their best.......2007-06-06
to all the 36 fans out there im a huge fan and i might say i own all of their albums and underground ones this is one of the top 2 so but this album and bump it
Not very creative or interesting; a sub par effort by Three 6 Mafia.......2007-05-26
I love hip-hop, but the stuff I've heard in recent years has not appealed to me. When I listen to recent albums like this that get high praise yet don't deliver the quality, I sometimes wonder if the same people that give this album five stars have listened to the great rappers of the past.
Nevertheless, Three 6 Mafia have actually been around for awhile, and I've heard their singles in the past. Although they were mostly immature and disposable, they could provide a good amount of entertainment. However, 'Most Known Unknown', the group's most recent effort, falls below the standards I've expected from it (not to say they were very high). I at least expected to be entertained, but I mostly found myself skipping the track and the bulk of the songs sound like they just run into each other. A very repetitive album, 'Stay Fly' and 'Poppin' My Collar' are the songs that stand out the most, but even those aren't outstanding. The skits advertising other artist's records confirms that Three 6 Mafia weren't looking to produce an artistic classic here, and this is yet another boring southern release.
Although it's a definite cut above trash like Young Joc and the like (though that isn't saying much), it's still an immensely boring record when it's all said and done.
Nothing extraordinary, but solid.......2007-03-18
After releasing a couple of hot albums, Three 6 Mafia released "The Most Known Unknown" in 2006. The sound and beats are like their other albums, but for some reason, this one seemed to lack some explosion. "Poppin' My Collar" is a popular radio track that is quite popular with the younger crowd (16-25). The chorus and backdrop beats are catchy, and the lyrics are easy to recognize. "Hard Out Here For A Pimp" is a fun tune, with guest voice provided by Paula Campbell, which the same younger crowd may enjoy more than the 25+ crowd. "Stay Fly" was the big radio hit that made this album recognizable to many, and it still sounds unique and creative. If you prefer more of the "adult" sounds, you may prefer "Roll With It" or "When I Pull Up At The Club", where Paul Wall also lends his vocal skills. "Don't Cha Get Mad" guest stars Lil' Flip, and it definitely has his flavor... In all, the album is fairly decent, but far from the explosive, catchy sounds that some of the other rap groups provide.
I guess I'll have to review this a second time.........2006-10-20
I've reviewed this once, but it appears Amazon didn't think it was up to standards. I've returned to give my opinion on the Memphis group's latest offering yet again; it may not be quite as detailed as the first review, but blame Amazon for that.
While this album isn't classic, it is one of the finest mainstream releases in the last few years. It doesn't hold the same horrorcore lyrics found in their classic albums, such as Mystic Stylez or Da End, nor does it contain the same triple-cadence raps; what it does provide is DJ Paul and Juicy J's immortally dope production with catchy lyrics provided by the remaining members of the Three 6 Mafia.
Songs like Stay Fly, as well as it's remix, are undeniably catchy. They may not represent the best Three 6 has ever done, but it does show that Paul and J continue to make innovative music. Other songs on this album are considerably darker, at least musically, including "P' Got Ya Hooked," "Knock The Black Off Yo A'," "Got It 4 Sale," "Half On A Sack," "Body Parts III," "Swervin'," and "Roll With It." Also, more infectious and innovative tracks come from "Side 2 Side" and "Poppin' My Collar."
Also, to a reviewer below me, as I stated in my intial review, Three 6 Mafia have been together for well over a decade as it is; saying you doubt they'll be together in ten years, let alone making music is pure ignorance. If you're going to comment on a product, or group, you should at least know enough about their history in order to do so properly.
Nonetheless, this is a great album from the Triple Six Mafia. I know this review could've been better, but I didn't feel like writing the entire thing over. Hopefully, this will be give you enough information about the album in order to be helpful.

Three 6 Mafia .......2006-09-10
Three 6 still on top of the rap game. The next album they dropped has loads of great songs and hits like Stay Fly, Stay fly Remix, body parts 3, knock the black of yo a**, don't violate, hard hittaz, hard out here for a pimp and don'tcha get mad.
THE BEST.......2006-06-21
WHAT ELSE CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THIS ALBUM?? ITS THREE 6 MAFIA. SO ITS GOOD IVE BEEN LISTENING TO THEM FOR ABOUT 10YRS NOW AND EVERY CD IS REAL TIGHT THE NEW TRACKS ARE BANGING AND MUST HAVE FOR EVER THREE 6 MAFIA FAN.
Great Songs Added.......2006-06-21
If you were like me and bought the Dual Disc Version when it was first released, then you know that you didn't get the 4 bonus songs on the Audio side. With this release, 3 of those songs are included as well as 2 remixes of Side 2 Side and the addition of It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp where 3-6 raps in place of Terrence Howard. If you are a fan of 3-6, than this is a good version to add to your collection.
Most Known Unknown is a good re-release........2006-06-20
Three 6 Mafia Most Known Unknown is a good re-release, I Did like their music video yesterday and it was cool, there are more songs on this album then anything else, although there are so flaws, but the rest is different, this group is certainly much better then Dem Franchize boyz and other junk.
This is a very decent re-release.
Thumbs Up.

RAP!!!! AT IT'S BEST* * * * *.......2006-01-12
THIS IS A GREAT CD......
Get Some Six In Ya System (3.5 Stars).......2005-09-28
This isn't their best work, but it's still good for gettin' hype to. You already know that Three Six Mafia won't stray too far from their usual formula, but you also know that they're going to bring that Memphis styled crunk to your chest every time they drop an album. In terms of sound, this album is more Da Unbreakables than it is Mystic Stylez. "Stay High" feat. Young Buck and Eightball & MJG is probably the best song on the album. There are still plenty of bangin' tracks on this album to get crunk to though.
If there's a flaw here, it's the limited range of subject matter. You know that Three 6 is going to talk about the SAME EXACT THING on every album. It'd be nice if they changed speeds every once in a while, but changing up isn't what got them where they are. Oh well.
Most Known Unknowns is definitely worth checking out if you're into that good old fashioned Memphis crunk that only DJ Paul and Juicy J can bring. Their sound may be repetitive, but it's truly unique. As long as they have their cult following and remain in their niche, they'll be around for another 10 years. If you're a true fan, then you should enjoy this. Unfamiliars should probably check out some of their older stuff first. It's not their strongest work, but it's still worth looking into.
Standout Tracks: Hard Hittaz feat. Boogieman, Don't Violate feat. Frayser Boy, Stay High feat. Young Buck and Eightball & MJG (My Favorite), Swervin' feat. Mike Jones & Paul Wall, Roll Wit' It feat. Project Pat, Stay High (Remix) feat. Trick Daddy, Slim Thug, and Project Pat, and Most Unknown Hits
