    5 out of 5 stars Too Good.......2003-07-21

Without doubt this is the best hip-hop album I have ever purchased, the lyrics are so Intelligent and will have your head bobbing through the whole album. If you like British hip-hop or just good hip-hop you have got to get this.

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely Bloody Crackin' Dope Educated Fiends (Mic Fiends).......2002-04-04

Many people are quick to dismiss anything hip-hoppish that comes out of the UK. The main reason being the accent, and also the production. Let me say, firstly, the beats are quality, this isn't anythin' you'd expect to hear in the US, west, east, south, these are UK BEATS. The production on the album could very well give UK hip-hop it's own sound, the one they've needed for so long, and just with one album. And secondly, the accents are only half noticeable, but combined with the MC's quality flow you won't even think twice about it, combine THAT with dope lyrics and a good charisma and you have yourself a complete package. If you want to download a song from this album, just to check it out, I'd recomend every one, if I had to chose one in particular, then get 'ABC', one of the BEST, and yes BEST Hip-Hop songs I've ever heard. Now I'm into two kinds of hip-hop, Underground, and PAC-hop, listening to Binary Star, Black Star, Gang Starr, Big L, right to Biggie and Pac, and still this song is as good as anything they've produced. The whole album is quality, 'Herbaholics', right to 'BBC'. The one minor flaw, and a VERY minor one is that the album may get a little too repetitive, it's a long album, some of the songs may start to sound the same over a few listens, but still it's a VERY worthwhile purchase an I STRONGLY reccomend it as a HIP-HOP fan.

    peace.

This is without a doubt the most creative and mind blowing hip hop album I have heard. Life and Si-phillie are the most intelligent, funny, inventive and flowing Mc's that my hears have ever been blessed to hear. These guys must be so intelligent to spit these endlessly tight lyrics at such a pace. Just to give you an idea of how good these Mc's are, they do a track (the alphabet song)which works it's way through each letter in the alphabet, delivering a verse complied of words, that all begin with the same letter.
Usually I find that British hip hop albums have no problem delivering tight lyrics, but the production on most of them usually involves some monotous, boring, weak beat, gently tapping away in the background. This album certainly does not belong in the above catagory, as the production (done by Dj Nappa) is some of the best I have heard!
Mind blowing tracks include 'Herbaholics' (a hilarious, tight track delivering the truth about ganja), 'Phi-Life is here' (one of the best produced, incredible songs I have come across), 'Take Heed' (THE BEST HIP HOP TRACK YOU WILL HEAR!), 'The alphabet song (THE BEST MC'ING ON THE PLANET), 'Class A' (spitting the dangers of class A drugs) and 'The shining (ONCE AGAIN displaying the greatest lyrics ever written).
I am usually more into my American hip hop, but this album upstages even the classic albums. THIS HAS NOT LEFT MY CD CHANGER FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. THIS IS THE MOST PROGRESSIVE HIP HOP EVER! THIS WILL BE THE MOST WORTHWHILE INVESTMENT YOU WILL EVER MAKE!......PEACE

    5 out of 5 stars On Point.......2001-02-15

Yep, this album is definitely on point. There are no wasted words as Phi Life Cypher deliver their commentary on social issues effecting residents of the UK in the form of their fluid and fast flows over nice production. A must have for the millenium.
