including banjo, fiddle and slide guitar puts these guys a cut above. As with many maturing musical groups, they've finally added a female voice - a welcome change. So glad they're still keeping us laughing and singing along!
You know you want it. .......2007-01-11
The only reason I withheld one star is that too many repetitions of a couple of the songs make me feel like I've spent too long cruising blogs. Xmas Time For Visa and Exxon-Mobil don't inspire a lot of re-plays for that reason only. I can get depressed over that stuff on my own, but the messages might sink in with other folks.
The rest is gold. One True God is perfect for these troubled times. I DARE you to quit playing Wer Ist Da?, even though, y'know, the whole German hip-hop swing thing has just been done to death. A Spanish-fluent friend cracked up when I played her Buenos Dias, Budweiser -- apparently the English translations provided don't match up to the Spanish 100%. She LOVED it. (And there may be no better reading of a line, ever, than, "I would risk hell.") Conrad sounds fine on Arnold, which is just silly and fun, and Hank's voice is at its hike-up-your-socks-and-start-living-again best in Crappy Times Before. And Neighbor of the Beast always works.
You don't even have to ask your doctor if The Drugs I Need is right for you. Available without a prescription from Amazon.com.

UNDERGROUND CLASSIC.......2005-12-20
This album was the first Psycho+Logical-Records album, so i wasn't expecting it to be as good as his other stuff, because he wouldn't have had as much money making this album, so i thought the production would have been a bit sloppy, but the production is excellent. More people need to start recognizing necro. Necro is a genious when it comes to beats and his lyrics are smart and witty, yet violent. I highly recommend this album to any fans of underground hip hop.
king of gore rap.......2005-10-30
i would buy this cd just for the beats
people that put sh/t on necro have no idea what this guy is about. he is one of the hardest working rappers in the music world. he is the sickest man in the world .
the lyrics on the cd are cool as hell from sex to death to gore what more can you want from music.
the hardest GORE rapper out with the most skill!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-08-29
u hate him or luv him,"all haters die slow!!!"(necro),no matter what! necro
will allways be the hardest in hardcore underground hiphop by far,if your
soft this CD is not for you!!!
the craziest gore rap out!!!
SO MANY PEOPLE CRY ABOUT THIS CD BACAUSE IT's TO HARDCORE!
THEY NEED HIPHOP TO BE SOFT,NERDS WHO NEVER LIVED IN THE HOOD,JESS WHAT REAL HIPHOP IS STREET MUZICC!!!!!!!!!!!AND THIS CD IS THE EVILEST CD IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The Most Overrated Man In The Underground..........2005-08-01
If Necro were well-known...he would be the idol of a generation..why? because this guy, even if he's underground, spits some vicefull and dirty lyrics. And nowadays..people love it (hum, yes, just have a look at 50cent...hum).
I don't like those guys who give a bad vision of HipHop. Sex pervert, addict of violence... I'm waiting for more "intelligent" lyrics in HipHop...
This guy with no morals makes me sick. Necro is the 50cent of the underground. The production? Frantic, dirty, dark...hum, not fantastic but it would be okay if only the bad lyrics weren't here.
I think Necro should spit his crap elsewhere and outta the HipHop culture. He should return to his pornographic films and should write music for horror films..
If you like stupid lyrics, dat's for you. But if you want an intelligent HipHop, there are thousand of artistes better than him.
This guy is amazing.......2005-06-11
The Lyrics he sais or so vulger. This is for people I would say between the ages of 18 and 24. I am on the look out for this CD usually I don't like these types of subjects but when you say "I put 8 condoms on" and you know what that is just hillarious. It does not really have substance but it is really funny and vulgar. He will make you laugh some to and did I mintion that besides having a nice flow he is also a good producer and makes the beats dark and Grimey

NOT 5 STARS...........2006-05-19
...honestly only about 2.5 or 3.if this was a beat cd then it would've been a banger but it's not.necro's lyrics just don't cut it.you can tell that he was still trying to develope his style.stand out tracks are "the most sadistic" & "underground".the frestyles at the end of the album were decent even though he wasn't really freestyling.i wouldn't by this,i'd try to get it from a homeboy.
The sickest rapper ever, literally.......2006-05-17
Gets 5 cuz i can put it in and not have to skip a track. Production is all him, lyrics are dope and his delivery is ridiculous. The only flaw is that the topics of the album have no real meaning other than I Need Drugs because thats how his life really was. Everything else is just about porn & drugs which is fine cuz it's funny as hell. Whole album is enjoyable, so go cop it or you'll all die!!!!!
death rap master.......2005-09-06
ok first off the beats smash your skull in, this cd is awesome lryics are insane the there is no one like necro full stop this guy is a god,the 3 freestyles at the end of the cd are worth the cost of the cd alone anyway die
