Sadness is etched in Faith Evans's smoky vocals, an underpinning of regret and the blues that gives her a vulnerability and realness that's compelling. That hint of heartache is perfectly suited for love-lost midtempo ballads, like her 1995 hit "You Used to Love Me," and in many ways Evans (once married to the late Notorious B.I.G.) is a modern-day torch singer. Yet like Mary J. Blige, her sister in sorrow, Evans has added more uptempo rhythm to her moody mix, as evidenced by the thumping first single off her third CD. Set to a banging, West Coast-style beat, "You Gets No Love" (produced by newcomer Michelangelo Saulsberg) is club ready and playful, yet Evans's wistful tone is almost overwhelmed by the bounce. That's why the strongest songs on this satisfying CD are cuts like the lush "I Love You" and the stand-by-your-man anthem "Do Your Time," both coproduced by P. Diddy. She can sing just about anything, but when Evans lets her love light simmer, she creates a smoldering flame. --Amy Linden

!.......2007-04-20
This is truly an excellent album. I played this CD out when it first came out and I still listen to it constantly to this day. It never gets old. Every song is absolutely flawless; even the interludes are great! The production is great. The vocals are her best yet... short and sweet, this is by far Faith's best album. Her debut had great music, but some of it was a little bland and too much the same as what Mary J. was doing at that time. (Faith did have a lot of writing and backup vocals on the My Life album, so that's probably why.) Her sophomore release was nice, but it was a bit boring and slow. Her fourth album is very good, but it can't touch this, her third album. You need to buy this! This is one of my favorite R&B albums ever.
The album is like that! .......2007-03-28
Great job Faith! One of her best album's yet! I was very impressed!
Great Album... But Not Properly Marketed.......2007-03-16
The third album from Faith is definitely a little lighter than her previous effort "Keep the Faith". She seems a little happier than before even though she still has some depressing tracks. Her singles that were released did fairly well but the "Burnin Up remix " with Missy and Freeway are better than the album version with Loon. "I Love You" had a steamy but tasteful video that brought that song to life and she shares writing credit with J.Lo and the song "Brand New Man" is letting a ex-trifling man that you can do better than him with someone new, "Can't Believe" with Carl Thomas is another highlight of the album. The Faith fans won't be disappointment, but Puffy should've definitely promoted her better and she probably might've still been on Bad Boy.
Proper Thrid Album.......2007-01-10
Faith Evans thrid album in six years was very good. The album featured the up-tempo party numbers You Gets No Love and Burnin Up. The CD also features a signature ballad Faith is known for having and on this CD it's the sentimental I Love You.
Can't get enough..........2006-01-02
This is one of the very few albums that I let ride all the way through on my CD player--this album is hot! Even the interlude fillers are enjoyable. This is by far Faith's best work and it's disappointing to know that Bad Boy (Puffy, you suck!) didn't do a better job promoting this album. This album is comparable to Mary J Blige's "Share My World" (again a HOT album). I purchased this CD because I liked the single, "You gets no love" and had been a fan of her since "Keep the Faith". I can't get enough of "Burnin' up" (though the music sounds oddly similiar to "Shake ya azz"/Mystikal. Neptunes, y'all know better! But I still LOVE LOVE LOVE you!), "I love you", "Do your time" (she laid the chorus OUT!), "Faithfully" (even Biggie can't compete with her rendition), "Where we stand" ( because, "...is it to soon to love you?"), "Heaven only knows" (which sometimes makes me sleepy), "Love can't hide" (it sounds like 14 other people are singing the parts that she sings--ole' girl gots' some mean pipes!) and "Can't believe" (the base line is fierce!). Hold it down Faith--you can't be touched.

Johnny Mathis A Voice Made In Heaven.......2007-07-21
As A Johnny Mathis Fan since 1957, I felt his voice was in his prime on
this excellent CD. He Has a rare talent as he enjoys singing well written
songs, puts his heart and soul into it and out comes perfection. A RARE Talent.
Johnny doesn't Disappoint.......2007-02-12
I have been wanting to hear Johnny Mathis sing My Beloved and Maria and Tonight ever since I listened to my album when I babysat, many moons ago. Thanks for helping me find him again. His voice is so pure and clear.
He was the Voice of Romance and 50 plus years later; he still is!.......2006-11-15
At last these two fabulous albums have been released on CD. They were recorded on LP's by the Master of Singing, Johnny Mathis, in the late 50's and they were written by those who knew what Poetry and Romance were about...the combination was and remains perfect. I am biased and happy to be so but if you like good music, perfect singing, then you decide because I all ready did long ago.
Happy Fifty Years as a Recording Artist Johnny Mathis and Thank You for Every Single Note!
Remembering Romance.......2006-03-23
There are soft lights, maybe a candle, and the music of Johnny Mathis. Romance in tne air, and memories are born.
Faithfully is truly an album of love.Love lost(Blue Gardenia,Where are You)Love found(Maria,Follow Me)Love new(Tonight,Nobody Knows). This is one of the all time great albums of Johnny Mathis.Music like this is not recorded today.
Johnny's Mood, another classic."April in Paris" and "Once" are two of my favorites."Folks who live on the hill" and "in return" two more greats, again excelllent album during Mathis' prime.
The hardest thing for me to understand is why these and other great Mathis albums (Rapture,Warm,Tender is the Night, etc.)are not available in U.S. issue? One thing that is not hard to understand is Johnny Mathis IS the voice of romance.
Johnny At His Finest.......2005-08-10
As an avid fan of Johnny Mathis, who by the way I just saw perform live in Westbury, Long Island, I can sincerely say that this particular compilation of two albums recorded when Johnny was in his prime and made in England, was/is a delight to listen to. Johnny's range, timber, impeccable diction and romantic interpretive qualities are all there in fine form. In addition, the CD jacket is a copy taken from the original albums when Johnny was in his prime physically as well. His handsome appearence on the CD jacket just adds to the overall quality of this CD, making it a must have for avid fans of Johnny Mathis. So rush and buy your own copy; I promise you won't be disappointed. Submitted by Axel P. Henry, Dubai, UAE.

Faithfully spotlights Cetera's masterful blend of finely crafted songs and easygoing vocal style with 11 of his best-loved songs, including the Billboard Adult Contemporary Top Ten hits (I Wanna Take) Forever Tonight, Faithfully, and One Clear Voice, an essential addition to any music collection.
Customer Reviews:
Boy is He Faithful! .......2005-07-04
I remember when Saturday Night Live did a spoof of Irene Cara from Fame singing the theme song from the movie as "Same:" "Same! I sing the same song forever." Maybe Peter should have gone that route instead of this album. I just got through listening to it, and have decided he should never have left Chicago. Sure, it's a nice, slick adult contemporary recording, but it's also the same exact song with different lyrics eleven times in a row. Sometimes he duets with two females who sound exactly alike--Crystal Bernard (Hee-hee-hee, gimmie a break!) and Ronna Reeves, whose unique vocal style even manages to get the authenticity sucked out of it here. Even his remake of the beautiful "Happy Man" from his Chicago days is reduced to an extremely unattractive entrail of itself.
So why 2 stars instead of one? Production quality is key here, and it's nice wallpaper music for wallpapering by. Beside that, it's Peter, and at least his voice is good. Other than that, this is a lackluster piece of offal that I wasted under ten bucks on. My second and last solo Cetera album, I suggest you steer clear of this album unless you find 11 versions of one song entertaining.
faithully.......2005-04-18
just like the other reviewer noted..this is just a reissue of one clear voice this is a super cd i love it..while i was not to thrilled of the remake of "happy man" that wasnt enought to destroy the cd..well i mean it wasnt bad but it doesnt hold a candle to how he orginally did it with chicago back in 1974 but like i said this is an awesome cd get it if you dont have one clear voice
ONE CLEAR VOICE reissued.......2005-04-15
Although the cover says "Recent Recordings by the Original Artist", FAITHFULLY is a budget reissue of the ONE CLEAR VOICE CD, the original issue on River North Records being out of print. It has different artwork than the original and the songs have been reordered. It is a must for fans of Chicago and Peter Cetera, but true fans will already have the original.

This is a 'must have' for anyone who enjoys either Turkish or Middle Eastern music. Wonderful for just listening to, or even meditating; very relaxing music. Not particularly for belly dancing, but would be appreciated by dancers for sure.
This CD represents the best of Turkish Classical Music.......2001-04-08
I was searching for a representative of the Classical Turkish Music to introduce my friends to Turkish music and I was very happy when I found this one. The selection is masterly-played, the songs are mostly slow, captivating and soulful. The music has a good "old" quality that takes you to the Ottoman palace and starts you to dream. Certainly a "must have" if you're willing to experience a different piece of music.

If you haven't heard it, you don't know what to expect.......2007-01-19
This is actually a very good album, and I almost think it is destined to become a collector's item because the music isn't as well known as the artist. The combination of synthesizer and piano may be a little heavy at times, but it's tastefully done, and even the occasional intrusion of Kenny G can't ruin it.
Six Weeks is a very good film score, heard here in another arrangement and broken up throughout the disc -- an approach that works.
Too bad the only way I can get to this page is by searching through an engin. A search on this site for Dudley Moore does not yield up this album. There are other ways...
hauntingly beautiful.......2005-10-29
Trying to describe the music on this CD is difficult. It is not piano music that is beautiful because of its degree of difficulty or the player's accomplishment. Instead it is beautiful because of its simplicity that seems to come from the soul. Its melodies will be with you long after you turn the music off and you will be left with the feeling that Mr. Moore shared something very personal with you. This has been a favorite of mine for many many years.
An almost spiritual experience.......2004-01-24
This is very different from most other piano CD's and has a very meditative quality to it. I was very skeptical about the use of electronic sounds to supplement the piano but it's done very discretely and very much enhances the depth of the music. This is the CD to put on when you really want to relax and look at your pictures from that trip to Alska. It's very deep, rich, sensual music. It's not quite new age but has some of that quality to it. One of my all time favorite CD's.

groovy, funky but nothing excellent..........2006-02-18
I think this album is okay. Rebbie Jackson has an excellent voice (better than Janet) but just doesnt sing the right songs. She isnt very modern. Which is a pity. Her songs are Jackson-y but not up to Michael or Janet standarts at all.
Stay away from the songs:
Your Faithfully
You take me places
Listen to:
Centipede
Play Your Game
Overall worth a listen but nothing as good as MJ or Janet.
DECENT.........JUST OKAY.......2005-05-24
Even though Janet is my favorite Jackson of them all, Rebbie is the only one out of the three sisters that can really sing. Her style of course differs from her two younger sisters. Rebbie never portrayed the sexy side of herself like her sisters but concentrated more on her vocal ability. She doesn't have the best singing voice like Mariah or Whitney but she can surely sing. This album delivers tunes about love in every way whether it's fast, mid-tempo, or slow grooves. Even though she would be considered a one hit wonder with her hit "Centipede", Rebbie released about 4 albums overall, which none of the albums really made a dent on the charts. Rebbie is talented, but maybe if she had gotten the right promotion in her singing career, Michael and Janet wouldn't have been the only 2 Jacksons to make it big.
Review for "Yours Faithfully" by Rebbie Jackson.......2004-11-02
This is one of my Jackson family favorites. Every song on this CD is a delight to listen to; the tracks are very jazzy and soothing at times. The only track that doesn't fit is "Centipede". Although the song is a classic, it doesn't go with the rest of the R&B songs on this album. My personal favorite is "I Don't Want To Lose You", which really shows that Rebbie actually has a good singing talent, much better than those of her other, more famous sisters, Janet and La Toya. I was a little skeptical when I first purchased the CD, but the second I put it in my CD player and began listening to it, all my doubts went away. Definetely something you should consider getting...
Descent but not great.......2004-03-21
First of all, Rebbie doesn't have the best voice. She's not bad, but nothing that would impress anyone. Her album is descent. Centipede if understand the lyrics right, which I'm hoping I'm not, is a very nasty sexual song. Those of you who are thinking about getting this album in hopes to hear Michael in a few rare cameos are in for a disappointment. I was hoping Fly Away was going to be a duet with Michael like the sticker on the front advertises to get people to buy it, but it's not, he does sing background vocals but not enough to make this cd worth buying for that reason (if that makes sense). His two appearances on this album can be compared to his appearance on 3t's I Need You (which is just a few lines at the end of the song). Enough said about that. This album will probably collect dust in my cd collection because it is nothing that grabbed my attention but it's not bad either. Just average. Kind of like Janet's first two albums (you know the two before Control) that most people don't know exist. I wouldn't pay more than 5 bucks for this album (which is what I payed thankfully) so if you have to have the Jackson family music collection pick this up :).
Convincing.......2003-12-11
Michael's eldest sister surely has the strongest high voice among the
sisters. She's high in voice, but she's also strong in it. Not whistling along
like Janet. The album was produced by Michael, released on MJJ records, and
features a new version of his song "Centipede" (he wrote it for Rebbie in
the 80s). Good quality and nice songs. "Fly away" is written by MJ too , but is
not catching that much attention. Very interesting: "You take me places" or the
Sheila E. cover "Koo koo". If Rebbie had released another song as a single
than the title track, then this album would have gotten more attention. This
album features also the Men of vizion.

Lyrical Encouragement.......2005-07-15
Wow. This song has been so encouraging to me. Anyone, male or female, who is committed to living their life in purity and seeking the will of the Father for the future man or woman they will marry is going to be encouraged by hearing this song. Whether you're close to the age where you're realistically considering marriage or a young person still dreaming of your prince (or princess!), this song will keep your focus on the eternal reality that God has your best interests in mind for your future spouse. Musically, this song is beautiful, but the lyrics speak deeply to the spirit longing for true love. I've had the pleasure of meeting Eric and listening to the story of he and Leslie's relationship, so this song has a special meaning to me.

Most powerful vocal from the 80's.......2006-05-05
Judy was and still is the only singer that has the most powerful vocal out of the 80's girl. I wish she were as sucessful as Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey.
Faithfully was one of my favorite song from Journey and now it's also one of my favorite from Judy. She did a wonderful job remaking it.
How about giving us a full length CD Judy..
Excellent selection of mixes for this diva of longevity!.......2006-02-15
Judy Torres- I've heard her name passed around many times but never bothered to check out her music or look her up. She has evidently had a long-lived career as a freestyle artist from the 80s. Freestyle can only be taken in small doses for me, I'm more of a house/soul person. And when this came out I thought- oh geez, another typical Robbins release trying to manufacture another singer. Well, curiousity got the better of me, and I decided to sample the tracks on 'Faithfully'....I liked the interpretation of the old 80's hit! 80s covers are pretty cool if they're done right. The song actually sounds damn good with female vocals, though one would not imagine so. I bought all the tracks from iTunes, and listened to them.
The Valentin club and radio mixes are the best- hands down- you get the trancy feel and around the chorus, it slows down a bit to preserve the retro tempo of the original song, but on the versus it transitions back to the trance sound. The Giuseppe mixes are equally as good. The Candlelight Mix is awesome- this ballad version really demonstrates Judy's vocals very nicely and are not drowned out by the dance beats on the other mixes.
This is a perfect example of a CD with fewer but awesome mixes- some releases have 8-10 remixes but half of them are crap...this one makes it nice and easy to enjoy. I also like how Judy has transitioned very well to house/trance, versus her well-known freestyle sounds. Some have dogged on her for the change, but it suits her in my opinion. She's very good, and will be the Reina of 2006...Reina was the main Robbins artist in 2005. Good stuff, hope to hear more from Ms. Torres!!
gorgeous!.......2005-12-29
WELCOME BACK, JUDY. YOU'VE NEVER SOUNDED BETTER.

Faithfully...Judy returns with another hit!.......2005-12-17
Excellent cover of the Journey Classic hit "Faithfully" by the incredible voice of freestyle diva JUDY TORRES. This single is great! What an incredible vocal range!
I love the Valentin's Dance Extended and Giuseppe D's Epic Journey Edit, but all versions are excellent, including the Valentin's candlelightmix ( which is the ballad version).
I can't wait for Judy's full cd release. She's an incredible singer and has alot of fans that support all her projects.
Amazing cover of the Journey ballad..........2005-12-14
Only a few mixes on this disc, but they get the job done. The Valentin mix is stunning, with a euro hard NRG flavor. The Guiseppe D mix is a bit harder, and not as melodic, but still excellent. You get full length and edited versions of both, plus an acoustic mix. And Judy Torres sounds as good as ever, bringing great power to her vocal performance.
