The Tide of Funk.......2005-12-25

I grew up in the 70s and certain songs are a part of that. If you're groovin' in a club on the east coast at that time you had to hear "Just Wanna Make a Dream Come True"! When you talk about Mass Production, you're talking about "People Get Up", "I Like to Dance" - songs that emphasize the groups all-embracing horn sections as well the rhythm section. Songs like "Groove Me" and "Sky High". You would be better off finding the vinyl and burning you own compilation than to buy this cd.

Personally, other than "Firecraker," I found the rest of the CD to be "adequate." Among others, I'm going to have to wait until the "good stuff" is put out on CD. Funny, I guess that they don't want money...oh, well...Three stars for the disc.

Compilation is very disappointing.......2005-04-28

Mass Production was a very funky group in the late 70's and early 80's. This best of CD does them NO justice. The compilation for this CD is Ok to a point but Jams like "Nature Lover" and "Love You" are missing plus a few more.
I'm very disappointed and I will advise any true Mass Production fans to beware and not waste your time buying this CD if you already have all their jams on vinyl. The choice is yours?

More Funk Please.......2005-02-27

I agree with alot of what has been written about this CD. Way to shallow for a Band of this magnitude. For the guy that wrote "one hit wonder" he obviously knows nothing about Mass Produciton. As this is the only Mass Production CD that I have ever been able to find and it does have my jam "Angel" on it, it's really the only reason to buy it. This CD is not a true representation of what Mass Production was all about...hardcore, slammin' in your face Funk
