First i would like to say that every song ive ever heard from afroman is seriously amazing. I swear this is exactly what hip hop and the rap game needs. His lyrics and flow are really good, his beats are soo tight. He has his own unique style thats irresistable. Everyone should pick up a copy of this cd and all of his others.Afroman is down to earth and talks about real stuff and also loves talking about having a good time with his homies smoking weed and getting drunk. He is really funny too. He's not all about smoking weed and he dosnt talk about it to be cool. Just have an openmind and please listen, just because he isnt a mainstream rapper like 50 cent dosnt mean he isnt good. Everytime i listen to one of his cd's it automatically puts me in a good mood. All these people are like Afroman is awesome and I said he is
a one hit wonder and there like no way I am like yes he will be
a one hit novelty he does not even rap.Yes the song is good but
it is just one song but here is this songs rating for you.

Really great single with 2 remixes of "Because I Got High" that cannot be found on the "Good Times" LP. Also, bonus track "Back On The Bus" that you can only find on this album! Buy Afroman's full-length album "Good Times" today!!

... Funny doesn't begin to describe it. It is a totally relaxing song and you can even get an anti-drug message from it if you choose to (although I can't really say that I took it that way). Listen to it, buy it and enjoy!

"Because I Got High" was probably the dumbest song of 2001...the lyrics sound like something that an eight-year-old would write. Yes, I know it was meant to be funny but it's really not. Getting "high" on drugs is not something to joke around about--EVER. It's a serious matter. It's not as though Afroman has had any other singles out since last summer...kind of like another one-hit wonder. Afroman is an okay rapper, but I wish he'd write more intelligent songs...something that people could take him seriously by. Plus, they played this on the radio so much that it's gotten very annoying! All Afroman raps about on his album, 'The Good Times', are drugs, drinking, sex, and violence. A very crude album and song. For anyone who's got even half of a brain, this cd is NOT recommended.

    OK, the song "Because I Got High" CANNOT get any cooler!!! I have loved this song since I heard it on the radio. It is so awesome! If you look at it in a serious way it may also teach a lesson...not to get high. But if you are just looking for a really kewl song to sing along to and just have fun...this is still the song to choose! Don't miss out on this song, it rox!

    this is great cd, the main song because i got is funny but theres alot more to this cd. afroman is funny and talented he blends rap, with hip hop with RnB and even alittle gospel. definately a cd worth buying. A Fro Man.

    i've only heard "because i got high" and i just gotta say, it's hysterical. it's the theme song for flounder at dc 101, but it's getting played all the time now b/c people love it so much. if the rest of the cd is anything like that one song, it is definitely worth the money!!
