This album is slammin'. I saw the vid on BET and and got the album when it came out. Best songs-Here I go, What the Boy Like, Jenny Jonez, What you do to me, Westside . . .just tight! They came to Kent State just when the album was out, I saw 'em live and met 'em after the show! They were awesome. Much love to Chi-Town for the IS!!

I.S. is on. I realy luv that they slipped in Chicago blues ledgend Buddy Guy. It amazes me that Chicago only has a babies handful of Hip-Hop artists when it is the second largest African-American urban population in the U.S.. I think these ladies, Common and Crucial Conflict might just lead the way for a very overlooked section of Urban America

Yo what's up. Me personally I think the album tight, the lyrics are straight, the beats are bumpin and its really worth buying. I knew about Infamous Syndicate way before they even really came out so I always thought they were going to really blow up. They came to my school and performed "Here I Go" and "Hold it down". People didn't really to much know about them, till I kept on telling them how tight they were. So I guess a lot of the kids at Corliss High finally got a chance to here what I have been talking about. I think Infamous Syndicate are one of the greatest and probablly the only female rap group out. I listen to thier CD evreyday but mainly if I don't feel like being bothered and something's on my mind because their songs really get your mind off a lot of things because once you get to bobbin your head and singing or rappin along with the lyrics you forget all about your problems. Anyway thier album is really worth buying and I am behind them 100% every step of the way. I'm out,

Willie Clayton has one of those ethereal voices- he's one of those stand-out singers. His peers are Al Green, Otis Redding, Bobby Womack- the greats. Amazingly, he has only enjoyed steady but modest commercial success since the 60s. On his latest CD he moves closer to mainstream R & B rather than Southern Soul (retro-soul). In fact there's even a little hip-hop in the mix ("Fact, No Rumour" features rapping by his son dubbed "Young Bap" & the Ying Yang Twins joing Willie on the remix of "Monkey See, Monkey Do"). But don't let that scare you off if you don't dig rap 'cuz by far all the ingredients WC fans like are here. The first hit is "Love Mechanic", which is classic upbeat chitlin' circuit soul music. Plenty of steamy, soulful jams are here like "Whipped", Curtis Mayfield's "So In Love", the very Marvin Sease-like "I Wanna Get It On", "Take 'um Off", etc.. You also have the requisite dance tracks ("Keep Steppin'", "Monkey See, Monkey Do", "Love Zone"). Other notables are his version of Marvin Gaye's "I Want You", the gorgeous "Unconditionally" and the sentimental "My Mama Song" (destined to be a mega-hit!).
