This is a must have CD for Christian families. We play this CD over and over on long car rides and sing and praise the Lord. Even the little ones know the words to the songs by heart now.

I bought this CD because there were a couple of songs on it that we sing in our Church that I really liked and have to say that I received it on Friday and it is now Thursday and I have not stopped listening to it. It is playing at work, in my car, I am singing along with it and singing the songs alone without it. I love love love it. I have also recommended it to a couple of co-workers. I HIGHLY recommend it to you.

This truly is the best Christian music collection I own. If I could only have one Album to listen to, this would be the one (it is actually a 2 CD Set). I have purchased 4 copies to give away and share this inspiring collection with others. I only take time to rate things that stand out, and this does! All the finest ingredients of rock, country, blues, and jazz blended into a down-home gumbo as only The (original) Marshall Tucker Band could do it! The remastered series sounds superb audibly, and the packaging is beautifully restored- complete with historic photos and interesting liner notes. The Marshall Tucker Band remastered recordings of the original band- "Self Titled" through "Tenth"- are well worth the investment.

This is a great album..No doubt their best. The musicianship is simply kick---.I'll be Loving You is such a jammer. Love is a Mystery has such a great bass line,Tommy Caldwell shows he is a bass player to be reckoned with.. Asking too Much of You is the vocal highlight, Doug Grays vocals are just right and filled with such emotion!!No letdowns here, all the songs are just great.This album is a must..weather your a Tucker fan or not.This album cooks..enjoy

WOW...Marshall Tucker at it's finest! Finding this title was fantastic. Listening to it took me places in my past that are things I never want to forget! "Dream Lover" is SUCH a GOOD song...I can identify with the lyrics! If you are a Marshall Tucker fan and don't have this title, get it now!

Marshall Tucker continue their winning streak with TOGETHER FOREVER, yet another great album. If I met a really cute girl, I'd ask her for a dance to this one, regardless of whether or not she fit that "little mold" that everyone thinks she should. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of much of the work the band put out from 1984-2000. Most of their albums had their great moments, but if a girl chose not to dance with me to an entire album from the 1984-2000 period, after all but two of the surviving founders left, I'd thank her by getting her some new makeup and new perfume. However, here it seemed that the band could go on forever as they were. If you love the Allman Brothers Band, the Outlaws, or Lynyrd Skynyrd, you'll love this one.

This collection is absolutely wonderful. Whether you listen to this in your room or in your car you will feel uplifted and relaxed after listening to this album. Both the Live and Studio CD's are well balanced with a variety of songs and artists. This makes a great gift for others. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Released in August of 2000, this 2-CD disc contains some of the best praise & worship songs written to date. Compiled by various artists, including SONICFLOOd, Matt Redman, Delirious?, and Passion, this compilation has one studio recorded disc and one live disc.

Because of the nature that is praise & worship music, the live disc is, by default, the better of the two discs (though I actually like more of the songs on the first disc).

If you are looking for a praise & worship album you can use at home to help you to sing to the Lord, this compilation is one of the best you can get.

Light hearted, fun, poignant, charming. Highly recommend........1999-04-01

Including songs from the light hearted and fun to the poignant, this CD is a treasure that should not be missed by those loving the classic Broadway musical sound. Two voices (Karen Ziemba, currently Roxie Hart in Chicago, and David Garrison, currently in Titanic) and a Steinway piano partner in this recording, and the blend of Ziemba's and Garrison's voices is perfect. The versatility of Ziemba's voice throughout this recording is most impressive, In addition to being an extraordinary dancer, Ziemba once again proves herself an exceptional singer. Garrison is terrific as well. If you like "darker" musicals, avoid this. But if you want to hear an up-tempo musical score that will make you tap your toes and if you want to hear two voices that can be listened to again and again with the same initial pleasure, get this recording.

Last November Steve Gadd and Chuck Mangione reserved the month of March, 1994 to co-produce "The Hat's Back" album - (Chuck's first in several years).

They began to weave this project into their already hectic schedules. The holidays, family responsibilities and two diverse performing itineraries somehow allowed sufficient time to select material and develop a feel for the music.

At Steve's suggestion, they went into the studio one February night to layout a musical roadmap of the new material. The plan was to record Chuck's acoustic piano and Steve's drums first and then lay Chuck's flugelhorn/trumpet part on top of this.

After waiting a couple hours for some technical difficulties to be ironed out, Larry Swist turned "The Machine" on and miraculously Together Forever was born.

Between midnight and 5:00 A.M.; DizzyMiles (Hat's Back version), Tears In Heaven, Aldovio, I''ve Got a Crush, Santa Nimpha, Dove Talk, and Slo Ro were recorded in their entirety and appear on this album exactly as they were performed that night.

In fact, these tracks became the foundation of The Hat's Back album with horns, strings, guitars, bass, keyboards, vocals, etc. added to the original tracks.

Her Best.......2006-05-11

Lisette Melendez had an unexpected crossover hit when her freestyle jam, "Together Forever," produced by Carlos "After Dark Berrios," became a top-40 pop hit in the spring of 1991. That now-classic, along with Corina's "Temptation" (also produced by Berrios, and released in the same time frame), helped define a new direction for the freestyle sub-genre coming out of the 80's. In fact, Melendez had been working with Berrios for several years at this point: she sang lead on two singles released under the moniker "Only in the Dark" released in the late 80's!

Melendez's debut set will be a real pleaser for any devoted freestyle fans. It's practically a non-stop freestyle party, with jam after jam of the "After Dark" sound bolstered by her sassy and spirited vocals. What sets her apart from many other vocalists of the genre that made it to the pop charts is the strength of her Spanish accent -- which is a welcome treat. She sounds soulful and un-Americanized. Perhaps most surprising are the two ballads that close the album: "A Place for You," a very moving pop number; and "Remember the Rain," a moody, affecting renditiion of the Vibrations' 1968 soul classic. Melendez dismisses any notions of her as a limited studio singer with her memorable performances on these tunes.

An essential piece for any dedicated fans of freestyle or early-90's pop/dance.

A very good album. Lisette shows much emotion and a very good singing voice. The album includes hits like "He's my baby now" and "Holding on". If you want to try out good Latin freestyle, this is it. Better than J.Lo or Lisa Lisa.

Latin Freestyle at its Best.......2001-12-29

Lisette Melendez is the down-to-earth Latina that Jennifer Lopez can only dream to become. Not only is Liestte blessed with such a great voice, but her producers keep coming at you with beats and grooves that never lack spark or attitude. "A Day in My Life Without You," "Together Forever," and "He's My Baby Now" are all verified dance-floor gems that, say, "Love Don't Cost a Thing" couldn't hold a candle to. If there is any justice, Lisette will come back strong and give us once again the true Latin flava we're really craving for.

A Classic cd from a Soulful Freestyle Diva.......2000-03-13

This cd gave me the shivers. Not in a bad way but in the fact that Lisette has such a deep emotional voice that really hits hard when listening to each and every song. Solid catchy tracks on the entire cd...especially Stranger In my House of LOve, Never Say Never, Please Please Me, and He's My Baby Now. This cd is a keeper and one that can be listened to over and over without ever losing interest. You won't be disappointed.

A FUN BALLET WITH QUITE A HISTORY!.......2000-01-30

It can be said that La Sylphide (Sylfiden as the Danes call it, was premiered by the Royal Danish Ballet in 1836), composed by Herman Severin Lovenskiold and choreographed by Bournonville, is the earliest piece of ballet music from the Romantic period that has been recorded. However, an ealier version of the same ballet by a different composer (Schneitzhoeffer)--no recordings--and choreographer has been revived by the Paris Ballet (Who knows how faithful it is to the original!). La Sylphide is a story about a female spirit, called the Sylphide, who falls in love with a young man; he too falls in love with her. But the little courtship is to be cut short by a witch. The fairy tale ends with the death of the Sylphide. The star ballerina of the first version of La Sylphide was Marie Taglioni, who was forever associated with the beginning of the Romantic ballet. Now we come to the version recorded on this CD. First, a little history. After the Danish choreographer, August Bournonville, saw Marie Taglioni dance in the role of the Sylphide at the Paris Opera, he wanted to stage his own production of the ballet. But first, he had to purchase the rights for using the score (by Schneitzhoeffer), but to his disappointment, it was too expensive. Consequently, he decided to have entirely new music written. And the man to accomplish this was Lovenskiold. So successful was this second version that the complete Bournonville choreography along with Lovenskiold's score are still used today by the Royal Danish Ballet. This is a superb "complete" performance by the Danish Radio Sinfoniette. The sound is clear and rich! Damgaard who has been the chief conductor at the Royal Danish Theatre since 1990 conducts beautifully. Under his baton, the orchestra makes the music sound alive and poignant. For those who are interested in ballets or just a great fairy tale, I highly recommend they get this CD. The only alternative recording is the one on Chandos, performed by the Royal Danish Orchestra (conducted by Garforth). It is also excellently performed (Read my review for that recording!). That CD contains an extra number (a pas de deux, which is not ever played as part of the complete ballet), which is a delight to hear! The CPO version, however, contains James' Act 1 solo, which is not in the Chandos recording. If you're a completist, get both!

Excellent recording of Lovenskiold 's Ballet.......1999-10-26

It is a beatiful recording of the first romantic ballet, who has a precursor on Taglioni's Sylphide (which can be appreciate on video recording by Ghislene Thesmar interpretation with the corps of Opera Paris Ballet, music by Scheneihoffer,available at amazon.com). The perfomance of Lovenskiold partiture by the Danish Radio Simfonieta conducted by Daamgaardt is perfect, without affectation and it reach the maximum climax on second act. I bought this record because I listen on the radio the overture and the introduction of the first act, which inmediately decided me to find out and bought this version. There is only a criticism to the booknote which is included on the CD. Taglioni 's Sylphide has been succesfull performed in our century, on the seventies by a reconstruction taken on by Pierre Lacotte and interpreted by Ghislaine Thesmar. Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires offer this version on 1974 on stage and it was suscefull received at Argentine and many great Argentine Ballerinas interpreted the beautiful role of the light Sylphide.
