dont be smokin in the drive thru.......2006-05-02
this is a great solo effort by the one and only, monoxide child of twiztid. all songs are great im able to litsen to it from start to finish all the time. i cant wait for jamie to come out with phatso...im sure it will be phat. he hasnt come out with a solo album since the house of krazee days. (Mr. Demon Sacrifice) they dont sell house of krazees on amazon but go to soulseek and you can probably find it as well as this cd and all psychopathic cds. a must have for all the juggalos. MCL to all the juggalo family. ICP muthafackoos!!!!
Great solo effort.......2006-02-06
The majority of juggalos out there seem to think that Monoxide is the inferior member of Twiztid, but when he dropped Chainsmoker, everyone seemed to be pretty pleased with it. Monoxide delves into his personal life a lot on this album and really shows you a more intimate side of himself. In my opinion, Monoxide has always had the ability to touch you with his lyrics on a more personal level than Madrox, which is what makes his solo album so good. The only song on here I didn't much care for was "Shoe Fitz" but outside of that, every song is great. Be on the look out for Madrox's solo album "Phatso" due sometime this year.
Monoxide is the best!!!!!!!.......2005-12-19

Monoxides attempt at a solo album.......2005-09-05
Well here we go Monoxides first solo album, now Jamie Madrox is my favourite of the two but Mono has some skills so i am gunna check them out.
Lite It Up: Mono cuts a good verse over a bass beat, which is ok, hes talking about his past, then goes in to the chorus which is averge, track lasts 1.07. 3/5
Drive Thru: First problem here the first track which only lasts 1.07, then we have a skit where Mono is in a car wiv a mate goin to Tasty Burger, but the drive thru employee wont serve him untill he puts out his cigarette, the police come and tazer them, funny first time around, but skip the next time. 1/5
See Me: Beat is good, the hook is catchy, Mono drops some average verses, the song is about his past before the rapping fame and why he is angry now, like trying to see his daughter, the mum has taken her away, and also being an outcast, not a track i would skip. 4/5
Wut Would U Do: I feel the hook on this terrible, it jus doesnt sound good when Mono is doin it, the verses are much better, the story is pretty simple, some people want to kill him, he wants to kill them back. 3/5
Blaze: Ok the beat is average, but Blaze is on the chorus and it is great the way he does it, and mono drops 3 good veres about smoking weed, i feel the first great song. 5/5
Outta My Way: i like the simple beat on this, Mono drops 2 good verses, but Esham is on this and i love Esham so i gotta say he does the best job, the chorus is something u might start shouting when not even listening to it, there is some reversed message at the end. 5/5
Bring Me Down: He talks about the devil alot in this and whatever bad things you do, you will meet the devil, the chorus is average, but the verses are great. 5/5
I'm Out: Skit time, Mono has jus had sex wiv some girl, after they finish she goes to the bathroom, she thinks mono is the one, but all he wants to do is leave, then i guess his good and bad conscience comes in to play, they argue about what is right and wrong, Mono is siding with the bad conscience, which is he should leave her, until the good conscience tells the bad that the girl licked his ass, the bad conscience likes it and tells Mono to stay wiv her. Funny skit. 3/5
Slut: A sex song which is pretty tedious i think, the hook is cheesy and the raps are average. 2/5
Rite Quick: Esham produced the beat, so it is good, no hook jus one big long verse about a girl and a friend, infact i dont know what this song is about, the lyrics seem messed up to me, short song, around 1.43. 2/5
Shoe Fitz: Beat is good, the hook is crap, Mono drops a good little verse, then ABK drops an average verse, then a rapper called Cash Kola drops one and he is straight fire, he blows ABK and Mono away, the song is about weed and stuff. 4/5
Change: Has the best beat on the album, talks about his daughters mother again, cause she took her away and other bad things in his life and he is trying to change. 5/5
Evil: ABK and Jamie Madrox are on this track, all 3 give a good verse, beat is evil like and hook is ok. 4/5
Thats Real: The best song on the album in my opinion, he is jus great on every verse, the hook is great and the beat has something about it that is wicked. 5/5
I was expecting this album to be awesome but after hearing it he needs Madrox by his side,IMO, something about this album jus doesnt click wiv me, maybe i need to listen to a few more times. Not a bad album and not a great one, he has the ability to write better songs and better beats could be made, Jamie Madroxs solo album next year will be better cause its Madrox, how else could i put it, but for now Violent J holds the best solo album award wiv Wizard Of The Hood. Cop this anyway.
Good, But Not Great.......2005-04-12
I had very high expectations for this album because Twiztid is my favorite group on Psychopathic and they have put out consistently solid albums since their release of the OG Mostasteless in 1998. Many Juggalos feel that Madrox is arguably a better rapper than Monoxide, but I have always liked Monoxide's style and would personally consider them equal in skill. One of the main reasons this album doesn't stand out to me as a Psychopathic favorite is because it doesn't really seem to have the "Wicked Shxt" feeling that all of us Juggalos & Juggalettes have grown to love. That's not to say that I don't respect Monoxide's artistic decision to think outside the box and develop his own style, but it just seems like something is missing from this album.
Another problem I have is that the album seems short. While advertised as having 14 tracks, 2 of them are skits and "Lite It Up" and "Rite Quick" are only about a minute long each. So now we are down to 10 tracks, only about half of which are actually good. I agree with the juggalo who said that Fritz's beats are starting to sound repetative; the production on ABK's "Dirty History" & Blaze's "Colton Grundy", as well as this album, seem very similar. Monoxide always delivers tight raps on this CD, but some of the poor beats and choruses ruin a few songs. Here is a track-by-track breakdown of the album with my Entertainment Weekly-style ratings:
1. Lite It Up - (A) - Great intro!! It easily could have been developed into a full-length song.
2. Drive Thru (Skit) - This is a terrible place for a skit on an album. Funny, but nobody wants to listen to skits over and over again.
3. See Me - (B-) - Alot of juggalos seem to like this track, but for me it is nothing special. The chorus seems kind of boring and generic, even though the rapping is tight.
4. Wut Would You Do - (C-) - I'm not feeling this one at all.
5. Blaze - (B) - This one is decent, but if I want to listen to some weed songs by Twiztid, I'd prefer "Hydro" or "Bagz".
6. Outta My Way (feat. Esham) - (D+) - I'm sorry, but this song SUCKS. I was excited when I heard Esham was gonna have a track with Monoxide, but this is a complete waste. The chorus is extremely annoying and the beat isn't very good at all.
7. Bring Me Down - (A+) - Finally the album gets good! This is one of my two favorite tracks on the CD. Awesome raps + Awesome chorus + Awesome production + Awesome concept = Awesome song!
8. I'm Out (Skit) - Funny, but another waste of a track.
9. Slut - (C-) - Not one of the better Psychopathic sex songs! The chorus is annoying, although the raps are good as always.
10. Rite Quick - (B+) - I like this one; it is short & sweet, but a solid track.
11. Shoe Fitz (feat. ABK & Cash Kola) - (C-) - Another below average song. The chorus sucks, as well as ABK's verse. That Cash Kola guy is good though! Hopefully we will hear more from him in the future, since he is down with Lavel.
12. Change - (B) - A good song about Monoxide's life; not your typical Psychopathic song, but a nice change of style.
13. Evil (feat. Madrox & ABK) - (A+) - This is my other favorite song on the album. This is a great track!! All of the rappers have great verses, the chorus is tight and the whole track is WICKED!! Songs like this are why I love Psychopathic Records.
14. Real - (A) - Another great song that doesn't sound like typical Psychopathic music. This one is a keeper.
Overall it's a good album, but not great. Let's hope if Mr. Bones comes back with another solo effort it will top this. I still love Twiztid and can't wait for "Man's Myth & Mutant"! MMFCL Juggalos & Juggalettes!!
