Fine collection of philosophical songs for adults..........2001-12-16

Red aims this latest collection at the adults who buy his other products for their children. Most of these songs are spiritual in theme, but performed in a variety of tempos. The new, original songs capture a mature kind of religous viewpoint, complex, optimistic but not sappy, serious but not dirge-like. If you care about why you are here, where you might go next, and how to figure out the best way to live so you go to somewhere decent after this world, you will like this. If you liked his other adult album, "Free Falling", which was more about human love than divine affection, you should also enjoy "Soul Man in a Techno World." As usual, Red's vocals are fine, if you like tenors, and his arrangements and accompaniment are hard to fault. The guy knows how to make music...but on this CD, it is music to help you think, and feel part of the cosmos, and act rightly. This is a serious man, with deeply-held if somewhat unconventional beliefs, who normally makes his living creating fun stuff that helps little kids get over their fear of singing or any idea that music is dull or for sissies. This time out, he aims for the part of grownups that seeks connection with its creator. I like it a lot.

This album has blessed me significantly.
Whenever I play it, I have to stop whatever I'm
doing and give praise to God. Amani is
an anointed singer and an exceptionally
blessed songwriter, as well. I am grateful
for his ministry and eagerly look forward
to his next release. I am seriously considering
giving everyone I know a copy of "Issues of Life"
as a Christmas present!

Superior New soul album with that has a hint of classic 70's soul. 'Next Of Kin' and 'Chocolate Paradise' and god mid tempo bouncy dancers, ' Good 2 CYA' and 'Inseperable' are nice beat ballads and 'Cant Get Enough' a catchy finger snapper. Also check the ballad 'Rose Of Concrete' and his awesome recut of Bobby Womack's 'Womans Gotta Have It' which makes it contemporary whilst retaining the essence of the original. Strong album.

Stunningly Original - Easily 5 Stars..........2005-10-15

Gina Scipione's voice is clear, so natural, and her songs are refreshingly original. Destino is a remarkable debut album, clearly a mark well above what one would expect. She's a gifted pianist, the power of her original melodies and lyrics songs encourage one to listen to the tracks on this CD again and again. She has a particular gift that few young songwriters have.

"My Request" struck a chord in my heart as I heard the lyrics and melody. "Winter" hits home as well. All women should be given the opportunity to hear "Independence Day," and this listener can understand why they say it's her most-requested song in concert. "Take Me to Freedom" makes one wonder how someone so young can sing with such emotion that can come only from personal experience.

Advice to men: buy this CD for your woman to show her that you do hear and understand her... or are at least trying to.

Advice to women: buy Destino for your man to let him know how you really feel inside. This is one of those rare albums that will allow you to do so.

This album is a promising start, from a young artist who will go a long way. Gina, you're amazing - keep it up!

The gay rights movement has made extraordinary progress over the past 33 years since Stonewall, a pivotal event in our history which we must continue to remember and celebrate. Jimmy Worm gives us an opportunity to do just that with "Stonewall" from his album "I Pledge."

"Stonewall" is worth the price of the CD alone, though "I Dream" and "United" are also favorites. These songs are anthems of love, acceptance and a reflection of our relationships and desires. ...
