Album Description

Customer Reviews:
love the beats, not the lyrical content.......2007-01-11
Ill tell you this right now I will never be down with calling women Bi*ch or hoe. But The beats are just plain raw. If u have a special sound system in your car I would certainly consider the amended version. Word of advice for Webstar(webbie), have more respect for women and keep up the good beats.
You'd think somebody whose real name is Webster would have opened a dictionary at least once........2006-06-06
This is absolute [...]. It's so bad its funny. In the big picture it's very sad that the great music of hip hop has sunk this low. He has no talent whatsoever. All he does is rhyme swears with the same swear, and when the words rhyme it's so basic. All of this is with a horrible flow and a [...]voice. Not that it matters but its worth mentioning hes ugly as hell. His lyrics are of a 3rd grader who learned a ton of profanities early on. All he says every song is the same damn thing. He has absolutely nothing to say except bling hoes and how savage his life is (sarcasm). What ever happened to the days of Ready To Die, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, and The Don Killuminati The 7 day theory just to name a few. If you are a true rap fan you will not buy this crap because you actually can figure out that it sucks. Meaning you're not an idiotic teenager who thinks theyre [...]by blasting this in their car who cant see the absolute lack of talent. A person who doesnt rap could easily outdo this album that's how bad it is. This is the opposite of what rap was supposed to be. I hate the rappers that just sell out and pump out horrible tracks really fast to get rich and don't care about the music. I really hope somebody can save the desolated wasteland of the hip hop industry. I'm a local rapper so I will end this review with my own rap which annihilates anything Webbie has or ever will make.
Fake mcs must pick up a dictionary your lack of vocabulary makes me laugh hysterically even a lobotomy cannot save a feeble mind rap bout more the nines you don't own you currency and the number a hoes you take home and attempt to act fully grown be legit not ignorant is my motto consider what effect today has on tomorrow there is no higher form of ignorance than a closed mind blind to the oppositions it will find I infiltrate your mind state to create vivid visions otherwise unobtainable incisions inflicted when your escalades in collision while still in ignition because your brain is less advanced than intellivision
Trash, trash, and more trash..........2006-05-17
Now I usually don't give something one star because for me to give something one star it has to REALLY suck. Heck, this is only my second review. But Webbie manages to hit rock bottom with the release of his album Savage Life. And for that matter I don't think you can live to be 18 like he says he is long enough to live a life like that.
But back to the album, you can really tell that Webbie's vocabulary skills are really limited with his constant usage of the b-word and the s-word in almost every bar he uses and his hooks. Song titles don't get creative here with "G-S**t", "Gutta B", and the disgusting "Bad B". And as if that song wasnt already bad enough he does a remix with Trina (now that sounds like a winning formula?).
Webbie is definatley describing himself on the song "Retarded", why anyone would make a song like that song is beyond me. And "Gotta Show Me U Worth It" is a phrase I'm definatley going to.
So there has to be a bright spot here right? Well I havent even mentioned his single, "Give Me That", but trust me it's not good because of Webbie. Bun-B is featured in it and he manages to shine nicely without the filthy mouth. For that matter his verse is the only thing worth listening to on this whole CD if you havent thrown it out the window by now.
Oh!!!!! it hurts please stop!.......2006-05-04
Now you see from the title I am actually polite in saying "please stop". This is ridiculous. Where did webster come from and someone please slap the clown that gave him a record deal. This is another example of superficial subject matter, poor rhymes and perfectly wasted beats. Webbie please wrap your hands around your own neck and choke yourself.
Raw..........2006-04-07
At first. I was a little judgemental: put off by the subject matter and what not. You know, the grown and sexy era is "In", the gangsta era is out. But as time went on, I couldn't seem to take this disc out of my player, feel me? This album is raw. There are atleast seven classics on this album - for real - that grow on you like moss on a willow tree. You gotta be careful with "You Don't Want That", "Retarded", "I Got That", "Crank It Up", "Like That", and "How You Ridin'".... Cause you either gon' crash your car or kill somebody with the spirit they envoke. "Gimme That"? Sh__, you heard the song, right?? You damn near might catch a sexual harassment case. Straight fire (its music that makes you want to do something). The rest of the album isn't bad either. Based on those seven songs, I would give it a 5(for rawness, style, and quality). The rest of them album? 3s and 4s all day. Maybe one 2 in there. Overall, this is one of the better albums of '05, and had this Cali Fella jiggin' all summer.

Customer Reviews:
re release.......2007-04-20
well it is a great album, but as for this release by turbo i can't comment on it as i don't have it, although i'd say it is probably a bootleg cause why didn't mca or curb productions put it out they owned the licence back in 84 apart from the live track which i'm sure they got off of the john farnham anthology cd i'm not sure where they got the other 2 songs or if they are indeed different. i have nothing's gonna stand in our way on 12 inch and it is not included there, unless it is the spectre general cover from transformers [i don't know about the real life one haven't looked into it as i only got it for farnham's ones] which are the only 2 songs of the 4 performed in the movie by him that i have found versions of on cd so as john or his record company has not released them well his ones the other 2 which he sung are randy bishop pasha, or mca the soundtrack i'd be dubious until i got one, and i think hell's got a better chance of freezing over Toby
A great soundtrack!.......2007-03-27

9. Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way - Instrumental Reprise (03:45)
10. Justice for one - Instrumental Reprise (04:00)

12. Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way (version 2)

This is a really great soundtrack, and a good movie also. You should try to track down a copy of this soundtrack online, if you can find it.
Music That Defines An Era.......2007-01-21
"Music Inspired By The Motion Picture", its a statement that no longer exists. "Savage Streets" is an excellent blueprint of what a soundtrack should be. Every song follows an underlying theme or scenario that occurred in the movie. This is the CD version that contains some bonus tracks not included on the LP or cassette. If you can skip the last three bonus live/remixes after track 10, you have a full complete classic album. Heres a prophetic exploitation one liner from the film, "Disco sucks, Punk is dead, give me ROCK! Or give me head." Oh yeah, they give it to you and then some. 1984 was a great year for 80's pop culture. This is a fine representation of it.
