This is an excellent CD by one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time. This cd is so underated it's unbelievable. Every song on hear is good with the exception of the "ok" track "Here to Eternity".......but the rest is either good or great. The great songs are "Another Heartache", "Red Hot in black", "Love Touch", "In my own Crazy way", "Every Beat of my heart" and who could forget the superb "Ten days of rain". This album goes great with Rod's other excellent 80's cd "Out of Order" so BUY THIS ONE and listen to both cd's back to back and have yourself a little Rod marathon. He's great and this CD is great if you don't have it BUY IT!!!!!!!!!

the best.......2002-04-16

This is the ultimate Rod Stewart CD. It is so underrated that it very often goes unnoticed but has become my favorite Rod Stewart Cd of all time.....Goes beyond Rod's usual songs and captures his creativity at a higher level. It is a must have for any Rod fan.

A great record........2000-12-28

I got this record when it first came out,having been a life long fan of Stewart and I was not disappointed. The first song is called "Here to Eternity" and is nothing short of great. The "Legal Eagles" theme "Love Touch" is also one to take note of, as is "10 Days of Rain." basically this was just a great record that I would highly recommend.

Spare This Rod.......2000-09-15

A rather soulless excursion by one of rock's greatest and most recognizable vocalists. Rudderless after bland, synth-laden efforts like "Body Wishes" and "Absolutely Live", these recordings present Stewart as an irrelevant 80's party dad. "Who's Gonna Take Me Home" and "A Night Like This" would sound embarrasing coming from the larynx of a teenager; it's hard to believe this is the same guy who, 12 years earlier, imbued "Maggie May", "I'm Losin' You" and "Cindy Incidentally" with such a common man sensibility. The worst example is "Red Hot in Black", a song Stewart's recorded at least 7 times with different lyrics, but the same theme. The title track and "Ten Days of Rain" do save things a bit, but remember, to get to those tracks, you'll have to endure "Love Touch". Listening to this, one wishes Rod would toss out the synthesizers and studio gimmicks, along with the musical odes to leggy blondes, and get back to what he does best-- sing songs that resonate with the common person. (NOTE: Album was entitled simply "Rod Stewart" in America; it is now out of print in the USA)

This bargain collection of showtunes is highlighted by the composition of Kurt Weill and the uniquely rolling tongue of Colette Lyons. I have a complaint about this compilation. It includes "Ol' Man River", but it excludes Al Jolson's rendition of "Ol' Man River." Otherwise, this collection gives you ample bang for your buck.

What a shame... .......2006-12-08

It is such a shame that this wasn't released in the United States. Sure, it's not groundbreaking or anything, but it is a solid R&B album. After a so-so debut and a switch of record labels, Sharissa finds her niche here without the "queen of the ghetto" persona. Every song is at least decent. If you just want to download the best songs: "In Love With A Thug," "I Got Love," "I'm Through" and "Sumthin'." But if you can find this at a reasonable price for you, I would recommend buying it.

Desrerves a US Release.......2006-10-21

"untitled" by Sharissa is the Japan release of her 2nd album "Every beat of my heart" which does not have a US release (Even though one is listed). The only version released in the US is a promo that feature copy-control/content-protect (just like A lot of the Sony BMG titles). Sharissa is a great R & B singer. I just hate the way her music is treated. She is very underrated. Just like Toni Braxton, A voice like this doesn't come around very often. One of the best songs on the album is "in love with a thug" With R. Kelly. I don't like R. kelly becuase his music is always about sex and he filmed hisself intercoursing a 14 year old girl but in this case, I'll make an exception since his parts of the song aren't nasty like his solo music. But just like his solo music, he tells on hisself on this song, too. Lyric : "See, I've been workin At Mickey-d's about 4 years now." I told ya. He like girls who's age is suitable for Happy Meals. I think the reason why her music doesn't do well is because she doesn't get good promotion. Virgin Records needs to promote her better. They should have known better since her first album didn't do so well due to Motwon Records lack of promotion. I think the price for this cd is way too but knowing that is is not geeting an official US release, Sharissa is worth it.

A rather solid work.......2006-04-14

Sharissa was one of the members of a promising vocal group ("4Kast") which doesn't survived to the debut disk. That album ("Any Weather", 1998) was a very interesting production, released during one of the more remarkable periods of the modern R&B history, the late '90. A period marked by the rise of many talented artists like Dru Hill, Brandy, Monica, 702, Allure, Destiny's Child, Joe, the whole Timbaland/Aaliyah/Missy Elliott crew, etc.

This is the second solo album of Sharissa. I have bought this Japanese import version, because the US version isn't still available (actually i don't know if and when it will be released). Compared to her solo debut, the major difference it's a noticeable attempt to improve the general quality of the project, involving a thick squad of producers and musicians. The final result it's a rather solid work, without unforgettable peaks but even without too many filler tracks.

Probably even this second album doesn't will climb the highest positions of the charts, but Sharissa truly deserve an acknowledgement for her singer skills. Every disk that she release worth a listening, and this can be a good starting point for her future artistic path.

personal expression of utter devotion. Words to be whispered
to the Dream Girl met only in reverie. From the plane above the
demands of real experience, where there is only He and She
