Sometimes it takes a Sharon Jones to remind us that being a great performer is not necessarily the same as being a great Gap model, and vice versa. To believe the hype, exterior aesthetics kept this soul/funk singer from getting the recognition she deserved early in her career. Now she's pushing 50, but Naturally (Jones' second full-length album with the Dap-Kings) proves that she can still sing circles around just about anything in hot pants.
When it comes to running down the great songs on this CD, it's hard to know where to begin. "How Long Do I have to Wait for You" is as smooth and winning as the irresistible lovers Jones sings about on many of these tracks. Most of the material deals with matters of the heart, although Jones' rendition of Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land" reveals her political side. (In live performances Jones goes even further, singing a plan to stop paying taxes.) "Stranded in Your Love" is like a warm-weather version of "Baby It's Cold Outside." And the big romantic finish on this album, "All Over Again" must immediately be taken up as the new, must-play, wedding dance song. Naturally is a gift to R&B and should help the genre win new fans--with an album this infectious, you'd have to be made of stone to resist the funk. --Leah Weathersby
Customer Reviews:
You need to hear her version of "This Land is Your Land".......2007-01-10
New singer, climbed her way to the national scene late in life. She was working until recently as a security guard or something, but man has she got talent. The fact that she wasn't discovered until recently is an indictment against the record industry and their disproportionate interest in the "look" of singers. No, she's not pretty in the Britney Spears/Paris Hilton kind of way, but she has a simply gorgeous voice which she uses to sing R and B with a lot of funk and soul. If you like the old Motown sounds, or 70s funk, and who doesn't by the way, you can't help but love this CD. It's not just her remarkable talents, her band includes an excellent horn section, an impressive rhythm section, and a monster of a bass player who seems to be the band leader. Get this CD, check out the Daptone label for other funky soul r and b CD's you should have, and next chance you can, see the DapKings live. You ever noticed how race, ethnicity, age, nationality, social class, and sometimes even gender and sexual orienation segregates music audiences? Well it's the opposite with the old Motown sound, you start playing that stuff to just about any crowd and people start dancing and singing along. Same thing with this Sharon Jones stuff, in concert, they get an pretty diverse crowd of fans.
A return to 60's&70's soul.......2006-11-05
As a longtime collector of 60's and 70's soul music, this compilation gives me hope that some artists and performers are still refusing to let
this style of music disappear.
This is serious bare bones, back to basics stuff.
The funk drives hard and the soul is sweet and danceable.
I love this stuff.
I LOVE IT !!!!.......2006-05-12
The fella from Leeds whose review is posted as the first one says it all. I just wanted to say how much i LOVE this excellent album and how i can't stop listening to it!!!! It's everything you want from music! It's just sheer joy and satisfaction of listening to a great tune and real musicians whose love for the music they're making shine through.
I love all the songs on it. My most favorites are My Man Is A Mean Man and Your Thing Is A Drag. I'm so happy i discovered great Ms.Jones and her equally great band! Do yourself a favor and check this out. I'm sure you'll end up buying it!!!
Gimme an "S"! For SOUL........2006-01-29
Sometimes I think I'm the only person under 30 who really knows what soul is. But I had the very fortunate experience of seeing Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings live recently and half of the faces in the audience were as young if not younger than mine. Sharon dances without choreography and the Dap Kings jammed without synthesizers. This is music the way it was meant to be. The revolution might not be televised, but it will be on stage, sold on Amazon, and headquartered in Brooklyn.
Sharon Jones acts natural..........2006-01-10
I love Sharon Jones! Her voice oozes soul and sass, and the Dap Kings back her with a groove that makes it impossible to stay still once you hear it. This is their second CD, and contains more ballad oriented material than their hard hitting first disc, "Dap Dippin". However, this disc is not lacking in grooves. "How Long Do I Have To Wait For You?" is so catchy its addictive. I have played this song so many times its not even funny. "This Land Is Your Land" is a VERY creative cover of the Woody Guthrie standard. Its a far cry from the original version! Also noteworthy is Sharon Jones' put down of a lover on "Your Thing Is A Drag". The band really lays down a groove on this one and Sharon Jones' vocals get the guy GOOD. If you liked the first album by Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, you should definitely pick this one up, they continue to be the best funk band around.

GREAT CD!.......2007-05-30
This is a really great CD by Jedi Mind Tricks, it's one of their best! I highly recommend "Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell" for anyone who needs to pickup some new rap music for their collection.
Strong And Vicious (Rating: 9 out of 10- -4.5 stars).......2007-05-11
Jedi Mind Tricks, has been a group that I really haven't been following too much. I've only heard two of their albums: "Visions Of Ghandi" & "The Psycho-Social CD", and I have been very impressed with the albums that the group has made.
I didn't think to buy this album, until about a couple of months ago. Listening to Vinnie Paz' rhymes, he seems to sound more stronger and lyrical than ever. Listening to "Suicide", he sounds more stronger than ever. I actually like the samples that DJ Kwestion placed into the hooks for this song as well as "Put The In The Grave". I haven't heard anything too much like this in a while, especially this year. "Uncommon Valor: A Vietnam Story" features a sick verse from R.A. The Rugged Man, who actually outshines Vinnie Paz. Another touching song is the track is the track "Shadow Business" when Vinnie Paz talks about how life is from China and kids who work hard to support thier families. "Outlive The War" feauting Sean Price and Block Mc Cloud.
I'm not sure about any of the other albums that are out, but the CD that I have has three bonus tracks. One of the tracks that I liked was "Pretty Little Whores" with Outerspace. I also have a DVD with the video of "Heavy Metal Kings" (dope Mobb Deep sample), as well as the making of the music video.
As for any negatives, I quickly noticed the way that Vinnie Paz rhymes. It's like at the end of almost every bar, he quickly says something very short that rhymes with the last thing he said (if you heard the album, you would know exactly what I'm talking about.) That carries throughout the album. Also I wasn't feeling the Terror Remix to "Heavy Metal Kings".
Overall this album is excellent and one of the best of 2006. In fact Babygrande Records has been releasing excellent material thoughout the year (5% Album, Hi-Teknology 2: The Chip, etc.). This is one of the albums that many would enjoy the insensity of Vinnie Paz' lyrics, backed by Stupe The Enemy's production. I recommend that you check this out. Peace.

It's not a fluk, It's been tried, they are the truth.......2007-05-04
If you have been a fan of jedi mind tricks for a while, and i mean you have their CDs, not just listen to some of their songs. Then you can agree with me that with ever release comes something different. That is what makes them so great, their ability to stay fresh, because you don't know what is coming next. JMT was one hip hop group that i was fully into, because that was when i started actually listening to hip hop and looking for CDs not just hearing songs on the radio. I bought everything they put out, so it is hard for me to say that something of theirs is wack and only give them a 3 star rating, but i swear this album is nasty. Stoupe comes so correct with the production although some songs sound similar, it doesn't matter. He is like a mix of premier and havoc, because he makes those great samples and has songs you can feel in your bones. "Heavy Metal Kings" is such a nasty song, the beat comes in so hard and just hypes you up for a fight. But one of my favorite songs is "Uncommon Valor"(A Vietnam Story) the story that Paz and R.A. the rugged man unfold is a horrific tail of two different prospectives on the Vietnam War, but it just has that erie feeling to it like as if you are watching Marten Sheen covered with mud popping out of the water in Apocalypse Now. Fans questioned JMT after their release of Visions of Ghandi, many thought that they were just a fluk but now they have proven that they are a very stable, and influential rap group that knows their history of hip hop and can still play in the world of today.
The Break Down 1-10 rating
1.Intro
2."Put Em In The Grave"- 9 (this beat is great and Vinnie is on point)
3."Suicide"- 6 (beat is good, but the hook is a little bit of a stretch)
4."Uncommon Valor"- 10 (Classic)
5."A Blood Red Path"- 7 (Paz goes straight with no hook)
6."When All Lights Dies"- 8 (Very good song that you listen and relax to)
7."Serenity In A Murder"- 9.5 (this songs is bangin, it is like d'evils)
8.Pariah Demise interlude
9."Heavy Metal Kings"- 10 (Classic)
10."Shadow Business"- 8 (Great Story about Slave Labor)
11.Triumph And Agony interlude (beat is nasty, lyrics to it would be nice)
12."Razorblade Salvation"- 10 (Classic, deep song)
13."Outlive The War"- 9.5 (Sean Price makes this song great)
14."Gutta Music"- 9 (Such a great beat, with lyrics to match)
15.Temples Of Ice interlude
16."Black Winter Day"-7 (Another deep Song to end a great album)
The Art Of Consistency {4.5 Stars}.......2006-12-07
On their fifth release Vinnie and Stoupe craft what I believe to be their best effort yet. Say what you will about Vinnie's lyrics, but he brings it to your chest every time he spits. I personally don't find his lyrics offensive, but I think it's safe to say that JMT's stuff isn't for the easily offended. As far as the CD itself, Stoupe brings the heat on the boards. He's been dope and consistant from day one, so all you fans kow what to expect. Though the album is laced with banger after banger (I'd say 16 of 19 joints are tight), I think the consensus on "Uncommon Valor" being the best track on the entire album is pretty much spot on. The mentality of Vietnam soldiers. Brilliant. Vinnie provides one side of the equation (the scared soldier that wants to just do his job and leave) while R.A. is the booze drinking, vietnamese women screwin' (his words, not mine), glory seeking, violence loving soldier looking to be a hero. It's original and captivating in it's delivery. Hip Hop could definitely use more of that.
The DVD contains the video for "Heavy Metal Kings" which features Ill Bill and has a cameo by R.A. The Rugged Man. It also contains behind the scenes footage (Vinnie signing records, R.A. commentary, the making of the video, etc...).
You know, there isn't much wrong with this album. I found the three "bonus" tracks to be so-so (there are no wack tracks though), but what bores me the quickest is Vinnie P's cadence -- it never changes. Some will argue that if you've been down with JMT for a while then you should be used to that, and they're probably right, but I'm beginning to tire of the predictability of his cadence. No worries though, the content of his lyrics make up for it.
Servants In Heaven, Kings In Hell is one of the top ten '06 rap releases. Vinnie Paz and Stoupe have a consistant formula. No peaks and valleys, just steady, dependable production. With that being said, I think this is probably the first peak, because this is their best album in my humble opinion. I recommend adding this one to collection.
Standout Tracks: Heavy Metal Kings feat. Ill Bill, Shadow Business, Put 'Em In The Grave, Uncommon Valor feat. R.A. The Rugged Man (My Favorite), When All Light Dies, Black Winter Day, Razorblade Salvation, Outlive The War feat. Sean Price & Block McCloud, and Suicide

Great sound and great song!.......2007-05-19
I loved the song "A New Day" after hearing it on the radio. I tracked it down and ordered the CD. All the songs are terrific.
Along with the Good Vibrations are my favorites.......2007-05-15
Own it! It's all worth it!
"You are the new day" is my personal favorite song.
My dad loves it.......2007-02-13
If he likes it then I am happy. Not my cup of tea. I like the idea that there where some Beatles tunes. Dad is 57 I am 36 might be the difference in age. NOt sure. Just not my cup of tea
Great Album!.......2006-04-22
I was very amazed when I first heard this album. Their sound is like no other. They are so unique that you can't compare them to other acapella groups.
I can say that their sound is better than a mixed choir because even though the King's Singers is only composed of 6 members. Their sound volume can beat a 30 member choir due to the quality of their voice.
My favorite is "It Was Almost Like A Song" because of the countertenor's very light voice. The baritone part was also awesome as he dominated the scene when he took the melody.
Overall, great album. This has to be one of the King's Singers best albums released. All songs are great that you can't resist missing a moment on listening it.
Beautiful singing; clever arrangements.......2002-06-14
I have been a fan of The King's Singers since their debut recording thirty years ago. New Day is one of my favourite albums. It has the terrific optimistic song "New Day," but many other wonderful tracks.
"Can't Buy Me Love" is sung as if it had been written by one of the Renaissance madrigal writers when he was in a very good mood. There are other up tempo tracks like this one, including Abba's "Money, Money, Money" and "The Rhythm of Life," but the CD also includes some romantic, lush singing in songs such as "Three Times A Lady," "The Summer Knows" and "It Was Almost Like A Song."
The clever arrangement of Barry Manilow's "Could It Be Magic?" begins with an extract from a sombre Chopin Prelude in C minor.
Highly recommended.

ms sharon jones!.......2006-10-24
daaamn this is some true soul commin at ya now, i wasnt sure what to expect when i got this cd and i was not disapointed in the least, the more you listen to it the better it gets, ms jones has a great soulful voice and i dont think i need to tell you that the dap kings are some true funk crusaders.
all in all if youre a funk lover and wanna hear something fresh and soulful, pick this album up and get your boogie on, it never fails, you can never go wrong with some daptones pure soul excitement
amazing album.......2006-06-30
Dap Dippin has heart, soul and passion. Definitely a must buy for soul affectionatios...an album you can listen to from the start to finish. only one criticiscm; annoying wait for a "hidden" track at the end of the cd that doesn't hit until like 6-7 minutes into the album.
So funky it hurts..........2005-12-09
I bought this disc because of the reputation that Sharon Jones has for an incredible live show and for keeping funk alive, and I wasn't disappointed. This band is so great on this CD that I can't wait to catch them live. I also can't wait for the next party I go to where I can crank this. The Dap Kings remind me of the J.B.'s with their percussive rhythm guitar and groovin rhythm section. Sharon Jones really knows how to lay it down too; their version of Janet Jackson's "What Have You Done For Me Lately" is so funky it has to be heard to be believed. This is one of those CD's that I bought on a whim but has prompted me to buy everything this group has ever put out. This is the BEST CD I bought in 2005, and believe me, I bought a lot of them. This is one of the hardest hitting funk albums I've ever heard and one of my favorites of all time, right up there with Funkadelic, JB, and Curtis Mayfield. If you are a fan of funk music, get this CD and help Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings keep funk alive. You won't regret it.
The only thing better is a live show!.......2004-04-12
MISS Sharon Jones, Miss SHARON Jones! As soon as Binky Griptite introduces this diva of funk, my backend already starts doin' the dap dip.
Sharon Jones offers an energy on this funky album that is a phenomenon in itself; the deep groove of the Dap Kings keeps you moving the whole night.
While I whole-heartedly recommend the CD, nothing is better than a live show: Tour dates and locations are posted at www.daptonerecords.com.
Guaranteed heavy heavy HEAVY!.......2003-12-01
Vicki Anderson, Lyn Collins, Marva Whitney.
Is Sharon Jones part of this line of ladies that James Brown produced in the late 60s/ early 70s, and kept her stuff in the can for all these years?
NO!
She's out there cookin' NOW with a great band and recording in NYC for Daptone Records. If you're into any of the ladies mentioned above, or you've heard anything else on Daptone or Desco, YOU NEED THIS!

If there's such a thing as a world-class bar band, the former Rolling Stones bassist's Rhythm Kings qualify. Core members Albert Lee and Terry Taylor (guitar), Georgie Fame (keyboards), Graham Bond (drums), and, of course, Wyman himself, are among the Who's Who of British blues and R&B. No wonder the grooves flow so easily on these 15 tunes, which range from boogie and Delta classics to Motown soul to disco, even including a cover of the Beatles' "Taxman" delivered as a tribute to George Harrison, who played on the previous Rhythm Kings CD, 2001's Double Bill. Some interesting song choices and compelling vocal turns provide the highlights. The first is the neglected New Orleans gem "Down Home Girl," where Fame's molasses phrasing captures the laid-back pace of idealized life in the Crescent City. Beverly Skeet ignites "Cry Baby" in tribute to Janis Joplin, who immortalized the Garnet Mimms tune. And Ray Charles gets props with three numbers from his catalog, including a live recording of "Georgia on My Mind" that's beautifully rearranged for vocals and jazz guitar--the album's most adventurous turn. Wyman says he's ending the group's 16-year run here. If that's so, Just for a Thrill is a fitting swan song. --Ted Drozdowski

What a Great CD.......2006-09-05
I first saw this CD at the local county library--had no idea Bill Wyman had ever recorded anything outside of the Stones. What a great CD-lots of great Rhythym and Blues by primarily English artists and tributes to George Harrison, Ray Charles and Janis. Terrific listening!!
What an awesome CD............2006-06-22
Didn't know what Bill was up to solo lately - heard this funked out version of "Taxman" on Blues Radio Mobile and had to find out. Got the CD - wow. Continue to be blown away, every listen. Powerful, wonderful, toe tappin', finger snappin' - the vocals, the bass, the sax, the .... everything. Get this great collection of talent and enjoy. 5 Stars. Five.

Album Description
True to BBE's tradition of releasing compilations compiled by Hip Hop and Soul's most forward thinking producers, they have enlisted the Wu Tang Clan's RZA for the second installment of their new "Kings of" series. Along for the ride is the original "Legendary of Deep Funkster", DJ Keb Darge sharing duties on this 2xCD set of hard-to-find classics.
Keb Darge has been passionate about music since birth, in the 70's, he was a regular visitor to legendary `Northern Soul' (a term which is attributed to Godin) nights at The Wigan Casino, in the 80's he turned his attention to funk, and is solely responsible for the Deep Funk movement. RZA is a member of Wu Tang Clan, an actor (Coffee & Cigarettes, Rhyme & Reason) and film composer (Kill Bill Vol I, Ghost Dog -The Way of The Samurai).
The Kings of... series releases are homages, not to `lost' musical genres, but to music that `fits' within a specific genre, which may have either been forgotten, or may only be remembered for the first time. This compilation serves up some of the most badass funk tunes you've ever heard!
Customer Reviews:
The Kings of Funk Reign Supreme.......2005-04-21
The second installment of BBE's "Kings Of..." series is a fine piece of work. It compares in a lot of ways to Keb Darge's "Funk Spectrum Series". Similarly the album's tracks are split up between Darge and a legendary guest. The songs are always hard to find obscurities that never really got much play when they were released. He's a certified perfectionist when it comes to digging up "lost" tracks - just check his track record on Amazon.
In the past Darge has teamed up with renowned crate-diggers/producers DJ Shadow and Pete Rock. For "Kings Of Funk" Darge shares the spotlight with the RZA, who is known for his use of uncommon samples from both music and films in his Hip-Hop productions. While the average music fan might not associate RZA for his crate digging abilities and more so for his involvement in the Wu-Tang Clan, any true head has known he's got a phenomenal ear for music. His sampling skills involve tracks so rare and implicit that they become almost unrecognizable amidst the full production.
All right, enough about their credentials... without a doubt this is an excellent collection of tracks, mostly thanks to the RZA's selections. RZA's disc (the first one) might be the best out of any in the "Funk Spectrum" series or for that matter any funk/soul compilations in the BEE catalogue. Of his 40 mins of funk, 95% is outstanding. Hank Ballard's "From the Love Side" gets the album off to a funky James Brown esq. kick-start. RZA's disc contains four incredible instrumentals: "Jasper Country Men", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Climax", and the 8 min epic "Melting Pot". The latter two are definitely the best, just straight up funky jam sessions. Ken Boothe shows some reggae/funk that Bob Marely would be proud of on "Because I'm Black". A live version of Lyn Collins' "Do Your Thing" is simply powerful (blowing the more familiar Isaac Hayes version out of the water!). Ann Peebles brings it all to a tremendous close on a track that's just laced with famous hip-hop samples (I recognize the guitar part in particular, but I'm still trying to figure out from where, I'll put it up soon).
Really the only fault is Sly & The Family Stone's "Small Talk", mostly because it suffers from a loud crying baby throughout its entirety. But, that small misstep aside, the RZA's disc is a perfect collection of rare funk tracks.
(Note: The track listing above is incorrect. Neither Jimmy Ponder's "While My Guitar" & the Ohio Players "Singing In The Morning" appear on either disc.)
Keb Darge's disc is pretty good. Most of the tracks on this disc fall in the middle of the road - laid back and chill. There aren't as many simply stunning stand out tracks like RZA's disc, but it serves its purpose quite nicely and is easily enjoyable. A few do make you stop and listen up. Sharon Jones's swagger hits the funky groove of "Genuine" to perfection. Zebra's "Simple Song" and MFSB's menacing "Family Affair" are two excellent instrumentals (excluding four lines in the former). The album also ends on two superb soulful jams "Will You Love My Child" and the memorable lyrics of Dee Edwards on "(I Can) Deal With That". The rest of the second disc is by no means weak, but to Keb's credit, he's been putting together collections for a number of years and has probably used his best offerings long ago. The remaining four, satisfy but aren't unforgettable.
BEE went the extra step and did a tremendous job with packaging "Kings of Funk". It has excellent liner notes, with full descriptions of the tracks as well as Keb's personal opinions on each. The two disc package costs as if it was only one. Both hip-hop sample heads and funk/soul fans will love this collection. So, you're probably running out of reasons not to get this album. Don't resist too much, cause it's one of the best collections of rare funk/soul tracks out there.
The RZA's Disc: (9.5/10)
Keb Darge's Disc: (8/10)
Overall Package: (9/10)

First released in 1969, 'A Black Man's Soul' captured Ike Turner & His Kings of Rhythm at their funkiest. Armed with songs written by Turner, his St. Louis colleague Oliver Sain and more, Ike & His Kings combined R&B with funk, rock and gospel to create an album that shows off the wide spectrum of black music.
This release contains some of the finest and most sought-after examples of Ike Turner's funk artistry, including Grammy-nominated "Thinking Black" and DJ breakbeat jewel "Funky Mule."
1969 was a banner year for Ike & The Kings of Rhythm, as well as for Tina Turner. At the Grammy Awards, "Thinking Black" was nominated in the category of Best R&B Instrumental while Tina made the list of nominees for Best Female R&B Singer.
Included are all tracks from the original 1969 release, plus unreleased bonus tracks that offer a fine meal to any aficionado or an in-depth primer to those just discovering the globally reaching genius, funk, and soul of Ike Turner.
Customer Reviews:
Thank you for having this gem available again !.......2005-12-28
This must be one of the best Ike Turner albums ever. For the vinyl lovers ...Funky delicacies has it also available on LP.
A must for every fan of soul music.
Getting Nasty is the bomb track here........2005-12-16
Ike Turner is the Darth Vader of rock and roll. This mostly instrumental album is one of the more funk-focused of Ike's 50-plus year career.
"Getting Nasty" is the bomb - Billy Preston playing piano shortly before going to England to cut "Get Back" with the Beatles. Jurassic 5 has sampled this track. Check Ike out..and Tina is the female voice of true rock and roll.

Comfort food...............2004-04-09
This Cd gives us songs we have loved throughout our lives. Catchy tunes like "Mustang Sally" really set the mood for the fabulous instumentals and vocals. It is hard not to dance around your house while listening to these memorable songs. It's a happy "hip swinging","feet sliding" experience and the songs stick with you all day long.....I love this CD. It puts me in such a good mood so quickly !! Even my dog likes to dance around the house with me, he really digs it !! I suppose you could live without this CD, but why would you want to?
Swamp Pop Music at its Best.......2003-06-25
I would buy this again just for the first track. If you are looking for some truly great music to get your soul retuned, this is it. Trust me when I say it will become your most listened to cd in your collection if you are a fan of soul music. Try to see thse guys live if possible, they put on one hell of a show.

good compilation.......2006-08-11
Good overview of Ike, although missing some of the instrumental gems. Check out "I Like Ike" on Rhino as another good compilation.
Contrary to the implication of the "Editorial Review", Jackie Brenston was not only CREDITED with writing "Rocket 88", he actually DID write it, according to the folks still living in Clarksdale who knew both of them at the time.
Exellent cd of Ike Tuner & His Rhythm Kings.......2006-05-13
This is a great single disc collection of Ike Turner & His Rhythm Kings' brand of hot & sizzling rhythm & blues. From the huge hit Rocket 88 to the All The Blues medley, Ike's wild boogie piano playing and blues guitar is showcased well. This is one of those cd's you pop in your 50's custom/hotrod and blast while cruisin.' Great cd that jumps all the way through, and is great for jive dancers and swing dancers alike. Hot sizzling wild 50's r&b.
I wish I could rate this one higher........2003-06-13
Forget that this alblum is a good sampler of Ike Turner's best work. Forget that this is high quality release from Ace. The original version of Rocket 88 is included here! The song, for those of you that don't know is, THE mother of all R&B songs. If I have a favorite song - "rocket 88" is it. It is the epitome of the 50's R&B feel- drinking, women.. and that's not all...it *is* afterall, a song about a car! What makes this song so special is the feel. The unique guitar sound was achived form stuffing a damaged guitar amplifier full of paper. The result was the *first* example of distortion. Mix that with some killer tenor sax and some tough-guy lyrics, and you have one of the most historically important and hardest rocking songs of all time. Some claim "Rocket" to be the first Rock n' Roll song. Other great songs include: 'All the blues all the time' A medley in which Ike's tearin' it up on some popular blues riffs of the day. In most cases better guitar work than the original song!, 'Night Howler' A lawdy miss clawdy spin off...and a good one too!, 'I Ain't Drunk', 'Nobody Wants Me' in the tradition of fats domino's 'nobody loves me'
Rocket 88 alone, make this worth picking up. This alblum is the prize of my collection.
