Self Inflicted [Explicit Lyrics]
Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Consisting of members Mike E. Clark and Prozak, Project: Deadman is a super-group formed in 2003 from the Detroit area. Mike E. Clark's legendary production skills have garnered him multiple gold and platinum success, producing artists like KID-ROCK, GEORGE CLINTON, PRIMAL SCREAM, and INSANE CLOWN POSSE. Clark also heads Detroit-based indie label B4 Records, and Edge One Studios. Rapper PROZAK's acidic tongue has gotten him labeled the "Stephen King of Rap" by Murder Dog magazine, he's been in the Midwest underground rap scene for years recording, marketing, and performing with his former group BEDLAM.
"Self Inflicted" contains 17 insanity-laden tracks drifting from industrial political screams, to slamming bass filled rhymes, along with ghostly morbid melody's, this rock/rap duo are sure to catch a wide variety of followers.
The album features special guest appearances by the Kansas City King TECH N9NE, Flint, Michigan's BREED, and THE DAYTON FAMILY, as well as Detroit's own KING GORDY.

WE ARE...we are the way one feels when identifying a loved one's badly decomposed body. we are the grave markers scattered across the highways and backroads of the country. we are the people you feel watching you in an empty room. we are the equal and opposite reaction. we are the voice you thought called your name when you were home alone. we are responsible for the realization that life's one guarantee is death. we are the mirror's reflection in a pitch black room. we are the unexplained images captured on your roll of film. we are the shadowy figures behind the curtain in the attic window. we are the blood stains left behind at every crime scene and the fresh ink drying on every suicide letter. we are...PROJECT:DEADMAN

Mike E Clark And Prozak.......2006-08-09
I am a huge fan of Bedlam and basically all the people that Mike E Clark does or has done production for (ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, ABK, Dark Lotus, Esham, AMB, Boondox etc.), so when i heard about this album i just had to have it. This album definately lives up to the expectations that I had for it. People who are giving this album negative reviews because its not like ICP's albums are just straight-up ignorant, as if it's going to be like ICP's music, just because Mike E Clark produces the album. You have to remember that Prozak does the rapping in this album so its going to be a style closer to Bedlam than ICP. Anyways, all the songs on this album are awesome, but my absolute favourite would have to be "Poison". I highly recommend this album to all juggalos and fans of the wicked s**t!

The only reason why I peeped these dudes, was cuz they were on Stange Music label, you know the same as Tech N9ne, Kutt, Skatterman & Snug-Brim. These guys are by far the WORST on this label, seriously Strange needs to let them go.
Great Debut.......2006-02-05
I was a big fan of Bedlam so I was sad to hear that they weren't together anymore, but Project Deadman exceeded Bedlam, thanks largely to Mike E. Clark. Most of the beats on here are exceptional and Prozak rips it on almost every track. Mike E. Clark even has a solo song called "Time To Go" which reminds me so much of a Lil' Jon song. Tech N9ne, Mc Breed, King Gordy and The Dayton Family all make great guest appearances and "Poison" is a great slow song. Judging from their debut, I'm expecting great music for years to come from Project Deadman.
Monumental.......2005-10-13
This is an album, that like the best of Mike E Clark's work with ICP, will be around for a long while.
It's funny that someone said that PDM is derivative of ICP. In fact, ICP owes its best work to their former producer. I like *some* of Zug-CP's stuff with Mike Puwal, but PDM is not just a return to that great MEC sound, but many steps forward. Every track is distinctive, thanks in part to all the guest vocals, but also in terms of sound. The lyrics are strong and for me, a more powerful and thought-provoking than some reviews imply.
Which brings me to the official-looking "Album Description" you see here. That alone kept me from buying the CD for a long time. Warning--this album is not the inane, wanna-be scary, 12-year-old mentality schlock as described. That album description is just embarassing. That's not the album I heard.
PDM ....... soon to infect the masses!!!.......2004-11-22
What more can a bunch of political, morbid, and all around hardcore take no crap, ruthless soldiers like my crew ask for??!!!! NOTHING!!!!!
The meshing of Metal, Hardcore rap, and that soothing fog of demise that you only feel when you walk through a old cemetery when its foggy during a full moon, will most definatly leave you breathless with nothing to say!!!!
MEC and Prozak have made a monstrous contribution to opening the door to this seemingly condemned, fiery realm that we have come to know as....... HORRORCORE!!!!!! I PROMISE YOU, YOU NEED THIS ALBUM IT IS A MILESTONE!!! (and anybody that disagrees needs thier head checked, and ears cleaned!)

LEather Strip.......2004-03-17
Leather Strip is one of the longest running, and one of the most sucessful Industrial acts to date. Combing heavy and melodramatic sounds it blends to become one of my favorite bands. IF you like Wumpscut,. Front Line Assembly, or Haujobb, check out LEather Strip
self-stagnated.......2001-05-06
When i first listened to this album Leather Strip was defintely my favourite band. I was fond of Larsen's earlier albums and thought 'Legacy of Hate...' and 'Rebirth of Agony' were two of the best 10 electronic albums ever. It was increidble the evolution of that band, which had incorporated new elements, gothic and romantic, to their harsh music... Then 'Self-Inflicted' was released and I was obviously eager to know what he was able to do after the wonderful 'Rebirth...' BUT when I began to listen this work I got more and more disappointed... the first 2 tracks were a back to the roots but without adding anything interesting to me... and the whole album, with some amazing exceptions ('Coming up for air', 'Under my control'), reveals to me a dangerous stagnation compared to their earlier albums. the vocal effects are always the same, very repetitive, the beats are almost identical... it seems as if the, IMO, unfair criticisms on his evolution shown in the previous 2 albums he had decided to forget all about it and return to his roots. I suppose many fans must have loved that... I don't.
Badass Industrial.......2001-02-26
Like i said, this is some badass Industrial music here. This is Claus at his finest, and better than pretty much anything out there. For those not schooled in Leaetherstrip, this guy is quite a lot like :Wumpscut: and Skinny Puppy, but i think he does it even better than Puppy in their prime. Can't say enough good about this guy. Buy it, you'll like.
excellant!!!.......1999-07-01
this has to be claus larsens most balanced work to date. sort of like a mix between underneath the laughter and legacy of hate and lust, claus larsen proves marriage doesnt slow you down ....not at all... and i wouldnt call this "industrial" as did the last reviewer, nor would i compare it to "nine inch nails"....trendy razor is a man in his own arena... leave this one be.
dEFINITELY wORTH tHE mONEY.......1998-09-14
tHIS IS MY FIRST LEAETHER STRIP C.D. AND I KNOW I'LL CONTINUE TO BUY THE OTHERS. iT'S GREAT INDUSTRIAL MUSIC. iF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE REAL THING, LIKE NOT MARILYN MANSON CRAP (JUST HAD TO SLIP THAT IN), THEN CHECK THIS OUT. i THINK IT'S AS GOOD AS nINE iNCH nAILS, MAYBE BETTER.
