Real good.......2007-07-25
This is a great album that should be heard by everyone. Beats on here are nice and Ambassador has some real MC skills. He drops great hip hop lines and the dude has a serious heart for the Lord. As a die hard hip-hop fan I was really impressed by this album.
Even my non-christian friends loved this CD. If you are looking for a way to break the stubborness of your friends (like I am) then this cd is a great tool. I've found that music is a great tool to soften non-believers' hearts.
Skip this one..........2007-06-15
This cd is one of the worst Christain Rap album ever made!!! everything from the beatz to the flow made me wanna skip it...
Decent.......2007-05-13
I'm a serious Cross Movement fan and I appreciate this effort to educate the church about Hip-Hop. If there is anyone who should spear head this mission it should be the Ambassador. However this album is not just for the church but for any fan of good music. Once you listen you'll feel this powerful message.

Thesis- Decent, but could have been better............2007-05-08
Ambassador was the first album I got from Cross Movement, and in many ways this artist introduced me to Christian rap. I loved his first CD, Christology, for its message and great variety of beats. Yet, this timeI didn't feel that in his latest album. As one reviewer said, too many of his songs are very upbeat and sound similar. The beats lack variety and seems a little uninspired. In my opinion, they actually took away from his lyrics and at times message. I give him credit for serving the Lord, but not much credit for a lesser album.
I still collect the Cross Movement albums for their wonderful message of God. But right now, my favorite is Lacrae...that guy has crazy lyrics, beats, and a powerful annoiting of God.. Maybe Ambassador will be my favorite again, but not this time.
Best Christian East Coast Hip-Hop CD.......2007-04-11
I absolutely love this CD. I personally feel that this is the best Christian East Coast hip-hop cd out their period and believe me I've listened to a lot of Christian Hip-Hop. The beats are off the chart and Ambassador ability to rhyme is simply amazing. I've gotten this into the hands of quite a few individuals who solely listen to secular hip-hop and they all have said that this cd could definetely compete with anyone out their today. Ambassador is also very deep and sound biblically. Especially in the day of the Gospel Gangstaz, Japhia Life, Rob Hodge, etc... who say very little about Christ and quite a bit about themselves in their "Christian" rap it is always refreshing to listen to an artist who is not all about himself since this seems to be especially rare in Christian hip-hop today. So I definetely recommend this CD to any Hip-Hop fan you won't be dissapointed!!

A mediocre release, at best.......2003-03-12
Henry Cowell was an American original. His music was sometimes brilliant and innovative. Often it was tepid and missing the mark. This disc certainly falls into the latter category. Cowell obviously struggled with the symphonic form. The two symphonies on offer here are lackluster and offer nothing worth remembering. A failed attempt at tonality with little or no organic development. Production is good as can be expected seeing that only 7 of the 63 minutes on the disc were recorded in stereo. For this era of Cowell's output, the discs on Koch do far better justice. For a truly ambitious and unique Cowell disc, search out the disc on Col Legno titled "American Piano Concertos". I had higher hopes for this disc, but knowing that I'd never listen to it again, I gave my copy to a friend. Maybe he'll find something in it that I missed.

I wish I could give zero stars.......2007-08-06
Let me start by saying that The Pax Cecilia are amazing. They have a zeal, and originality, mixed with such undeniable talent that they will be remembered for a long time. However, they didn't start that way; they were originally this: Autumn Wind Thesis.
I purchased this CD with low expectations; I only wanted to understand where the band had come from. However, this is horrific. There's no sense of structure, nothing new, nothing exceptional; infact, there isn't even anything mediocre, or just 'ok.'
This CD is terrible. I love 'Blessed Are The Bonds,' and I love the members of the band - they are amazing guys, and incredibly modest. I'm glad they were able to take this and grow to heights that are too high to touch by most musicians. I would never suggest anyone listen to this, though. This should be buried and forgotten. Let's all pretend Autumn Wind Thesis never existed. The Pax Cecilia were always The Pax Cecilia and never went by any other name. Good? Good.
kent is awsome.......2003-09-19
alright well i got this cd straight from the band. the kead singer kent wilson sent me 5 cds at the end of march in 2003, in 1 weekend we went from 5 cds tolike 50 in a few weeks. i am still asked for a copy all the time. but the music, its insperational. kents voice is great, he has the hardcore scream down, yet his voice isnt horrible like alot of other hardcore singers who can ONLY scream. the acoustic guitar work mixed with the heavy electric guitars is blended so well. the drum beats are great. the lass lines...well there not so obvious...partly due to the fact the band was missing a bassest. song for fuse/song for ashley and match book and the matadoor along with autumn wind first movement are among the bestsongs on the cd. if you are a fan of hardcore or emocore this is a cd that you cannot afford to miss.
Unimaginable Beauty.......2003-06-02
I just bought this cd the other day and it is amazing. I strongly recommend it to anyone. The music syle is not something you can put your finger on. The people behind this album are complete geniuses. If you don't purchase this album you with be behind on the future of music. It is the future of music. It is pure artestry at it's finest that can only be paralleled by such super groups as Tool and Pink Floyd.
awesome wind thesis.......2003-04-14
damn, how i love this cd! can't tell how often i listened to it. it was released in january 2003, thought i'd called it a classic, a real classic. autumn wind thesis' music is pretty hard to describe... brutal hardcore mixed with piano songs and acoustic ballads, and everything fits together so perfectly. the singer's screams are great, but honestly, his singing isn't THAT good. not sure if he doesn't hit the right tone consciously... but sometimes it seems a bit weird to me... though i LOVE it! my favorite songs on the album are "churchfield" (a pretty dissonant but great acoustic intro followed by a pretty brutal hardcore song), "drowning caroline" (one of the BEST hardcore songs i've ever listened to) and "song for a fuse/song for ashley" (a nice acoustic song with the already mentioned tone-hits...). alright... i hope i could help you with your decision if the cd is worth being bought. i would say: YES, IT IS! so if you're a fan of hardcore mixed with emotional singing and acoustic/piano ballads, buy this record!!!

Album Description
Emerging hip-hop recording artists Professor X and The Chem Lab are redefining the genre with their debut album "The Hydro-Thesis." The group uses the energy of a live rock/funk/reggae band in combination with edgy, clever, and catchy rap vocals to create a fresh new sound that appeals to a diverse audience. Hailing from Connecticut the group has quickly made an impression on the live music scene and developed a following with both main-stream hip-hop fans and rock & roll fans alike. Radio air-play spotlighting new and emerging talent has been creating a demand for their much anticipated debut release.
Customer Reviews:
Surprised by how much I really liked this...!.......2007-05-01
I checked out this artist based on a friend's advice. I have to say, I was surprised by how much I dig this album. Highly recommended...!!
Great Beats, Great Rhymes.......2007-04-28
I've been looking forward to this CD debut since I heard the first few tracks, and the rest of the CD definitely delivered. Always impressed with X's lyrics and metaphors, and the beats and grooves on each song really are infectious.
Cross-Genre Rockers Score.......2007-03-26
I had an opportunity recently to sit down and listen to the most recent release from budding Connecticut rockers Professor X and the Chem Lab not knowing what to expect, but eagerly awaiting the opportunity since a friend of mine -- whose musical judgements I generally trust -- told me "Man, thi is infectious!" He's right. I dare your head not to bob, your rump not shake, or develop a sneer of glee when listening to any one of the tracks on 'The Hydro-Thesis.'
The music's origiality is refreshing; in a world of cookie-cutter alt-radio bands finally there's a band out there that doesn't sound like NWOB (new whiners on the block). All cylinders are clicking, and most importantly it's obvious from the very first listen-through that these guys are having fun.
The unit obviously knows and respects a variety of musical genres including rap (the vocalist reminds me of a young Jay-Z -- not mimicking but infusing his delivery with a worldy-urban view), tie-dye rock (bassist James Porrata really keeps the musical flow groovin' with an almost Jaco-like charm and complexity at times, yet keeping it accesible), and reggae ( the drummer channeling crackin' chops from rhythmists Sly & Robbie or even Stewart Copland) ensure the rest of the group rocks.
This is exciting for me, because -- like their club devotees -- I'm able to witness the birth of a hot, new young group, with seemingly limitless potential, chart out a new course while delighting fans and remaining true to their spirit. Let's hope that Professor X and The Chem Lab continue to light up the fires under their proverbial bunsen burners, mix up another sonic delight, and blow the rock world off of its all too familiar staid foundation. Rock on, boys.

The Fall of Atom.......2000-02-10
This cd is wonderful. It has the rough edge of an indie recording with the talent of a good artist. I have met June and seen many live shows and believe me, he puts his heart and soul into every song. It's what music should be like. June shows a lot of promise and will probably only get better in time.
"It's June Panic!", MoLLy exclaims with delight........1999-07-23
I am Molly. I bought this cd in the summer of 98. It was definately a good listen. I've never met June Panic but listening to this cd is like sitting on his sofa watching him juggle or listening to him sing and dance while he fries an egg. His music isn't polished and suave but it makes me dance like a goon and my whole body smiles.
