classic album, 5 stars!!.......2006-10-24

This albums bangs from the beginning to the end with party jams and slow jams, an added bonus that he even raps on some of the tracks, I love songs on here like "It's Over", "Down On My Knees", "Don't Keep Me Waiting", "Back In LA", and of course the classic title track, Montell Jordan is a music genious, pick up this album right now if you don't have already!!!

"This Is How We Do It" will always be a great party or club anthem. It Samples from Slick Rick's "Children's Story". Alot of the other songs seem to be based on that same type of party flow. Overall, great party CD

About every track up here is hott but u got trackz like I Wanna & Coming Home that screw up da whole vibe b/e the trackz arent needed & their not good. Personally those 2 tracks gets on my nerves b/c how is singing & the beat on I Wanna & Coming Home but the trackz that are good is very good like Down on My Knees, Don't Keep Me Waiting, & I'll Do Anything(those are the slow Jamz). The other trackz are hott too. Another thing that i dont really like is Close the Door. Montell did his thing on that track(Close the Door) but i dont like the added stuff they did to the beaz & besides if i really wanted 2 hear that track I would pop on some Pendergrass...Nuff Said. Nice CD

One of the best songs but not one of his best albums.......2005-09-05

I'm an album person. I like the most of the album to be listenable. This album wasn't. It had 4 songs - Something 4,payback,daddy's home, of course the title track. I think he tried to implement "This is how we do it" into most of his songs. But if u like the 4 songs only on this albums. Buy all of his albums because this and Get it on tonite are the worst one!

This is absolutely the best album ever made, This Is How We Do It represent the real party anthem and although Montell still is a great singer, his debut album remains his best work yet. This is a classic and nothing's gonna change my mind about it.

This and Let's Ride are the best albums period........2005-09-05

More to Tell was definitely overlooked. So overlooked, I didn't realize I was singing his song in middle school. I thought it was someone else. I guess I thought he would come out w/ another "This is how we do it" album. He smoothed it out on this one. If u are on a long trip or just spend time w/ ur girl or guy - whatever the case may be - slide the CD in and let it play.
"I like" is the best song on there but "fallin" is a close second.
P.S. If u can sing,fellas, sing "What's on 2nite",Trust me I know.

Cool and funky songs on here.......2005-06-21

Montell Jordan's second album was quite good, though there's a coolness to the songs this time. Falling sounds so smooth and I Like has such a funkiness to it. Though I think that his two later albums are better, this was a strong effort as well. I think that this one was overlooked in '96.

I travel a lot and this tape goes wherever I go. I loose myself in every song. Ironically, several of the tracks (about the first five with the exception of "playing tricks)describe the relationship I am in...with the love of my life....

Can't see it.......2006-12-13

The critics on this CD said what they did. This CD is easily one of Montell's best along with More... It has more than a little something for everyone with a guest shot by Master P and Silkk the Shocker for good measure to add a little something else. Each song flows into the next with ease and style. No cursing or anything else needed just solid beats, songs and everything else is working on "Let's Ride"

Montell's Best Album!!!.......2006-10-26

I love the way this album flows, there's a nice mix of party songs, slow songs, and introspective tracks, my favorite songs on here are "When You Get Home", "I Miss You", "Say Yes", and of course "Let's Ride", this album is almost a decade old but still bumps better than most albums out today, a must have for r&b fans

Another great album!!!.......2005-09-05

This one was not overlooked. "Let's Ride" is another one of his albums where u can slide it in the player and let it play. It starts out good and ends spiritually. It has everything for all R&B lovers - hip hop flava, smooth sexy tempos, or just a straight "How can I feel this empty space when suddenly gone" song(Track 6). If u did like any of the other albums, u should definitely - I mean - DEFINITELY buy this album and "More To Tell".

Good CD Don't Know Why People are Hatin'.......2007-03-22

Montell Jordan is one of the few R&B singers worth listening to. I like the way that he sets up the CD the way Boyz II Men did their earlier ones by putting all of the fast songs together and all the slow ones together. I also like the way that he does Once Upon a Time is Spanish if you never seen the music video for this song you missed out. My favorites are

I wouldn't put this album in the league of his classic albums like "This Is How We Do It" and "Let's Ride" but this album's still great from start to finish, my favorite tracks on here are "Once Upon A Time", "Get Down", "Do You","When I'm Sexin' You", and "Let's Get It On Tonite"(even though I like the remix with LL Cool J even better that ain't on the album), recommended from any of you r&b lovers out there, Montell's the truth!!

This album was one of those albums where the first song is misleading to buy the album. Get it on...tonite is a hit like "This is how..." but this album is better than that one. I applaud his attempt at originality with TRACK 17 but he shouldn't have split the slow and up-tempo and he should have put the Get it on...tonite remix instead of the last song. Now not like the other reviewers who love and adore everything he comes out with, I am honest. I have 5 of the 6 albums but I am going to tell the truth. This is better than "this is how..." but nowhere near "Let's Ride" & "More to Tell".

bad music except for 1 song.......2005-03-24

I have and have heard a LOT of albums and this one really is crap. All the songs are pretty much the same and the difference between the first half and the second half (separated by the artist)...well there is no difference. He was trying to have have club music the first half and bedroom music the second half.

I finally left my frumpy spouse Bessie speechless. One large poop on and this book next to a breakfast plate at her folks house finally did it. And rendered me uninvited for the immediate future. What a shame. What a useful book. Bravo Gomi!! Bravo POOP!!
