A disco classic. I played, too, on the session (keyboards)....assuming the previous reviewer is Mike L. or Louie P. / greetings!
Will Crittendon was in the booth playing an imaginary tiny guitar,
shouting 'It gotta' be TIGHT! gotta be TIGHT!'....which it was.
Got onto the charts but the promotional operation was not in place
at SMI records to do much with it.
I played guitar on No, No, No, My Friend.......2006-02-02
Yes, I was the guitar player for Devoshun, my first band. Though we didn't write No, No, No, My Friend, it had a great groove and I remember Will Crittendon the producer asking me to come up with a wild guitar sound for the middle breakdown. So, I used my Cry Baby Wah Wah to his delight. We had other great songs, but somehow we didn't last. The other songs are classic disco. Midnight Love Affair still sounds fresh and undated, to me. Great, unsung classics here, for sure.
