Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Jus Allah's Lyrics Are ILL AS HE#L.......2006-11-14

The only reason I gave the album 4 stars is because of the production. The beats and music are inconsistent and does not match Jus' style very well. He really needs to go back to JMT (and STOUPE) or he needs to find a producer that will do his lyrical genius justice because that is what his lyrics are...genius, and that is what I give 5 stars to. Never have I heard lyrical flows soo dark and beautiful. Not just from this album but also from JMT's Violent By Design. This kid is really good. For example (from the VBD album by JMT):

"Jus Allah preys on the minds of the young
Silencing the Devil that speaks with forked tongue.
Taste my blade's sharpness
Make you no-class like Marxist
The heartless - rise out of darkness.
I'm the last head you should ever try to f### with
Be the next member in the cast of my snuffed victs (victims).
Rough sh##, don't even attempt sleepin
At war with the demons that live in infernal regions
Spawned from eternal semen; bred fleshed predator
Wings of the arm on your heels like Pegasus
Grabbing your leg so you'd live with the heaven-less
Drop this prejudice and follow me to Exodus.
-----END--------

OR from this album the track called "Important Shi#":

"Who the F### dranked my blood
I have to write my name on my jug
It's the only thing I crave when I wanna unplug
I'ma bout to fu##in bug hand me a Dutch
If I would've known I had to kill again today I would've skip lunch
We tossin' down blood like the shi#s punch
I'm pi$$ drunk
I wanna drink more
Take the car with the big trunk
Lord Jamal and Agathar: we sick fu##s
We eat until there's nothin left to scoop up
It aint a graveyard we can't spruce up
We need a fu##in bigger space in two months
Filled with muthafu##ers that you knew once
I wouldn't advise fu##in around
It wouldn't be wise
But how would you know
You never read the book in your lives
You fool, everyday it's like I have to destroy
It's cool I get paid doin what I enjoy
It's nothing; more that comes, the more that dies
I need more; good souls come in short supply
--------------END---------------------------

On a side-note, if you look at the lyrics from several sites you will find that most of them (from what I have searched "all of them") do not know what Jus is saying. For example most of them say "Jus Allah 'prays' on the mind of the young". The word "PRAYS" is ridiculous and does not make sense. The word is "PREYS" like a predator.

Anyway, buy this album and if you are a person who loves lyrical genius you will not be dissapointed.

4 out of 5 stars real underground Hip Hop.......2006-09-28

This is a real underground hh album with Jus Allah; very dark atmosphere !
The best album from Jus Allah is 'the Devil's Reject'album with Bomshot(The n°1 for me!); this is new underground Hip Hop style !!!!!!

2 out of 5 stars dont waste your money.......2006-04-24

i was expecting much more from jus allah, coming from jedi mind tricks and all, and i guess that may be one of the reasons why im so disappointed with this album. there are only about 2-3 songs i like to listen to, and a couple others i can stand, but most of this album is worthy of skipping over. i believe that jus allah simply cant hold down his own album without the talent of jmt around him. if you wanna see allah shine, buy jmt's violent by design or if youre looking for some solid hip hop, check out army of the pharoahs, a side project including vinnie paz, planetary, reef the lost cauze, esoteric and 7L, des devious, apathy, and other greats. do not spend money on this album.

3 out of 5 stars How about some decent production!!??.......2005-12-10

Jus Allah is perhaps one of the most unique MC's to emerge in the last decade, coupling a *twist* on Islam ideology with a fantastic, (and rarely heard elsewhere), cynicism towards mankind.
I do not think his lyrics have degraded over the years, in fact, they may have gotten stronger.
("I have sublime comprehension-
Devine intervention-
My enzyme studied by the minds at Princeton-")-Chess King
("Life is a test-Islam is the strategy-
The father of reality-
Mom of the galaxy-
All y'all asking for a taste of immaculate grace-
have to wait-
the GOD doesn't practice in haste-")-G-O-D
The low points of the album are fairly obvious....the production for one. Agallah just doesn't have the heavy-heart pulsing beats that need to back up Jus Allah. Instead, they are flat, twangy, something you may hear from any lousy, independent MC scattered around the country. Molemen complement Jus Allah well, but in "All Fates Have Changed", are rarely heard.
Also, the guests are average to sub par-especially rhyming aside Jus Allah.
Overall, the album is still good...strong tracks include "Chess King", "G-O-D", and "Porno Flick Bitches". Highly recommended for the lyrical insight...nothing more.

4 out of 5 stars There's a Ying & a Yang to this album..........2005-09-21

YING -- insane lyrical content & delivery
YANG -- the occasional recycled verse

YING -- really dark 'omnipotent' production
YANG -- Agallah's inconsistent production, NO STOUPE

YING -- some golden obscure material
YANG -- that same material was released dating 4 years ago...

YING -- an above average album
YANG -- yet has some obvious problems

'Violent By Design' was like listening to 36 Chambers for the first time again. Jedi Mind Tricks introduced us to violent, menacing, atmospheric, islamic philosophy accompanied by probably one of the greatest producers ever, Stoupe.... Violent By Design also introduced us to New Jersey-born rapper, Jus Allah...

Jus Allah became infamous shortly after departing Jedi Mind Tricks by becoming the male-equivalent of Lauren Hill. His biased five-percenter influenced attitude hurt his career more than it helped. 'White Nightmare', 'Reign of the Lord', and 'Divide & Conquer' were released during the height of anti-Jus Allahism and as a WHITE person who loves hiphop, I enjoyed all three of those tracks. Musically his 5%er viewpoints are harmless, in fact playful at times... Later on it was revealed to be a little bit of a gimmick to help him sell, and Jus Allah apologized in an interview...

All Fates Have Changed is a clashing combination of new (BABYGRANDE) material with older & slightly doper (OMNIPOTENT) material. Jus Allah was with Omnipotent Records for 3 years and his album kept getting pushed back. All the non-Agallah tracks are from this era. Agallah's tracks range from being crazy hype to incredibly annoying repetative synthesized crap... Some of the newer tracks on this album seemed to look like Jus and Agallah rushed through them in order to finish on time...

Even the guest spots fluctuated from being great and refreshing to slightly annoying...

OVERALL --- i'm happy to see that Jus Allah finally got his material to be released, but he also had 4 YEARS to create 'mostly' BRAND NEW material... I'm looking forward towards his contributions on 'TORTURE PAPERS' and JMT's next album...
