This album is pure Quality for anyone who digs Cypress hill. I recomend it to anyone who likes B-reals raps and the beats are sickdiculous on most of the album. Also some of the guests on it are nice to see/like the late Proof from D12 to Everlast and Sick Jacken from psycho realm. Also Crow from Street platoon on the Breathe remix is tight check this one out. It should hold ya over till the next cypress hill drops.

    When this album came out and became a hit, I hope bo gave a copy to Ed Sullivan and told him where to go cuz this record just like his music is hot to death. I know I was born twenty-three years after it came out but it strikes a chord with me from gunslinger down to better watch yourself.But what caught my ear was the guitar intro to do the crawdaddy and the hard harsh sound on it.It is a must for new and old blues and rock lovers alike. keep it rockin bo and everybody else keep it clean

    Not only are the songs great, "Bo Diddley Is A Gunslinger" is a great ALBUM as opposed to being just a collection of singles. Many of the tracks were recorded at Bo's home studio, and the album in general has an upbeat humorous feel to it. One of my favorite lyrics: "If you do the Craw-Dad right, I'm gonna buy you a popsicle tonight!" (from Doing The Crawdaddy). The bonus tracks are very good too. I really don't know what else I can say about this without ruining it for you if you haven't heard it. It's loud, it's fun, and it's Bo Diddley.

    A must-have for Bo Diddley fans! The song "Better Watch Yourself" is worth the price alone. Think - "I'm A Man" part 2. Blues Bo Diddley-Style! I give it 4 stars because most of the songs don't have the "Bo Diddley Beat" that we all love. Still a great cd and a good buy!

    Diddley's fifth album, originally issued in 1961, didn't really expand on his formula - Diddley beat, propulsive rhythm guitar and maracas, and boastful lyrics - but it's such a bedrock sound, he didn't really need to. In addition to the title track's toast-worthy brag and the well-known "Ride On Josephine," the album is filled with treats. Diddley's bluesy recitation of "Sixteen Tons" has a darkness that (unsurprisingly) eluded Tennessee Ernie Ford, "Do What I Say" has a hypnotically twangy rhythm-lead, and though "Do the Crawdaddy" may never have caught on as a national dance craze, it's a fine tune, with Diddley's guitar forming a virtual wall-of-sound.

    Diddley's music is more carnal than that of labelmates like Chuck Berry, fueled more by the beat and the energy of the reverb than by clever stories or characters. Most of the album keeps the beat cranked, but even when it pauses for ballads like "Somewhere" and "No More Lovin'" there's a raw edge that leaps out. The melodies may be reminiscent of standard '50s rock ballads, but Diddley's singing and the production are incredibly electric.

    Bonus tracks include a loose take of "Prisoner of Love" that sounds as if it was arranged by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, the stompin' novelty "Googlia Moo," and Little Walter's (or Lightnin' Hopkins') "Better Watch Yourself." The latter two help flesh out other sides of Diddley's musical background.

    This is the complete soundtrack of the Gunslinger Girl Anime. Not to be confused with the Game OST or Image Album. The tracks are not in order according to each episode, however, it contains all the music and some apparently not even used at all. Some tracks are repeatedly used in various episodes, some are only used once. For example track 32 tema 5 is only used in episode 11, track 28 tema 4 is used in episode 1 and many others. Track 9 ansia I could not find in any episode however it seems to be the basis for many variations used in other tracks. Many of the tracks are short, lasting only 1- 3 minutes. This OST contains the edited versions of title song "The Light Before We Land, by The DELGADOS and the closing theme DOPO IL SOGNO. The CD jacket contains very nice pictures of real scenery and locations apparently modeled for many key scenes in the anime. Whether or not you're a fan of composer Toshihiko Sahashi,(Big O, Full Metal Panic!, Rayearth, Mobile Gundam Suit SEED), this OST will surely please you.

      If you're a prog rock/ELP fan than this is for you. IT's the darker side of Christmas Carols done on Synthesizers by the king Keith Emerson sometime in the mid 80's. Some of the arrangments are a little dated, but this is one I crank to ten every year and it always makes me smile.

      From the fingers that fused 'Tarkus'; from the mind that molded maniacal music with keyboard molestations; from the honky who helped heave huge pianos end over end... comes one of the most creative Christmas albums of all time. There are incredible arrangements included within this collection as well as stellar performances from the premiere key-meister of our time. The album closes with the most soulful version of 'Silent Night' that you will ever hear. Keith has been called every name in the book from genius to prodigy to legend. Listen to this album, though and get lost in the inherent soulfulness of the season. Then call Emerson the bringer of peace-filled tidings. Happy Christmas, Keith (in the middle of July) and thank you for your gift.

      May sound a bit strange to some as its not just another sweet Christmas Pudding! This is a gem of improvisations on familiar tunes - as well as new ones! For all lovers of sparkling mixes of rock and jazz and electronics!

      I place Keith Emerson side by side with giants like Paul McCartney, Miles Davies, Tom Jobim and Cole Porter. It is a shame is work is not known as it should be. Anyway, this is a good opportunity to become acquainted with one of the most creative, daring and coherent artist of our times. "Glorietta" and "I Saw Three Ships" are small masterpieces and show very eloquntly Keith's prowess both in synthesizers and the Grand Piano. It is time for the big labels to start editing some of the solo materials of this giant.

        This album's cover features Bo Diddley in cowboy garb. Despite the title, this is not a concept album. Only three of the songs ("Gun Slinger", "Cheyenne" and "Whoa Mule") have a western theme. But the songs are generally good. There are two actual great songs, "Ride on Josephine" and "Cadillac". As for the rest: "Gun Slinger" is a fun song. "Doing the Crawdaddy" is a silly "dance craze" song. "Somewhere" is an interesting rewrite of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". "Cheyenne" is a good cowboy song. "Sixteen Tons" is a good cover of the Tennessee Ernie Ford classic. "Whoa Mule" is a pretty good song ablout a mule. "No More Lovin'" is a decent ballad. "Diddling" is a good instrumental. "Working Man" and "Do What I Say" are previously unreleased songs that are unremarkable. Fans of Bo should enjoy this album.
