"From Start To Finish".....the name says it all!!.......2006-05-14
This is a GREAT! album. I have known of Haystak since 1998 and have bought everything he has released. He is definitely a diamond in the rough. He signed with Def Jam but nothing came out of it. If Haystak was to have a major label behind him and the album was promoted right I believe Haystak could be a huge star. He has the voice, lyrics and personality/attitude on the mic that makes him one of the most talented and unique rappers of all time...a stretch you think?...I don't. If you listen to him, he makes you feel every word he says and has great lyrics. Anyways..."From Start To Finish" is Haystak's 6th solo album and is pretty dang good for a big ole whiteboy from Tennessee. Go Get It!!
I love Haystak.......2006-01-06
My whole family loves Haystak's music. He always says he hopes he helps kids through his songs quote"They go to school and hurt somebody Im gone feel responsible"Well we can relate to almost everyone of his songs My oldest brother and I dedicate #14 on from start to finish to our other brother Cain thats locked up.We used to live in Tennessee thats how we were introduced to the music, and its by far the best I've ever heard.i also love the DVD I watch it about once a month.I show it to everyone I meet.I have everyone of his cd's and I love them all.But he could've done better on 360.~Hayley~
Crakavelli tha Boss Deliver's some more A+ poison !.......2005-11-03
"FROM START TO FINISH" Part 2 of the WHITE BOY TRILOGY is just another hip-hop masterpiece from one of the most venomous MC's in the rap game! If you love the gutts & bolts of true street hip-hop & lyricism then get this album or any other "haystak" album for that matter. Also the dvd is quite a treat! Its pretty indepth & informative, its nice to get a better insight on this seemingly un-known artist. Great album & great package!
klassic music everytime.......2005-09-30
for this man to have put out all these albums you would think he would have fell off...BUT THIS IS NOT YOUR REGULAR RAPPER....he speaks str8 from the heart you can feel his realness as he spits every verse...this is the eminem of the south and he could go toe to toe with em...and both have there own style.....I have every album stak has released and cant wait for the next album ....KEEP IT UP STAK....
From Start 2 Finish.......2005-09-18
Haystak, the CWB from Tennessee, comes back with a raw, more gangsta sounding album. Songs like "Kick They Back In" and "Bang Bang" may surprise some Stak listeners because they are more about being a gangsta than being a white boy. Of course, there are a few classics on this album like "I Ain't No Pin Up", "All By Myself", "Be Strong" and "Middle of Nowhere". Most of the songs are great, and with songs like "Big A** Whiteboy" and "Whiteboy" you will know that Stak still hasnt lost his CWB persona. Overall, It's a great album and I suggest you get it ASAP!

Amazing..........2004-11-21
While listening to Campaign Moving Slow, you can't help but think Thursday and Sunny Day Real Estate have been fused together to bring you We.re All Broken. This band is absolutely incredible. With beautiful chord blending, the infectious Baltimore won't be able to leave your head. If you haven't already, go see them live because their energy is simply amazing.

Turn on your Stereo.......2004-07-08
Having followed We're All Broken for several years, this disc arrives much anticipated. Though I did have pretty high expectations for a record that is the culmination of years of playing and writing together, I could never have expected the breadth of what they have achieved. Every song is filled with unexpected surprises and the little intricacies that reward repeated, focused listening, while immediate listens are equally enjoyable due to the energy and passion these guys bring to the table. This is not a rock record to listen to once and toss in the pile. But it is a ROCK record...to be played loud. From the opening track to the last, We're All Broken take the listener on a journey through heavy excursions, beautiful melodies, ambiguous lyrics that still mean something(to those who like to use their imaginations every now and then) and ambient and electronic textures that create a cohesive album that doesn't sound like one long song, but a unit as great or greater than the sum of its parts. Albums like these are hard to come by from any band, and for a debut record to be as strong as this, the future of We're All Broken is something to get very excited about. Start paying attention.

Yet another great CD..........2005-02-07
Can Andy Logan do any wrong? He first scored as the lead singer/songwriter for Little America (remember "Walk On Fire") and has continued to make great music in a sorta alt-country vein ever since. If you're a fan of good American rock (Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Steve Earle) then check this out! You won't be sorry!

Album Description
It's been said that Memphis is mentioned in more song titles than any other city. On In The Mood For Memphis you'll hear a diverse musical testimonial from some of Memphis' most dynamic voices. For the first time ever, a CD has been compiled celebrating the rock and blues Mecca of the world with 16 songs, each with Memphis in the title. From the mainstream "Walking In Memphis" performed by Eddie Harrison to the underground sounds of Mud Boy & the Neutrons' "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again," In The Mood For Memphis is filled with soul-pleasing, groove-controlling, guaranteed satisfaction.
Powerful and charismatic singers Gary Johns and Susan Marshall each perform different versions of the title track. Don McMinn's funky "Memphis In May" sets the mood for an exquisite rendition of "Memphis In June" by jazz diva Joyce Cobb. With Delbert McClinton on harmonica, Dan Penn's "Memphis Women and Chicken" is smooth, Southern and irresistible. You'll also hear Holly Shelton's sultry interpretation of W.C. Handy's "Memphis Blues" (followed by a haunting instrumental with The W.C. Handy Preservation Band). Songwriter Bob Cheevers adds his irresistible "Memphis Till Monday" exclaiming the virtues of good ole Memphis barbecue and fun. Gusto jumps in with a lively version of Lyle Lovett's "I've Been To Memphis." Other highlights include Daddy Mack Orr and Billy Gibson on the Chuck Berry/Johnny Rivers classic "Memphis," the soulful sounds of the Memphis All-Stars on their feel-good original "Lovely Memphis Day," and The McCarty-Hite Project's "Memphis Town." Cult rockers The Delta Queens include their raw, but fiercely independent "Memphis (Highway 72)," as the almost final track.
Patrick Dodd concludes the CD in a reflective tone with "Memphis Keeps Rolling On," a gospel-tinged pop ballad that examines the struggles and triumphs of Memphis and its legacy.
Since 1992, Inside Sounds has focused on producing the best of Memphis, from blues to alternative rock, and is the parent company of the critically acclaimed Memphis Archives label.

Memphis moods.......2004-02-18
16 songs of and about Memphis - in fact, Memphis is in the title of each and every song.
I was a wary of this album at first but the more I thought about it, the more I understood it. Memphis' diverse musical situation needs to be celebrated and Dattel has compiled a carefully conceived and varied selection here.
Some songs will be recognized, some won't. Some were done in Memphis (most of them) and some in other places. Some songs are old, some songs are new, but for the most part it's a blues album, and since it's from Memphis, even the weak cuts are strong.
Susan Marshall's "In the Mood for Memphis" begins the album and seven songs later, we hear vocalist Gary Johns' version of the same song. Longtime player Don McMinn tells about "Memphis in May" and Joyce Cobb tells us all about "Memphis in June" in her unique.
Two songs jumped out at me and made the album worth the time - Jim Dickinson's Mud Boy and the Neutrons hammering out his friend Bob Dylan's "Stuck Inside of Mobile (With the Memphis Blues Again). " It's done with verve and vigor and I've always liked Jim's voice.
Eddie Harrison's version of "Walking in Memphis" is the best version of that Grammy-winning song I've ever heard. I remember seeing and hearing Eddie Harrison and the ShortCuts 35 years ago and thought they were great, and he's an even better singer now.
From beginning to end, the musicianship quality is top-notch and Dattel and company have an excellent CD here. If you're already from Memphis, go get this CD and celebrate your town. If you're not from Memphis, come on down! There's magic here.

KEVIN THE MASTER.......2007-04-30
This could almost be classed as SMOOTH JAZZ, but the genius that is KEVIN RUSSELL prevents this from being LIFT MUSIC. All these tunes get unusual treatments and take on a new life in the hands of this subtle and gifted guitarist. The tone RUSSELL chooses could almost be found on a CARLTON / METHENY cd, yet his playing coaxes deapth out of these tunes that might not have been apparent in the originals. This is above all a tour de force by a guitarist that is equaly at home in any genre he chooses. If this is his first exploration of JAZZ, than one can only hope that there is more to come. I love the heavier RUSSELL and was not sure about this one when I ordered it, but never fear, anything featuring RUSSELL oozes class and virtuosity and is guaranteed to satisfy his fans. If you are not a fan yet, try this and you are likely to become one.

Album Description
Another original gangsta classic from Eiht. This is one of the best albums McEiht has ever released. If you like gangsta rap this is a album you can't pass on. The tracks and the lyrics will bring the street life of southern califonia to you, like you live it every day. This album is a must have, if you are a true McEiht fan. Spice1(Welcome back to the ghetto) and Latoya London(Struggle)are also featured on the album. 1

Disappointing by Eiht's standards.......2004-11-08
MC Eiht's worst solo album out of his 13 solo's to date (8/05) I have all of them. Has no real great songs and the production is a little weak (done by Eiht & Poetic 1). Has a bonus dvd but it's nothing special either just Eiht talking while smokin a blunt & getting his hair braided and Eiht in the studio. One song features Spice 1 and is the best one on here. It has 4 good songs and the rest are ok. If you're a huge Eiht fan get it but other than that I wouldn't recommend it, definitely cop one of his other ones - his best 3 are "Section 8", "Death Threatz", and "Tha8t'z Gangsta".

All of these west coast rappers such as mc eiht, spice 1, e-40 have put out great work..........to bad it was all in the mid 90's now a days these guys are whack I bought this mc eiht cd and was hoping he would get back to his roots like his classic we come strapped" BUt my god what the hell is wrong with him every song on this cd sucks................west coast rap is dead........I guess I will have to go out and by little jon........even though I hate this new age rap its better listening to than these has beens trying to put out music.......
another banger.......2004-08-14
This album was cool...classic eiht style.
Track 5 and the track with spice were classic, mello out compton realness....the rest of the album was nice and very listenable. It had the same formula that has made eiht my favorite. Hardcore, soul wrenching lyrics with nice subliminal gangsta undertones in the beats.
I only gave it a three cuz to me it was not as good as Tha8tz Gangsta.
I am still funkin on that one.
Compton 4 Death...jeah!
eiht just keep coming street every year.......2003-08-23
eiht has been in the rap game over 12 years now released a new cd every year and deserves props for being around still underground and just keeping his music ghetto and avoiding the bubble gum pop stuff most rappers just can't avoid features spice 1 so you know it's gonna be another hood classic.
Another Solid Album By The Great MC Eiht.......2003-08-11
This album while not his greatest, is surely a good album. One problem i have is when they said bonus dvd, I truely thought that the dvd will have all of his classic videos, but it didnt, it was just some interviews, and mc eiht rappin in a boothe. Overall this is a tight album that no true MC Eiht fan should miss.
