1 out of 5 stars As bad as the food its name is derived from.......2006-06-20

Black Eyed Peas have been making a name for themselves by selling to the non-intellectuals, with dumbed down lyrics, lame beats, and annoying vocals. Only in America is this the formula for certain success. Just when you thought that no band could cause an aneurysm more than Gwen Stefani, it looks like Black Eyed Peas has become number one.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best songs of 2004.......2004-07-13

I didn't like this song when I first heard it. However, the more I listened to it, the more I saw that it was a really great song. The beats on this song are excellent, and it is a great showcase for the newest member of the group, Fergie. Her "off the Richter" part of the song is one of the best hooks on any single this year. I get it stuck in my head all the time and I never complain because it is one of my favorite songs. It's no wonder this song was such a big hit.

If you don't want to pay this much money for a single, I think this version of "Hey Mama" will be on the upcoming Now CD (15? 16? It's hard to keep track). Whichever one you buy, either way you will be getting the version of "Hey Mama" you love, so you can't lose.

5 out of 5 stars Hey mamma.......2004-07-11

the only bad thing about this is that you have to buy a whole nother cd to get the better version of hey mamma. This version is 10 times better the the original.

2 out of 5 stars It sounds quite alright except..........2004-07-04

It sounds A LOT like a rehash of "Get Busy" by Sean Paul. It might be just me though... otherwise it's an alright song. One thing I find strange is the woman in the Black Eyed Peas seems to have a Rastafarian accent when she sings in this one... she had no accent in their other singles on this CD! Is she faking it or what?... Anyway, it's an okay song, pretty good dance joint, but I find myself enjoying their newest single "Let's Get it Started" a litte bit more.

5 out of 5 stars Hey Mama all night long!!!!.......2004-05-08

Hey Mama 2 is the best single ever!!! I listen to it 24/7! The edited version is awesome and so is the video one! Even though it's expensive for a single it is very good. The versions are all great as well.
