Probably the best Bay Area hip-hop I've heard.......2005-02-25

I am not downing Bay Area rap, but I have heard really good artists drop their level of seriousness to almost nothing. The Bay has probably some of the best artists ever, but Kubiq is the new guy to help change the older cats find their old style again. Hip-hop today is all about what attracts to the younger audience. When I was growing up, I wasn't able to get half of what these kids today can get.

I am not jealous, but it solely surrounds these kids today and what they think. I wasn't allowed to think about anything, until I started paying bills. They have changed the rap game to suit these kids, and leaving us older folk without OUR music, like the government leaves out in the streets to rot.

Kubiq keeps his flows for everyone youger, older, and the messages are really the same, but said differently to us to get us to undestand equally. This is why he is true hip-hop.

West Coast at it again..........2002-04-26

this album is proof that the west coast (and the bay area) are serving up more revolutionary tunes. fanatik and heratik have, through artists like mic-t, azeem, and kubiq, begun to raise the bar. foreign legion's album, kidnappervan, also testifies to this hard-edged, playfulness. kubiq seems to be picking up where de la soul and ugly duckling leave off. no doubt, this is a bangin album and deserve a spot in any head's backpack...peace.
