Wonderfully diverse.......2001-02-11

Recorded live from the Parco Novi Sad, in Modena Italy, on 20 June 1996, this is another of Pavarotti's wonderful concerts to benefit children who are caught up in the horrors of war. Some of the worlds best performers have gotten together for a diverse musical experience that defies language barriers, as well as musical genres. Practically everything is covered on this album. From rock, pop, classical, blues, sacred, jazz and latin...it's all here. Whatever your musical preference, this is an album that should appeal to all in it's diversity, and considering the worthy cause, a necessity for music lovers. And where else will you be able to hear Pavarotti exercising his chops with the likes of Eric Clapton, Liza Minelli, Sheryl Crow, Jon Secada, Joan Osborne and Elton John! And speaking of Sheryl Crow, you cannot miss her singing a Mozart opera aria with Pavarotti. She is truly amazing...who would have believed it. She more than holds her own with the maestro. This is a must have.

This CD has two levels of depth. Listen to it as blend of Euro-pop and US big-names, THEN try again.

"Holy Mother" travels from its prayer for strength to the junked-out streets screaming for survival in "Saint Teresa". On the journey continues to Elton's "Live Like Horses"-- his personal tribute to Versace. There, the classical truly melds with contemporary anthem-- and begs us to be free of our self imposed fences and walls. Food for thought and music to soothe the soul. This collection helped me survive my dear niece's suicide.

A single call Love in a slow motion is beautiful songs which I recommend too bad the songs are not so popular anymore perhaps some young generation would like to resing the songs or judson sing it again as fans request

One of the Best Albums I Own.......2003-12-19

Judson Spence is a white Prince, sans the creepy behavior and erratic output. Spence is a multi-instrumentalist who supposedly writes at least 1 song a day.

Although he explores spirituality in his work, he is definately in touch with the world. He is more at home with the freak and the junkie and the homeless of this world than the pretty people and it shows in the sadness that infuses his beautiful vocals.

This by far is his materwork. I thought his 1980's album was kind of shallow and lacked depth, so needless to say I was shocked when I first album. He sounds like a totally different artist.

He released an excellent indie album before this (Painfaithjoy) and an even better indie album in 2003 (Velvet Kitten Sessions), but as good as both are, neither come close to this modern classic.

Trust me-- this album is worth the $$$.

Sooooo different!.......2001-02-04

From the guy who brought you YEAH! YEAH YEAH! and "Forever You, Forever Me" comes this new edger side of Judson. I must admit, it did take several listens to really get into it. The stand out songs are: "New Day Dawning", "Bossanovanight" and the very cool "NYC". I hope that Judson Spence keeps up the work and puts out albums. I know he writes song for other people but I like the writer to sing his own songs. Waiting for some new stuff JUDSON!!! It's been awhile!!!!!!

Only once in a great while does an artists debut album capture such greatness. This album is for sure one of them! It's now in my top 4, with The Gang of Four, Jesus and Mary Chain, and the Velvet Underground. A great music collection isn't complete with out The Jimmy Haig Experience.
