An excellent album i don't have the black album but Kev is one of the dopest producers today still under the radar, but proves here why he's in such demand, Jay himself asked for the remix of his album (although there are about 7/8 other versions) I reckon this is way better than 9th's plus the others. The stand trks 99 problems- Kev laced the trk with crisp beat that rides nicely over a plump bassline whilst stabs of guitar licks add to the joint. Allure- as good if not better than the original, Jay Z rhymes flow effortlessly over Kevs bass and beats. Reaaly a worthy buy even if your just fan of one or the other bcuz if it's Jay you dig it's worth feelin him over a totally different sound that your used to, On the other hand if your not a really big Jay fan (like myself) i really felt the heart and soul of Jay lyrics over the smooth production. That a sign of a great producer, to breath new life into the same lyrics, Kev allows that and i respect Jay more bcuz i wasn't all that bothered bout him (even though he has a dope flow) This is a very soulful album, and if you like the Common, L.B's you will dig this album, however you can pick it up a lot cheaper than the price on here. All said and done if you like to chill to laid back hiphop you will need this album. Hope this review was helpful.

Excellent sounding album/mixtape for those who like the production styles of Pete Rock or 9th Wonder. The fly in the ointment is that the mastering of the CD brings in too much loudness, to where the high portions are drowned out, and the low notes are subject to distortion on some audio systems.
