If you haven't heard of Halfbreed before, you definetly need to do yourself a favor and check them out. Unfortunately the group is no longer together anymore, R.O.C. is kicking it with Twiztid again and Skrapz has a solo career, but this cd will always be remembered as one of the best the underground has to offer. R.O.C.'s beats are simply outstanding and both members, but Skrapz in particular, rips great flows. I have this cd and I can honestly say you will be able to listen to the entire thing the whole way through without having to skip a track, which is rare to find. While all the songs are great, my personal favorites are "Don't Get Caught Up" and "Plead." Spread the virus!

This stuff is really good! I discovered Halfbreed because I like Twiztid alot. Most of you probably know the story with SOL from Halfbreed and Twiztid, so I'm not even going to go into that. Twiztid is a great group, so is Halfbreed. The production is excellent for such an underground group. SOL really knows how to make great horrorcore beats. Skrapz is great at flowing. Most of the chorus' are extremely catchy, so after a shorting while of listening to this, you will be singing along. It's really a shame that they called it quits because they really had something great going. Their newer stuff, the Level Jumpers, is pretty good too though. Anyways, give this one a chance, add it to your cart. I figure that if you made it this far, actually finding them, then you will definately enjoy it. I hope this was helpful to you.

This is the illest cd. I listen to all the Horrorcore stuff, mostly underground and this dominates it all, no matter how many cds i get i still put this one in the player more often than anything else.

NOW I ACTUALLY HEARD OF HALFBREED NOT BECAUSE OF HOUSE OF KRAZEES. HOUSE OF KRAZEES WERE GREAT BUT WHEN BONES AND HECKTIC LEFT THEN TWIZTID BECAME SO MUCH BETTER THAN HOK EVER WAS. THEN R.O.C. FORMED HALFBREED AND HALFBREED BECAME BETTER THAN HOK EVER WAS SO IT WAS A GOOD MOVE FOR BOTH PARTIES. KONTAMINATION IS HALFBREED'S BEST RELEASE AND ONE OF THE BEST RAP CDS OF ALL TIME. IT STAYS WICKED AND HAS KILLER PRODUCTION. SKRAPZ IS A MANIAC ON THIS CD AND IS A VERY TALENTED MC WHILE SOL LAYS DOWN THE FRESHEST BEATS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY UNDERGROUND FAN OF RAP OR HORROROCORE. AND IF YOU'RE A JUGGALO WHO HAS A OPEN MIND AND ISNT GONNA HATE HALFBREED CAUSE OF SOME BS THEN YOU SHOULD DEFINATELY PICK THIS ONE UP.

Twiztid ain't better than Halfbreed, they just have more fans because they're swingin' off ICP and copyin' off Halfbreed. SOL is the devil himself. He is the brains behind Murder Murder, the song most "juggalos" consider their favorite song. This CD you can listen to over and over and never get sick of it or have to skip over even one song. Also, there is SO much bass in this CD so if you have a good system, this'll BLOW YOUR MIND! Way better than anything you've ever heard. If you like this album, than you are smart and like smart music, so I'd also reccommend Marz's Lung Foo Mo She.

5 out of 5 stars Great raw Black Metal from France.......2006-09-20

Haemoth are a Black Metal duo hailing from France. Although they've put out a couple of other albums, this is the first of their work readily available on this side of the Atlantic.

If asked to describe their sound, I would say their raw, kitchen-blender-turned-on-high guitar sound reminds me of early Gorgoroth, 1349, and fellow Frenchmen Antaeus, and the highly distorted Black Metal vocals bring to mind San Francisco's Crebain.

I was actually surprised to find this available here on Amazon because I'd say that these guys are pretty underground-style Black Metal, and far from the Dimmu-influenced mainstream.

Haemoth are fond of beginning songs with quiet and eerie little instrumental interludes -- then hitting you over the head with a sudden vicious surprise Black Metal crescendo attack.

The final 3 tracks are taken from their 2004 split with Nemeton, and I find them even more satisfyingly raw than the rest.

So if you like bands still putting out what I would call true Black Metal like Sargeist, Pest, Tsjuder, Urgehal and 1349, I would say this is definitely worth checking out.

-- But hurry, this disc is a limited edition of only 2000 copies!
