Poly Sci [Explicit Lyrics]
Editorial Reviews
Spin
Poly Sci wriggles free from any standard hip-hop category. As Poly Sci unfolds, strange traces of Forte's learning seep through--cellos, Dostoevsky, Philip Glass--making for a crush between academia and street life that utterly absorbing.
URB
The intricacies of his music's drawing factor is as diverse as the Fugees' fanbase. Armed with a Wyclef brainstorm, Forte's first single is a take-off on the new wave 80s classic, "Ninety-Nine Luft Balloons.

John Forte's "Poly-Sci": Powerful, Beautiful, Excellent.......2000-11-29
In this incredible album, John Forte's unique lyrical expression will keep you listening over and over. It seems like every track is a great surprise, unique and highly listenable, but never bland. Buy "Poly Sci" and I guarantee it will become a new fixture in your CD player.
quite the talent.......2000-03-04
John Forte soars on this cd just as he has on all of the other songs he has appeared in in the other refugee camp albums. his song "they go me.." is just a rapid beat, soulful track. "ninety nine, flash the message" is just an incredible song. alll of john forte's talent shows on this album. make ure to buy it and all other refugee albums.
Good, but not great.......1999-09-24
Forte undoubtedly has incredible talent as a lyricist, but his actual rap needs more work. While the first and second tracks are outstanding by any standards, the following tracks quickly decline in quality, with a few decent ones here and there. I rarely get to track #3 before I eject the CD and put in another one. Most of the album is weak, with boring, generic backgrounds and/or beats that just aren't catchy.A few good one-liners are scattered throughout the album, as well as some obvious signs of intelligence behind the pen, however.
TIGHT!!!.......1998-08-09
Trust me, buy this CD. Fu-ge-la foreva...John Forte's rhymes are every bit as good as The score, by fugees, The Carnival by Wyclef, Canibus...Refugee Camp --The highest quality rap label out, forget No limit, Buy John Forte (and every other refugee camp cd!)
*Jeni Fugita is good, very, very good.
Street Science.......1998-07-31
I sat through the whole CD without skipping a track and started listening again for the knowledge after grooving to it.
Forte's lyrical twang keeps your head bopping while laying down some knowledge. He blends a fun, hip hop, at times commercial sounding flavor with his intellectual savy, philosphical banter, and street knowledge.
The real strengths of his album are some powerful one liners which are tied together by some questionable themes. With this in mind, hip hop heads all over will be quoting Forte's phrases such as "feeling pressure like a black where only whites can sit." If not, they're missing out on some powerful symbolic, poetic language which Forte handles skillfully.
A great album which promotes self-affirmation and intellectualism in the Hip-Hop nation... a much needed break from misguided notions connected to money, power, and love.

More Please.......2001-05-07
The albumn is every bit as good as the Score or any Fugee solo efforts. Almost every song has me captivated, especially Poli Sci, Flash the Message, Madina Passage and They Got Me. I think it's about time John Forte made another albumn. But next time make it a bit longer. Or even better, how about another Fugees albumn?
THIS ALBUM IS PHAT!.......1999-09-23
yo this album is phat. If you liked him on the "Score" then you gonna love this album. Check out tracks like Poly Sci, Medina Passage, They Got Me, We Got This, and so much more!!!! These song are off the hook. -Big Jeff from Long Island

Product Description
The Moviehouse Arcade takes their fans in a new direction with this four-song e.p. After the dark exterior and emotion interior of their last release the Arcade pull their sound in a pop direction. Sing-a-long backing vocals, programming that requires your best earphones, and an emotionless sexual narrative pushes this e.p. into the danceable realm of the partygoer. The character from their last release returns, ready to push his transgressions to the brink. Two original tracks, and a standout cover of the Rolling Stone's Miss You comprise the traditional tracks on this e.p. If you aren't out of your seat after listening to these tracks then you need to check your pacemaker. An eleven-minute epic, programmed by the band, finishes off the disc by following the character into the realm of the unknown through four distinct movements and ends with the listener prepared for the last step of the Moviehouse Arcade's ambitious tale.
