Customer Reviews:
Great CD for little ones!.......2007-07-29
I've boughts lots of so-so to terrible CDs for my baby. So, this one was a nice surprise. My daughter (10 month old) loves the music and so do my husband and I. Some of the songs aren't done in the traditional way, but that keeps it fresh.
Mommy, Daddy, & Daughter Love this CD.......2007-07-16
Our two-year old dances to the music and is learning the words to these songs. The voices and music are adorable, and the songs really come to life. The arrangements are catchy. I find myself, my husband, and my daughter singing or humming the songs all the time.
Fabulous.......2007-05-25
Great Music for Children. All the favorite songs we all remember and can sing along. Songs are done well. Children (and adults) all love this tape!
Great collection of favorites, sing along!.......2007-05-21
I love this album because it's chock full of childhood favorites and I can sing along and be silly with my 6-month old. I can't wait until she can sing along too!
Best children's CD.......2007-05-13
All the songs are sung with an original twist. My ten month old daughter loves listening to this in the car (which means I don't have to sing Itsy, Bitsy Spider 50 times in a row) and it helped me learn lots of different songs quickly. I would buy this CD as a present for all my friends with young kids.

Customer Reviews:
Another wonderful Susie Tallman CD!.......2007-06-26
I purchased this CD after absolutely loving her Children's Songs CD. Her music is so much fun to sing, sway, and dance to. I own 4 of her CD's and enjoy them all for different reasons. They are arranged and performed beautifully. It was a delightful surprise to find music for our baby that my husband and I love too! Susie's music totally relaxes our son when he is upset. It is impossible to be in a bad mood when you turn it on! It will always be included in baby shower gifts from now on.

Not as good as her other CDs.......2007-05-13
We love Susie Tallman's "Children's Songs, A Collection of Childhood Favorites" CD, so we ordered this one. It's not as good. The second half of the CD is basically people reading some nursery rhymes, not too original.
One of the best children's cds ever!.......2007-05-11
I checked this cd out from the library to play at my pre-school music class that I teach each week. I loved it from the first song because of all the different instruments used for background music, and then when I got to the rap song "Hickory Dickory Dock" I was laughing out loud. My kids in my class just loved it. I just bought the cd so I can play it for my own children and my grandkids.
LOVE LOVE this CD.......2007-01-05
Susie Tallman does a great job with this CD, my husband and I find ourselfves singing these songs way after the CD has been off.

review written by dad: He likes both of them (Children's Songs, A Collection of Childhood Favorites). We dance and sing to them. They are not really falling asleep cd's. I use them after naps and they play a role in our loosely structured playtime.

Album Description
Lullabies for Sleepy Eyes is a diverse 16-song collection offering folk-renditions of lullabies from Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Yiddish, French and Australian traditions, among others. Although the lullabies are aimed for children ages one to five, the familiar, soft melodies work wonderfully for infants as well. With this album, Vocalist Susie Tallman provides a distinct sound much different from other children's albums; Lullabies for Sleepy Eyes is not tinny and sparkly but warm, clear, and textured gentle music that will link parent and child in the extraordinary way that only a lullaby can.
Customer Reviews:
Best Baby Bedtime helper ever.......2006-11-06
This cd is beautiful and includes unique versions of some favorite lullabies as well as some I'd never heard before. Susie Tallman's voice is enchanting, and the songs are not in any way annoying if the melodies get caught up in your head (some other cds are relentless!). I play the music while my baby and I wind down before she goes to bed and it works like a charm!
Beatiful Classic.......2005-10-20
Lullabies for Sleepy Eyes is another one of Susie Tallman's classics. Her beautiful voice brings out the best in these classic lullaby tunes. Whether you are trying to put your child to sleep in the car or at home, it is a must. This is a staple when you have small children. Sit back, relax and enjoy...
Something different for your lullaby collection..........2005-08-29
This is a GREAT Cd to add to your lullaby collection - the arrangements & songs are not what you find on your typical lullaby cds, and that is refreshing especially when you have an extensive lullaby collection such as I do! My husband is Irish, and there are several Irish songs on the CD that we love. My baby calms right down when I rock her to this cd - I got it as a gift and think it would be a great gift for other mothers/babies. Susie did an excellent job - highly recommend!! Another one you'd probably like is Susie's "Lullaby Themes for Sleepy Dreams."
Soothing sounds and voice but annoyed me.......2005-06-12
Purchased at recommendation of a parenting magazine and the 2 reviews on line. I can see how the music and the singer's voice would be soothing for a baby, but frankly, her voice annoyed me. Was a little too syrupy and sing-songy for me. I'd fall asleep easier to some old Enya or just instrumental versions of this, I think. Just my personal opinion.
What a fabulous find!.......2005-06-02
I recently came across this CD in a boutique baby shop and immediately decided to buy it because I'm always looking for more lullaby albums. I'm so glad I happened to find this! I've always loved "Suo Gan", so I was absolutely enchanted to hear Susie Tallman's version. I always want to hang out in my daughter's room after she's asleep just to listen to this. The song versions are slightly different from the original arrangements, but are absolutely soothing.

Customer Reviews:
Not the worst I've heard.......2007-08-07
The woman's voice is slightly irritating and the songs don't flow well with each other when you play the whole cd through
Great for little ones.......2007-03-30
My two month old loves this music whenever I put it on she calms down.Very soothing and relaxing for mom too.
Leave the singing to Susie.......2006-08-29
Since Susie Tallman's Classic Nursery Rhymes has been such a hit with every little one I know, I got this CD. It's simply beautiful and a great mix with the one I have. This CD is for when you're all sung out, it's quiet time and the lights are dimmed. My voice is so awful and hers is so amazing, singing along wasn't really an option, but at least I could finally learn all the words since they're conveniently included in the packaging.
I definitely recommend Lullaby Themes - save your voice and let Susie put your kid to sleep!
Lullaby Themes for Sleepy Dreams.......2006-03-05
I got this CD for my kids who are 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. They wanted to listen to only a couple of songs in this album. So I would have to play only those songs in the repeat mode. Whether they enjoyed all the songs or not, it did help them to go to sleep without me being around.
Great!!!.......2005-12-27
Miss Tallman has great passion for her work and she has produced a collection of soothing titles for little ones!

Album Description
"These award-winning recordings introduce infants (and up) to classical music (and other genres) and a variety of instruments--with a goal of soothing and calming." -- METRO PARENT
"Susie Tallman's strong, clear voice and playful arrangements ... make magic. The variety of songs and instruments will keep repeated listenings from wearing out adult ears." -- SACREMENTO BEE
"Augment your young child's reading skills with multiple award-winning music CDs produced by Albuquerque's Rock Me Baby Records. All four CDs feature company founder Susie Tallman, who graduated from UCLA with a degree in voice performance (and had even performed in Carnegie Hall), and a number of accomplished backup musicians. Providing parents with a way to carry on the time-honored tradition of nursery rhymes and lullabies, the CDs are so masterfully done they almost made this reviewer want to be a child again." -- abqARTS
Another stellar release from award-winning children's artist Susie Tallman. Traditional songs with new, fun twists! Twenty-six songs, sixty-two minutes, lyrics included. Produced by Susie Tallman, Peter Farnan, and Mark O'Connor.
Customer Reviews:
Great CD for the Summer.......2007-06-29
We originally got hooked on Susie Tallman's lullaby CDs, but are equally pleased by her more upbeat CDs, especially as our daughter gets older. "Let's Go!" is no exception. This is one the whole family can enjoy. (It's also makes a great gift for the Summer vacation season.)
parent .......2007-06-07
My children love all of her music/CD's. We got the first 2 as gifts. It's fun for everyone to listen to and the vocals are great (adults and children). I like the updated versions and my children have learned all of the songs. It's something we don't mind listening to in the car and singing along with as we go.
So Much Fun!.......2007-02-15
My 2 and 4 year old girls get excited when they hear the first song on "Let's Go!" In almost no time, they've learned all the songs and love to sing along with Susie Tallman and Friends. Susie's done it again! This is a great compilation of clever songs that help make that potentially prickly "toddler drive time" a pleasure. I would recommend this to anyone with a sense of fun.

Album Description
Mac Davis, who penned the Elvis hit "In the Ghetto", was asked by a record exec to write another song with a strong musical "hook." The result--"Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me"--went to #1 (and platinum) and launched Davis on a successful recording, TV and movie career. The Baby album and its successful follow-up are included here.
Customer Reviews:
Good Old Mac!.......2006-02-22
Reminds me of the good old days when my kids were growing up. Great great great!
STOP AND SMELL THE HOOKS!.......2005-12-24
MAC DAVIS-BABY DON'T GET HOOKED ON ME/STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES: This "two-fer" CD (plus bonus tracks, no less) combines a pair of the Lubbock, Texas songwriter/singer's best known albums, the title tracks of each representing two of his biggest hits. Amounting to a better retrospective than his official "Greatest Hits" (at least, after you separate the wheat from the chaff), the four tacked on cuts alone include the smug novelty singalong IT'S HARD TO BE HUMBLE (a pretty fair summary of Davis' often tongue in cheek composing style), country charter TEXAS IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR, and the autobiographical ROCK N' ROLL I GAVE YOU ALL THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE. All of these fine "Lost 45s" are nearly impossible to find nowadays. Among the twenty other songs here, you get the number one anti-commitment classic BABY DON'T GET HOOKED ON ME, the seductive slices NAUGHTY GIRL and ONE HELL OF A WOMAN, and the gospel-colored STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES. All make for guilty pleasure listening, even if there are sometimes long stretches of audio Nutri Sweet in between. When Davis writes a good'un (Kenny Rogers, Elvis, and Gallery all did fine by his SOMETHIN'S BURNIN', IN THE GHETTO, and I BELIEVE IN MUSIC respectively), everything is right in pop music circles. I suggest you do what I did---burn your own customized anthology from the dozen or so pop picks here, and leave that other album's worth of pablum for the elevators and dentist offices. RATING: FOUR HOOKS
Classic.......2005-09-24
I've been looking for "Stop and Smell the Roses" ever since my cassette tape bit the dust 3 years ago. All the songs I grew up to in a better quality. I've even tried to find MP3 downloads for these songs and couldn't! I'm so relieved I finally got what I've been searching so long for.
How Nice To Be A Regular Member of the Public..........2003-03-15
"Poor boy don't need 'lectronics to make no Rock 'n Roll...Poor boy got Boogie-Woogie born right in his soul..." and the lyrics (from "Poor Boy Boogie") goes to tell us that you'd only need sticks, spoons and friends to make good music. This was in the early 70's...when most of us young folks were listening to heavy electrified UNDERGROUND!...But (believe it or not) Mac Davis could, at that time, divert our attention from Henrix and Grand Funk Railroad to his kind of music....Good deep voice, catchy tunes and the lyrics made us feel that, well, we belonged! With the exemption of "Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me" which is everybody's favourite...nice melody....but the words can be dangerous....just don't sing it to your sweetheart....! Get this CD! These songs will last for many years to come...good to listen to while drivin' too!
Great songs by a GREAT entertainer.......2002-09-22
One of the best performers ever. A note for the person who wondered why "Convoy and Rhinestone Cowboy" are missing from the album. Convoy was done by C.W. McCall, and Rhinestone Cowboy was done by Glen Campbell. They shouldn't be on this one!

Classical Baby from Rock Me Baby Records, introduces beautiful, soothing melodies to both parent & child, by some of the most important classical composers including, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Dvorak and Brahms. Rock Me Baby Records has been producing lullabies, nursery rhymes & childrens songs since 1999. As a classical trained singer from UCLA, the New England Conservatory of Music, and the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Susie Tallman wanted to provide a CD of classical music for her audience of parents who are interested in exposing their children to a wide variety of music in order to calm & soothe their children as well as educate; by exposing the parent & child to various languages (German, French, Italian, Latin, Czech, Dutch) and instrumentations (string quartet, piano, harp, choir, organ).
Customer Reviews:
Exceptional melodies .......2006-06-28
Not only are the melodies absolutely beautiful, but each song that is printed in the coverlet has an explanation of the song's origins. So interesting as a parent to read this! My baby enjoys these songs when she's having quiet play or when she is ready to go to sleep. Parents and babies will truly love this CD!
Simply beautiful singing.......2005-12-12
Truly beautiful, truly relaxing this cd brings something new to the classical baby genre: beautiful voices. Classical Baby stands out! I wouldn't be surprised if this cd wins even more awards than all of Susie Tallman's other great releases. My kids and I love listening to this sublime cd!
WOW!!!!.......2005-10-21
Susie Tallman's Classical Baby is a WOW!! Who needs 'Baby Mozart" when you have this unique blend of classicals? Susie's perfect vocals are in this cd to soothe and calm at any time.... even the toughest of child temperments. One of my favorites is the Ave Maria. All 4 of my children (ages 5,6,8,9) all calm down when I play this cd. Gather around and just let your ears and mind relax and drift. Thank you, Susie, for creating another classic.
Classical Melodies Delight and Soothe!.......2005-10-21
This is a beautiful, very classy and well-done CD! The voices are lovely and I was very excited to find a CD of "Classical Music and Lullabies" for children that uses real instruments rather than synthesizers. It is nice having the few instrumental songs along with the voices to complete the album which is over 60 minutes long--gorgeous. This will be our new baby gift.
Thank you Susie and Kathleen! Jackson, stay at home dad of Steve

Rock Me Baby - By Laura Lambert , Maidstone Kent UK.......2006-02-28
I must admit the second album released by David Cassidy "Rock Me Baby" has got a more grittier feel to it and shows off David's voice range. It amazes me that he can go from singing a rocking song like the title track "Rock Me Baby" to the lovely ballads which are on the album. My favourite tracks on the album are most certainly the title track and Lonely Too Long, in fact I like all the tracks on this album and I can't wait to purchase more of DC's albums in the future, when money permits it.
As someone who has rediscovered David Cassidy I must of been mad not to buy this album when it came out in the seventies, but now I know what I missed in the seventies. It goes to show what a vast range that DC had and in fact still has.
David Cassidy Breakaway Image.......2005-03-08
I have to admit that David Cassidy's solo LPs or recordings with the Partridge Family, for which he is best known, was immediately dismissed in the 70s as prefab fluff or bubblegum music. By the time he recorded "Rock Me Baby", Cassidy was already jaded by the teenybopper image he had been crowned with two years prior. In an earnest attempt to have his rock peers see him as something else but a piece of pre-teen marketed meat, Cassidy tried to break the mold with this 1972 gem. The "album" opens with wailing guitars on the title track "Rock Me Baby" and Cassidy's trademark smokey vocals. The song was an earnest sexual song and a far cry from his Partridge roots. Seemingly strange, considering his earlier protests of speaking a verse in the Partridge's "Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted" a song that Cassidy loathed, here again is a speaking part that was loaded with sexual innuendo. A great lead in track that goes right into a great version of the Rascal's "Lonely To Long". Next is a smokey ballad "Two Time Loser" that was written by Cassidy himself and although it shows great maturity it still mirrors the teenage angst that the Partridge tunes were already pushing by this time. The fourth track is the highly sexually charged "Warm My Soul" originally slated to be a Partridge tune for the "Up To Date" LP but was scrapped as being too "sexual" for a preteen LP. Cassidy really vamps up this number. Following "Soul" comes another Cassidy co-penned tune called "Some Kind Of A Summer" which sounds so autobiographical that Cassidy could have led into a storyteller type status well kept by future artists at that time like Dan Fogelberg and Harry Chapin. In my own humble opinion, Cassidy should have written many more songs himself whereas this LP grandly showcases his talent and earned him some of the respect he richly deserved when the LP was released. Also another great Oh No No Way rounds out the LPs first side. "Song For A Rainy Day" is yet another Cassidy written tune co-penned with the famous in her own right, Kim Carnes one of Cassidy's background singers at the time. This CD is jam packed with stellar ballads and is well worth a listen. Cassidy had turned a corner with this collection and proved he was more than a "pretty face". A validly serious attempt at what he did best. Other great ballads abound with the beautiful lilting "Soft As A Summer Shower" "Go Now" and "Song Of Love" and Cassidy sings each with an overwhelming sense of pride and deservedly so. This is undoubtably David Cassidy at one of his finest moments! The ballad "How Can I Be Sure" was released a single and peaked on the Billboard charts at #25. It is easy to see on one listen how this was NOT the only tune that should have been released as a single and one would wonder why Bell/Arista wasn't smart enough to see this. It is obvious that they didn't see David as the hot commodity he was outside the Partridge Family considering they could not release any compliation of David's material without including his Partridge tunes. Yes, David IS one of the bubblegum years survivors and is carrying on a still hot career and this CD is positive proof of the reason why. One of David's undeniably best solo projects for Bell/Arista records. Don't pass this one over! It is worth every penny of it's purchase price and more, more so due o the brilliant liner notes included by a foremost Cassidy historian, Lisa Sutton! Rock on, David!
'Rock Me, Baby' by David Cassidy.......2005-02-23
I love this album because it is a little different than his other albums in the way that there is more piano in the songs. True, I am more partial to piano than keyboards, and while there is piano on his other albums, it is more prominent on this album. I wish David would do an album today with lots of piano on it like this one. It was his second album and is a lot different than his Cherish album, and I think Cassidy fans will be pleasantly surprised. I wish he would go back to the piano every now and again at his concerts. The piano lets him show off his voice more.
still good in 2003, still listening to it,.......2003-12-19
this is one of his top 2 records , the other being
cherish' the songs are good , his voice is at his best
and still after all these yrs they still sound brand
new. From the slow one's to the fast one's this is a
great record, 'oh no no ' is one song that sticks out
that highlites his singing and to this day his voice
has been underrated, 'how can I be sure' is a great song
that David has made his own song even tho he didnt write
it.'Song for a rainy day' is great song that just takes
you to that moment and reminds you of your lost love,
This record was released in 1972, here it is 2003 and he
is still going strong with a few bumps in the road but
who has'nt!,this is a record to put on and drink some wine and remember just how much you love your wife or girlfriend.
Another fabulous SOLO album.......2003-06-02
Released in late 1972, David Cassidyýs second solo had a slight mature approach than CHERISH, yet both are brilliant. Like a lot of Davidýs Albums he always have different styles of songs whether up-tempo beat or ballads. And he polishes them off well. Highlights for me are ýHow Can I Be Sureý (A Number 1 here in the UK back in 1972) ýTwo Time Loserý (What an amazing track!) ýSoft As A Summer Showerý and ýSong Of Loveý.
The sound quality is really outstanding. The master source was probably in pristine condition. Also released are The Partridge Family CDs ýCROSSWORD PUZZLEý and ýSHOPPING BAGý at the same time as ýROCK ME BABYý. News on certain Partridge/Cassidy websites are that ýBULLETINý BOARDý and ýUNRELEASE SONGSý may be due out sometime this year and possibly the rest of the Davidýs solo albums by ARISTA; I wonder if that also includes a reissue of the ýROMANCEý CD.
Itýs fantastic that in recent years David Cassidy/Partridge Family albums are NOW being RELEASE on CD. It is way long overdue considering these albums have not been available for many, many years perhaps since the vinyl age!!
If you like David Cassidy material buy this one, you will not be disappointed!

Customer Reviews:
A Good CD.......2006-03-25
I like this CD. this CD is a favorite, assuming that the songs on it are identical to the hit 45s and not some altered in anyway rerecording. Howed we ever get this way and so good together are hard to find on a CD.
Some are - some are not!.......2005-09-08
First bought one here - a "Like new" CDR then bought a real CD from Amazon.ca
Is it real?.......2005-09-04
With packaging so cheap you'd doubt that it was issued via reputable channels, this collection does a great job of rounding up unheard, forgotten or neglected tracks (and the obligatory "Rock Me Gently") by a great "singles" artist. The sound quality could be better and I'd love to have had the b-side of the Red Bird 45 included, this is the best compilation to date.
Hard to find but worth the trouble.......2005-09-02
Truly a great package but rarely available here - look hard enough and you'll find it on Amazon.ca.
Songs Sound As Fantastic Today As They Did Years Ago !.......2005-07-22
In the 1960s there was plenty of music styles that appealed to people young and old alike. There was Bubblegum, country, rock, pop, r&b, psychedelic, Motown, soul, etc. As an enthusiastic youngster I could always find music that was very entertaining to me and at any givin time I loved it all and still do. Andy Kim was one of my favorite artists and I kept up with him until the mid 70s. As an old fan of his I can say it was and still is a lot of fun. He eventually changed his name to Barron Longfellow a short time later and I wasn't even aware of that until I read the reviews here at Amazon.
Many years have gone by since, Rock Me Gently, so my memory wasn't very good because my old vinyls have been long gone but I got refreshed with the reviewers help and this nice, Reflections; The Best Of Andy Kim, CD. Sound quality wise I can't give you comparisons between this Disc and the, Andy Kim; Baby I Love You; Greatest Hits, Disc because I don't own the latter one however if you look at the track listing of this, Reflections, CD you will see that this one has the goods and is superior. Not only does this Disc have 1974s, Rock Me Gently, but it also has one of the premier love songs of all time being, Baby I Love You, from 1969, Shoot Em Up Baby, from 1968 and, Be My Baby, from 1970. All four of those songs were chart smashes and all four of those songs are on the, Baby I Love You; Greatest Hits, Disc but where this, Reflections; The Best Of Andy Kim; Disc is amazing is that it also has the excellent songs, How'd We Ever Get This Way, Rainbow Ride, the heartfelt, Tricia Tell Your Daddy, So Good Together, A Friend In The City, It's Your Life, I've Been Moved, the inspirational, Who Has The Answers, and the gorgeous, I Wish I Were, and none of the last nine tunes I listed are on the, Baby I Love You; Greatest Hits, CD and they were ALL very popular. Andy Kim and/or Barron Longfellow fans will remember most if not all of the songs I listed above and as for me I remembered nineteen of them on this Disc. All I had to do was listen to them one time and they all came back to me and I'm sure they will to several of you too. This Disc has twenty five great songs for your listening pleasure including six nice tunes by him as Barron Longfellow from the 1980s and one of them is, Sugar Sugar. (Remember The Archies) Yes; he helped write that song too although he didn't sing it for The Archies but he sings his own version here.
The sound quality is good on this CD and I know his twenty five songs on this Disc are a piece of the past (from 1963 thru 1984) but they all are very good and I still think they appeal to people young and old alike. Also this CD seems to be pretty rare so if you are looking for a good, Best Of, compilation by him; this is it.....Purchase it while you still can.
