Couple of nice tunes, lyrics not so hot.......2004-12-03

After listening to the CD a number of times I find it has some value. I can't give it 5 start just because I find there is not as many 'GREAT' tunes there. My favorite ones: Come Along, Love has left your eye, Last time. One problem I find with this CD should be probably attributed to my expectations. I really wanted more mature lyrics then what is acutally there. After listening to artists like Tori Amos, Jewel (not just her pop stuff) and Dido (ok, maybe she is more pop then Tori) it is little hard to get used to more "fluffy" music. In her defence she is a new commer and I hope for growth and development of her own style in the next CD. Overall, the songs I find interesting do justify my choice to buy the CD.

The sexiest woman alive!.......2003-08-06

There are several reasons to buy this CD, not the least of which is Titiyo's incredible singing, especially on the title cut, which, rightly, was a huge international hit. But I want to plug the "extended" version of "Come Along" if only because it includes a video of the title song that is the best argument I know in support of my assertion that Titiyo is the sexiest woman alive! I happened to be in Germany when this video came out, and I was certain I was witnessing the rebirth of pre-rhinoplasty Cher. The sun-drenched video, which appears to have been filmed in the Australian Outback, caught my eye, but it was Titiyo's sultry, bluesy mezzo that won my ear: I knew I was in the presence of a major talent. I later found out that she is from Sweden, not diesel country at all, and that her half-sister is Neneh Cherry. It IS a small world after all! So why not five stars? There are great musical moments on the album, in addition to the instant classic, "Come Along," but few of the other numbers rise to this level. "Hold Her Tight" and bonus-track "Josefin Dean" (which sounds like an outtake from the "Dusty in Memphis" sessions) are among my favorites. [Titiyo co-wrote this latter.] But buy it for the video, and then savor the tunes. The sight of Titiyo stretched out on a motorcycle is itself worth the price of admission.

Pleasant Surprise.......2003-01-15

I was pleasantly surprised with this album. I heard "Come Along" on the Providence album and took a chance. Titiyo has a powerful voice and songs, which speak to the soul. Come Along is great as is 1989, Love Has Left Your Heart, My Heart Won and Right or Wrong. Powerful voice and lyrics - this is one of my favorites.

Titiyo's "Come Along" album is a winner in every respect. Titiyo's powerful voice calls to us to join her in a land of enchanment and spiritualism. The songs are tight and uplifting, with lyrics that inspire thought and imagination. This one's going quadruple platinum!!!
"Come along" and ease your pain with Titiyo. The entire album is a wonderful journey into a realm of wonders.

Tityo's "Come Along" is Amazing and Different than whats played on the Normal Radio Rotation, If you are not into the average voice I Recomend Tityo. I also recomend Johnny Lang, Fiona Apple, Torri Amos, Res, & The band Prior Life.

Titiyo just keeps getting better with age; should you need proof, just put this collection on your CD player and witness for yourself. Her greatest hits are all here--"Come Along" and "Man in the Moon"--along with some nice surprises, like her duet with Shakka Bo on "We Vie." I especially like her latest single (a hit in Europe) "Loving Out of Nothing," the video of which I had been playing daily on youtube.com before someone pulled it for copyright infringement. If she stumbles at all, it is probably on "A Change is Gonna Come," which no one has ever managed to sing better than Sam Cooke. All that aside, she may be nearing forty, but she's still a strikingly beautiful woman, with a voice that gets under your skin and stays there. Why she continues to languish in near-obscurity in this country is a mystery, but for those of us who have seen the light and harkened to the music of this consummate artist, to Titiyo belongs the glory.

This album is truly Amazing. Curiously, as the previous reviewer, I got this CD as a gift from a swedish friend in 1998 and I've been fascinated by sensuality of Titiyo's voice and the album's deep and intense sound arrangements ever since.

I got this CD as a gift from a swedish friend. It is unbeliavable. Titiyo's voice is profound and, I would say, sensuous. If you like Sade, you will definitely like this CD. I got hooked on the two most famous songs, but the whole CD is definitely worth every penny.

Hey! A couple of years ago, when I visited relatives in Sweden, I got to listen to this cd a lot while in the car. The songs I remember the most are Come Along and 1989. I can't remember the rest very well, but I am sure that they were ok as well. (So, I don't know what to rate it- 3 is the middle, so don't get mad!)

This is a great one to introduce to a little one, rather than Britney Spears' music.

Can you really say she's Polish. The girl's family isn't. This album has a hint of R&B mixed in with the smooth, yet artistic lyrics that somewhat resemble a Sinead O'Connor and girl version of India Arie. If you like solid music, although not so much pop to the sound, then this could be you

'Come Along' with Titiyo.......2002-01-09

I heard 'Come Along' (the hit single) on the Polish radio when I was visiting Poland over xmas. I instantly got hooked on the catchy chorus and bought the whole CD. I have to say that the singer Titiyo (Swedish/African-American) has a strong, rock-like voice combined with nice rock-pop music. And the fact that she's Nenah Cherry and Eagle-Eye Cherry's sister doesn't hurt her musical credibility a bit. The whole album is good and it is too bad it hasn't been released stateside. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Jewel, Sharkira, Nelly Furtado, Michelle Branch, Sheryl Crow or Alanis. If you hear 'Come Along,' I guarantee you'll be hooked too.

this is one of the best cd i purchased this year.every single song is great!the best tune for me is 2nd track "1989",released lately as a new single in europe.11 songs in this album are easy to hear,memolize and sing along.it's the beautiful balance of mixture with R&B and rock.i recommend this cd to everyone who love music but especially to people who only know and hear to US or UK R&B.

I heard "Come Along" on the radio, and Titiyo's voice blew me away. Watch out! Here comes another singer of Macy Gray's calibre.

This song makes you feel cool.......2001-05-14

I heard Titiyo's Come Along on the radio the other day and it was a cool experience. The song really makes you wanna get in your car and drive so fast as you can, wind blowing by. The guitar riff featured in the song is a good idea, it seems to mix all the genres and gives the song this distant feeling that makes it almost oriental.

OK, I have to admit that this song reminds of the Swedish band KENT and female artist Moloko, but Titiyo's version is also made with a talent and sounds kinda fresh. Good experience and if the other songs in the forthcoming album are this good, we seem to have a new Moloko here. :)
