    Album Description

Tick... Tock...Tick... Tock... It's the sound of a heart that stopped. Pop, Pop, Pop, a series of shots, and a gangsta went in the ground. He tried to Feel the Sunshine, but all his days turned out gray. Gray as the ground, gray like dead flesh, and gray like the steel of a hot barrel. Still, the streets couldn't stop him, and the ground couldn't keep him. So he came back, with a heart full of horror and a mouth full of murder. He came back and he kept on comin'... Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock... It's the pulse, a beat, bumpin from beneath, comin up through the ground and filling the street. It's the inevitable pulse oftime, flowing from his soul. It's his ammunition. The undead have much, and now he wants control. The beat is felt in every step of his story. The pop of a gun. The drop of a casket. Then the explosion of rebirth, and the invasion in your speakers as his beat comes for you. The Undying defeated death, and he bumps on to his next hit, looking fo a pulse to fill his empty veins. The pulse of time... Clockwork Gray is the fourth solo album from Blaze, and it continues the tale of vengeance and indulgence of a man from beyond. And that's where he continues to go. Beyond death, beyond revenge, beyond hip-hop, beyond sexy, and beyond scary. It's a street story of getting what's his, but knowing there's always more to get. Clockwork Gray goes back in time to the darkness where it started, with heavy hip-hop beats and the realest ruthless rhymes. This Dead Homie is a shadow at your back, but is he there to keep you covered, or cover you with blood? Close your eyes and let the darkness in, but this time the casket may close on you...

    Album Description

This album is the work of a Gangster: not just any gangster mind you, but an unliving, unstoppable, undying power that keeps the very center of his time piece ticking. As seconds, minutes, hours, and days fly by, time remains still for Blaze. A victim of gang violent, turned rotted corpse with his mind on avenging his own death through total annihilation of those who had a hand in robbing him of his once mortal life. His rage and anger echoes from the speakers like a blast of a sawed-off shotgun at close range leaving all who hear it riddled with shell shock. Physicians and scientists alike are baffled at the very idea of this walking, animated dead man, and although there is no information to back it up, officials believe that the center of his re-animation is brough about by the blood-soaked and bullet-vented clock he was buried with. His recordings have also been somewhat of a mystery as well, drying up in record stores across the nation, and becoming completely out of print unitl now with the release of this essential collection of Blaze's early years in musical madness. Join the Dead Man himself as we turn back the hands of the clock and take a closer look through time at how the legacy of this immortal G all began.

    5 out of 5 stars Blaze.......2007-02-25

There's no possible way I could ever give this album any less than 5 stars. "1 Less G In Da Hood" was practically the soundtrack to my senior year of high school. I remember seeing Blaze live at the "Hatchet Rising Tour." All of these memories are amongst some of the greatest I've ever had. Now onto the music! The album begins with the same intro to Blaze's first EP and contains every song off of the EP minus "S*** Talkers." I used to have that EP so I knew most of the jams anyways. Blaze's voice in unmatchable. If you're into gangsta rap, this is some of the finest you can find. Now onto "1 Less G...." The original version had Jumpsteady as a preacher talking about how great it was that Blaze has died, yada-yada-yada, that's not on here. Instead it kicks straight into "Grave Aint No Place." I was glad to hear that ABK's verse was still here. I know there have been some problems with ABK and Psychopathic, so it's good to hear that they didn't delete them or anything. The only songs missing from "1 Less G..." on this version are the intro, "Str8 Outta Detriot" (an ode to NWA's "Straight Outta Compton"), and "Hatchet Execution". Why they didn't include those tracks is beyond me. I really wish they would have considering the fact that the original version of this album is so hard to find and mine is all scratched up. Next you get 3 new tracks, which are all great. All in all, this is a great release if you no longer own Blaze's first two cds or if you're like me and were unable to take care of the originals. I just wish they wouldn't have taken out any tracks. Highly recommended!

    5 out of 5 stars Juggalos--BUY THIS........2007-01-25

Okay, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, also known as Colton Grundy, The Undying. Blaze jumped on Psychopathic as a friend of Twiztid, bringing with him longtime homie ABK as well. From the beginning, most juggalos were at a loss as how much we liked Blaze. There were about 50% that hated him, and another 50% that thought he was fresh. The main thing about Blaze is that his style is not really horrorcore rap in any traditional sense--more like old-school Gangsta rap with a horrorcore twist (the twist being that he presents himself as a man gunned down in a gang shooting 11 years prior, and is now back to his old evil ways, but as an undead, immortal).
If you ask me, that's pretty damn original. That, and the fact that this guy can flow like the river runs, is enough to make me a Blaze juggalo.
But one thing you have to know is that pretty much every song on the album has either the same, or similar, lyrics. But that is THE POINT. Understand that, or you won't like Blaze.
This album is the original Blaze debut EP and his first LP combined, with some of the more pointless tracks removed, and three very fresh new ones added. There are too many tracks on this album to review every one, but the highlights are "Real G S***", "I Go To Work", "Grave Ain't No Place", "Casket", "Juggalo Anthem (AWESOME track)", "Nasty (Hilarious, and very disgusting)", "Hood Rats", "Maggot Face", "Momma I Ain't Changed", and "Garbage". Any juggalo that passed on buying the original EP and LP while they were still in print should pick this up.

5 out of 5 stars Rereleased From the Casket.......2006-07-01

Blaze Ya Dead Homie is dead. If you ain't figured that out, he's a thug who was gunned down 11 years back and now has been resurrected to run with the Hatchet.

For y'all who can't stand that type of creativity, then just do what the title of Shaggy 2 Dope's LP says. For y'all juggalos who can feel this, it's a classic. Basically the original 1 Less G in the Hood, along with the self titled EP, are like impossible to find. They're sold on EBay for like 100 bucks a pop.

So it was only right that Blaze rerelease them as one album. The early Blaze classics are all here (except for a couple). "Casket", "Nasty", "Grave Ain't No Place", and "Juggalo Anthem" are all on here along with other cuts and 3 new songs.

The three new ones are "Look Out"(featuring Lavel), "Mama I Ain't Changed", and "Garbage". The last one is far from its title and is actually pretty fresh. "Look Out" was featured in the video game 25 TO LIFE and "Mama I Ain't Changed" is about Blaze's relationship with his moms. The only thing I wished they could have done different on this album is put Blaze's version of "Dead Body Man" on here. I ain't seen it on any CD's yet and it'd be fresh if it could be.

Other then that though, this was another fresh release from Psychopathic Records and everyone's favorite dead homie, Blaze.

    The Triumphant Return of Blaze

Fresh out of the graveyard and back in the streets, Blaze returns with the long-anticipated new record "Colton Grundy". Ya Dead Homie's got a new grudge, and he's tellin' it as never before. Throughly disturbed and uniquely possessed, his horror-rap lyrics bring the thug life into your favorite slasher flick, straight out the mouth of one who can flow with the best.

    3 out of 5 stars Shotgun! Shotgun!.......2007-05-18

Blaze's sophomore effort wasn't as mindblowing as 1 Less G, and while some think the typical new age metal/rape fusion found on that album didn't match Blaze's style, I think it works to great effect, but only once. It's fresh to hear Blaze do what he wants, and that's hardcore rap with the expected Psychopathic twist. The opening Bump This Shhh is cool as is, Touch Of Death, but the album really takes off with the classic Shotgun featuring Madrox and ESham. Hey You is the sex song found here and it's pretty good. The album flows pretty nicely, If I Fall, Roll It Up, 2 Many B*tches, and Time Line. Overall, there aren't too many memorable songs that stand as individuals, it's more of an album you play casually, not as good as ABK's stuff or 1 Less G, but much better than The Calm or AMB. Defeintly check it out.

    4 out of 5 stars The Dead G Arises.......2006-06-18

There's been a lot of hate going on about Blaze. Some like to diss cuz he's white, yet claims to be a dead G from the hood. Others just think he sucks.

First off, Blaze Ya Dead Homie is a character. So he's white and says he's from the hood? How bout this one idiots. He's alive but says he's a rapping zombie. It's a personality not reality.

Now "Colton Grundy" is only an alright album. If you wanna hear some really really fresh material, pick up the rerelease of 1 Less G In The Hood. "Colton Grundy" is still a good album but a lot of songs do fall short.

First off it isn't very long. A lot of songs are only 1 or 2 minutes long, which brings down the CD a bit. But there are some really really tight songs on here. "Touch of Death" has an ill sing along hook and is basically about Blaze being dead and all that. "Shotgun" has a really thugged out hook from Jamie Madrox and features ABK and Esham on verses. It doesn't take a genius to wonder what the songs about either. "Stick Ya Hands Up" features Blaze and ABK rappin about the hardships in the hood. "Further From Truth" is talkin bout what it's like being dead. "Dayz N My Neighborhood" tells about Blaze's sadness that the days of the o.g.'s are over and has been glossed over by snitches and that other one that starts with B lol. "Roll It Up" is a story song worthy of Snoop Dogg/Cypress Hill praise. "Mr. Deadfolx" has to be my favorite song. Blaze, alongside Violent J, spit the most lyrical raps of the whole album. "2 Many B***hes" features MC Breed and ABK(who happens to spit a really really fresh verse). "Timeline" and "Climbing" end the album perfectly, the latter being about the ladder you have to climb to get to the afterlife.

The tracks not mentioned are ones I wasn't feeling. Blaze sounded a lot more thugged out in the 1 Less G days but he still sounds fresh on here and there are definitely good songs. Check it out.

5 out of 5 stars Worth the wait.......2006-02-02

In my opnion, this is the best album to come out from Psychopathic since Mostasteless. Mike P. had nothing to do with this album, which explains why every beat on every song is banging. You could tell Blaze had more fun making this album than he did with One Less G In Da Hood, because for this one he did the music that he likes. Guitars are almost totally absent from this album, which in my opnion is a big plus. Best songs are Stick Ya Hands Up, Roll It Up and Mr. Dead Folx. Pick it up if you're into some dead ass G rap.

    1 out of 5 stars ROTEN.......2006-01-09

This is by far one sure fire way to ditiguish your self away from the culture you were born as. i recently found this cd for a friend who wanted it. after hearing it and looking up who this dead guy was i found he is actualy white! he claims to be a dead "g" from the 90's era of black gang rap but falls just short. instead of being hard core he ends up just sounding hard up, for talent that is. come on white guys rolln round tha hood shootn shotgunz, wtf?
as far a music goes this cd seems to have all the ingredients of a beat machine. i guess he (blaze) doesnt actualy play an instument. i guess that this is why you dont see these people on tv or hear them on the radio or even in other peoples cars for that matter.

if one word would describe this cd it would have to be "ignorant."

    4 out of 5 stars Not bad.......2005-05-14

This cd I thought was pretty good. Blaze has some lines that are meaningful but I think he would fit in perfectly rapping to the beats that are fast pacing because I have heard him in some tracks that had the fast pacing beat and he seemed to be able to master it. This cd did have some ups and downs but there were far more ups than there was downs in this one.

    1. Bump this Shh-4/5 good start off to the album. Blaze informs that you like what you like and if you never were really interested in his stuff then don't bother.

    2. Touch of Death-10/5 Here we go. The fast pacing beat and Blaze masters it. I could listen to this one song 5 or 6 times in a row and never get tired of it.

    3. Shotgun-5/5 Awesome track. The chorus was catchy and ABK did a pretty good job and so did Esham. I hear this song will be on some game that's coming out in the future.

    4. Etched out in Chalk-6/5 Another really good track. Blaze does it again. Chorus is Awesome.

    5. If I fall-3/5 Not really good but not that bad. Blaze did a decent job and tha Shadow did an alright job. If Madrox wasn't in this song it would be fine. Sorry but I don't think Madrox is all that great of a rapper. Anyway it's still ok.

    6. Hey you-4/5 Pretty good. Blaze did a really good job lyrically in the verses but the chorus wasn't any good. The reason I gave it a four is because Blaze's rhymes were just that good.

    7. Out tha gate-4/5 same as track 6

    8. stick yo hands up-6/5 Really good. Blaze was awesome in this one and ABK was alright (ABK doesn't really catch my attention lyrically at all really) The Chorus was great seeing that apparently Violent J was part of it along with Blaze.

    9. Further From Truth-2/5 Don't like it that much. Blaze's lyrics were decent but the beat was just too boring and the chorus wasn't really all that great neither.

    10. dayz of my neighborhood-3/5 Lyrics were good. Love the meaning to it but again the beat needs to speed up a little bit for it to be perfect but other than that, not bad.

    11. Bump it up-7/5 Perfect track. Fast pacing, Really good lyrics and Chorus was really good. More like party music but the lyrics were just too good to not mention about this song.

    12. Mr. Dead Folx-6/5 Love this track. Pure gangsta stuff right here. Blaze and J got it locked down in this one. Lyrics, gangsta beat, and chorus were all mastered.

    13. 2 many B*tches-4.5/5 This was a HUGE upgrade for ABK. I know I said he really didn't catch my attention lyrically but in this song he was outstanding. The chorus was also catchy but man ABK did a really good job. Blaze was alright but it seemed like he didn't try that hard in this one.

    14. Timeline-10/5 Tied for first as my favorite. This was really good lyrically and the chorus was greatness. Great job lyrically by Blaze.

    15. Climbing-8/5 This was a really good song starting off with Blaze and then Great lyrics by Esham(smooth as wine his rhymes are) the chorus was pretty good with everyone in this song joining in on it. Madrox and Monoxide are not all that great in my opinion but that's ok because J was up next and he did his thing(good as usual) and Blaze finished it off with what he had to say. Other Than Twiztid this song was great.

Ok so there you have it. I think that Blaze should come out with another album with quicker beats. No doubt that most of these songs were really good but I think that he should have Esham and Violent J on even more tracks or be by himself because he seems to do way better. He proved to me that he has great lyrical skills and he's still got years to go seeing he only made but one or so albums. Anyway I liked what I heard and can almost guarantee I'll like the stuff he'll put out in the future seeing that all he's going to do is get better.

5 out of 5 stars The grave ain't no place for a psycho................2006-03-06

Man I love this album. Great beats, good bass, dope lyrics, and now it's out of print! Fear not it will be rereleased within the year. Despite the fact that blaze has Jaime Madrox write his lyrics thats no gd reason to hate. This is one of the best things to ever come out of Psychopathic. Be sure to listen to the hidden skit at the end of the cd.

    3 out of 5 stars Could've been better............2006-02-03

I'm a fan of Blaze, but I believe this cd just isn't his best effort. Almost all of the beats are rock influenced, which doesn't mesh with Blaze's style of rap. This cd does have it's bright spots, such as "Casket" and "Juggalo Anthem" but overall, it's only medicore. If you've never heard of Blaze before, I suggest picking up Colton Grundy Tha Undying, because it is much better. Blaze is suppossed to be re-releasing this album sometime in 2006, and I expect the new version to be an improvment over the original.

4 out of 5 stars Prretty good, but short.......2006-02-03

This is a nice introduction for Blaze to the Juggalo world. All of the beats are done by Monoxide of Twiztid, and his production skills shine on this one. ICP and Twiztid both make a guest appearance on the last track "Shiktalkaz" which is a diss towards Eminem. The quality of this cd is excellent, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's only 6 songs. This cd is pretty hard to come by nowadays, and it makes a great edition to the collection.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best Blaze albums.......2005-03-21

this is a great lil ep from beginning to end. pick it up while you can. www.hatchetgear.com has it

    1. This album starts out with a great intro, Back From The Dead, which just sets you up for the album GREAT. 10/10

    2. The next song, Real G Sh*t, would be much better if it was longer its only 51 seconds long but still has a good flow on it 7/10
    3. In Case You Forgot is another short song but MUCH longer than the last. being 2 1/2 minutes long. Great lyrics on this song and love the beat. Madrox does the chorus which is kinda laid back but not bad. The whole song is somewhat slow but catchy. 8/10

    4. I love this song Blaze's voice is dope as hell on this song and the lyrics are nice too. Once again a fresh beat makin this song, I Go To Work, a Blaze classic in my opinion. 10/10

    5. Put It Down is great making this and I Go To Work by far the best tracks on the album. This is also a classic (more so in others opinions than I Go To Work) nice beat catchy lyrics. The chorus is kind of simple but still nice. 10/10

    6. Sh*ttalkaz is a good song but i think the beat isnt as good as the rest. Sounds much more like a Twiztid beat that could of been used on Freekshow then a beat for this album. But of course Twiztid puts it down on this song like they always do. ICP does a nice verse but J had to edit some so people wouldnt think that he was dissin 2 Pac which is too bad cause it pretty much f*cks up his verse. 8/10

Overall i give it a 9/10. You should definitely go to www.hatchetgear.com and pick this album up. I enjoyed it and if you like Blaze you will too.

    5 out of 5 stars Excellent.......2004-09-15

Being as short of a CD as it is I absolutely loved it. I thought the beats were great and far from boring. As far as I'm concerned, Blaze AKA Colton Grundy is an asset to Psychopathic Records.

4 out of 5 stars Quality Fxcking EP!.......2004-08-15

Prior to buying this CD off a friend at the 2004 Gathering of the Juggalos, I only owned Blaze's One Less G album. Although I felt One Less G had its moments, it had a great deal of filler and seemed a bit watered down. To me, Blaze's original release is Blaze at his best with little influence from ICP, mainly Violent J. There's not one bad track on here. Blaze drops straight up gangsta rap on here, with lyrics about drug dealing and violence. Blaze seems to have had a lot of fun making this album because it shows. The guest appearances by Twiztid and ICP are astounding. This may only be 6 songs but, as they say, quality over quantity. This EP is pure quality that you'll listen to time after time.

5 out of 5 stars the best of psychopathic.......2004-12-17

This is my favorite non-icp Psychopathic album of all time. Every single song off of this album just left me in pure amazement. The music changes so much. Each song has its own style. I highly reccommend everybody who has never heard Blaze to pick this cd up before buying the slightly disappointing Colton Grundy.

    2 out of 5 stars Crap.......2004-09-27

the grave aint no place for a psycho thug killer, neither is my cd player. This guy makes a gimmick of being gangster rap, but with thrashing guitars hes not fooling anybody. He's got nice flow but his voice is terrible, you can barely understand the guy, he sounds like hes rapping with a mouth full of food or something. Every track has a rock chorus taking away from the "gangsta" image. every single track either has Violent J or Madrox in it. which makes it even worst. with an exeption of 2 or 3 tracks, this cd is weak.

5 out of 5 stars Only for true hatchet warriors.......2004-09-07

This CD is one of the best to come out of psychopathics ever
because it has meaning, heart, soul, and it brings the wicked like no other. The dead man is the true dead killa, no otha wicked hoe like him and if you read this review, I strongly advise you, stay true to what I'm sayin, bump this noise and drink yo faygo and kick it til the end wit ya JUGGALOS!
KEEP IT REAL... REAL WICKED NINJA

5 out of 5 stars Blaze Delivers On Full Length LP.......2003-10-21

When I first heard Blaze's EP it had me wanting more and anticipating his full length. And Blaze didn't come short on his full length. Track after track it's packed with Psychopathic gangsta rhymes & phenomenal production. Only how Psychopathic can bring it. If you're a Juggalo you shouldn't even hesitate to pick this CD up. Twiztid, Insane Clown Posse, Anybody Killa all make thier mark on this album aswell. SOLID album! One of my favorites from the Psychopathic catalog. Next up... Colton Grundy.

    4 out of 5 stars Good Stuff.......2002-01-07

This CD is excellent! If you like Twiztid, ICP, and Wolfpack you'll like this too. It's the first time I've heard gangster rap mix in guitars and still sound like it fits. Every single song on here is great and entertaining, with guest appearances by ICP, Twiztid, and Anybody Killa. My favorite song on here is probably Juggalo Anthem.
