In a simplistic time for music, this album displays a much more advanced and complicated side of R&B/Soul. Rocky McKaufman is one of the most intelligent and talented vocalists of today, and is also a great writer. Being a debut, this album has it's faults, but there aren't many. Every member of Joose seems to have a brilliant and classy side...and they make for an incredible group.

Album Description

Fool's Paradise, a new 10-track collection of soul/blues/jazz-infused rock'n'roll. On the opener, "Doctor," lead singer Sam Sharp, in a Tom Waitsain growl, sings, "Now waking up early ain't a thing I can do," all set to an old-time music backbeat and replete with the fingerstyle guitaring of Brenden Wood. Next, sax player Scott Mann's fat horn opens "15 Minutes," a track with a hip-hop beat that will have many listeners thinking of Everlast's Whitey Ford. Then comes "Home Furnishings" and its funky R&B thing. It doesn't stop.

I absolutely love these guys. I own both of their albums (Tuvan Fences and Fool's Paradise). The live shows are the BEST!
Be sure to bring your dancing shoes. You WILL need them.
