Product Description
After the widely successful independent release of last year's double disc compilation set "It's the Bootleg, Muthaf--kas Vol. 1", Apathy returns with his latest CD of all new material - "Where's Your Album?!!", an unofficial album/mixtape release with a title that humorously addresses the anticipation of his official major label debut on Atlantic Records due late next year. This CD contains 22 brand new tracks, including full original produced songs plus a few exclusive freestyles & remakes utilizing classic golden era instrumentals, some of which are unreleased and have never been used before (Nas' "Represent" & Jeru the Damaja's "Da Bichez"), as well as rock-influenced instrumentals from the White Stripes ("Seven Nation Army"). The rest of the disc is original production, handled by mainly by Apathy himself but heavyweights such as Kanye West & DJ Khalil also contribute. The buzz talk has already begun for the release, as the track listing and artwork has been displayed at demigodz.com to feed the patiently waiting. This is a professionally manufactured & shrink-wrapped full color CD with a folded booklet and double-sided tray card in clear plastic, along with original sketched artwork.

2 out of 5 stars NOT AT ALL WHAT I EXPECTED!.......2007-08-01

After purchasing his 2006 release i was hooked...that was my first time hearing a white guy come that hard/thoughtful, and it made me purchase every single CD from APAHY. Although this is true...this was weak next to Eastern Philosophy, I mean real weak. I listen to it and in every songs his mentions pus**, Hoes, and getting his d*ck sucked. He had more opened mind on Eastern Philosophy. I must admit there are some tracks that were pretty good....but this could have been way better. If you ask me, Dont buy it buy Eastern Philosophy!

3 out of 5 stars It's okay...... no not really.......2007-07-03

I gave it 3 stars instead of 1 because its Apathy. He got a pass. I wanted to like this cd I really really did but I don't. I listen to it and I skip and skip and skip. He stole a few beats and those songs are okay if he didn't steal the beats. I like Apathy from when I first heard him and Sage Francis freestyling but not this stuff I am hearing on this cd. He has some good tracks on other cds but not on this cd. There are plenty of tracks that he and Celph Titled and the Demigods go off on...no doubt but I have come to the conclusion that he is one of many cameo assasins. On other people cds or tracks he is a killer. BUT this cd by himself its really not too much to talk about. I don't care about how much heat I get for not liking this cd. Get over it. I like Ap but I don't like this cd.

5 out of 5 stars London Boggs is an idiot........2007-01-03

This c.d. is a mixtape, not an album, which is perhaps why it's titled "Where's Your Album?!!" Learn about your MC's before you make stupid comments. This MIXTAPE is dope as hell, and Ap rips every track and has incredible collabo's with both his Demigodz crew and the Demigodz family (Majik Most, Emilio Lopez, etc.)

2 out of 5 stars More of a Mixtape.........2006-03-19

Apathy's presence on the mic is one you won't forget but this particular album is. More of a mixtape and Apathy compilation- there really isnt anything that sticks out. More lows than highs. I will give his new album 'Eastern Philosophy' a good listen but this album is a throw away. Makes me wonder...Is Apathy just a good cameo rapper?

5 out of 5 stars WOW!!!!!! THIS IS REAL HIPHOP.......2005-12-29

4 out of 5 stars Johnny Guitar.......2005-07-08

This is the first record of Johnny Winter that I heard. I watched his albums in stores but never listened to them. Then one of my friends gave it to me. I'm more fan of George Thorogood. But it is strange that when I put the cd in I can't take it out. There are few cathcy tunes, like the opener Johnny Guitar, She Likes to Boogie Real Low,...The cover of a christmas song Please Come Home for Christmas, that his duetting with his brother is kinda funny, but it's a good song anyway.

4 out of 5 stars A mixed bag but worth the investment........2004-08-18

Yes, I agree with Mr. Jensens review. This one is a mixture. Johnny & Edgar do a duet on 'Please Come Home For Christmas', and strangely enough, Bon Jovi also did the same song almost simultaneously and released it as a single at the end of that same year. Of course, Johnny & Edgar Winter had been doing this song together probably since they were 10 yrs old since there are earlier versions available of them singing it. Definitely a nod in the direction of Charles Brown. Johnnys version of T. Bone Walkers "Hard Way' is barnstorming.
There are some points where Johnny appears to be going through the motions, but then he makes up for it with the dynamic slow blues 'You keep sayin'that you are leavin''- what a gem! The lyrics are so true to life and humourous.. the guitar work is blistering.
'Check out her mama' is another high point. You wouldn't be disappointed when buying this one and it's one of the last occasions where you hear JW at full throttle*. It was almost a continuation of Johnnys former c.d. 'Let Me In', and he did really well in keeping the same feel.
**Johnnys next CD would be years later " Live In New York" on which he sounds heavily medicated and a shadow of his former self.

5 out of 5 stars So fine.......2003-01-19

They don't call him "Johnny Guitar" for nothing. Really tasty guitar work, really nicely recorded. I also recommend "Nothing But the Blues", but this might be an even better disk.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous Blues, Boogie Woogie and Roadhouse Rock.......2000-11-15

Outstanding disc full of blues and rockin' music. Perfect CD for driving. This will quickly get your heart pounding and your foot stomping. Wonderful mix of tunes and the usual awesome guitar playing of Johnny. Not a bad tune on the CD.

5 out of 5 stars WINTER RULES!!!.......1999-10-17

I LOVE THIS DUDE!!!! MY FAVORITE OF THE WINTER CATALOG & I LOVE THEM ALL!! HIGHLIGHTS FOR ME ARE WHITE LINE BLUES & CHECK OUT HER MAMA. A MUST FOR FANS OF GREAT BLUES ROCK GUITAR!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Splendid voices ... and every word understood........2001-03-15

Dutton releases continue to win high praise. The authors of a guide to CDs wrote recently, "Almost everything (Mike Dutton) processes seems to turn to gold and the results are sometimes little short of miraculous".

Beautifully processed here is a collections of English songs with piano accompaniment recorded by an array of singers, seven English and one Australian, between 1928 and 1954. The text of eight of them are by Shakespeare. All Butterworth's settings of A E Housman's "A Shropshire Lad" poems are here. It was from strands of the first of these songs, "Loveliest of Trees" that Butterworth wove his orchestral rhapsody "A Shropshire Lad".

There are some splendid voices here, and every word is understood. There is Astra Desmond's contralto, with its dark colouring but bright patina, the fulsome richness of John Heddle Nash's baritone, some mellifluous singing from Richard Lewis, John Cameron's manly baritone, Gwen Catley's unmistakable timbre, Alfred Piccaver in 1928 but clear and easily recognised, and the north of England's vocal quality represented by Walter Midgley and Owen Brannigan.

Whether you're an Anglophile, a remastering enthusiast, or a collector of good voices, you'll get excellent value from this 75 minute CD.
