I am a Prince fan from way back. You know "1999", "When doves cry", and even up to about around the Graffitti Bridge album, but then my man got a little weird for me and I wondered where he had went. However, in the midst of all that crazy music or soon after he managed to put out this really pretty song. Prince and Angie Stone sound beautiful together singing this song. He reminds you that he can be a romantic without including all the freakiness. Love this song.

Easy and Smooth.......2002-04-28

I rate this CD as Easy and smooth because of the nice music and the soft lyrics on the cuts of the songs. I'd recommend this CD for the utmost of adults and strong lovers of this universe. Please do continue to keep bringing such music as this to our ears to envelop our minds, hearts and souls. Keep Um Coming!!!

Prince releases a double A-side with Angie Stone featuring. She adds a spice to 'U Make My Sun Shine' and reminds me of Rosie Gaines back in 1991. Prince is impressive, too and his lyrics are typical on this tracks- sexual seductiveness and spirituality. But in 'When Will We B Paid?', he takes the rare step of singing a song not written by him. It was written by Randall Stewart but nevertheless we are left with a cousin of 'Purple Rain' and 'I hate U' with Prince's typiacl voice and cracking guitar solos which help to make this CD a cracking purchase.

"When will i be paid" is a great song, Prince is a great talent, etc, etc. Ok. But i would like to thank Prince because he showed me Miss Angie Stone. She's just marvelous. I bought her two records, and they're bright. "You make my sun shine" is a good song too, but Stone's two solo albuns are better. And Prince's "Babylon Children", his last venture, is better too.

A superb balad that could get you seduce the woman you want, gospel influenced, typically prince style!!!! And it has been a long time since I haven't heard such a true "prince" stuff, he does it on his own and it is better this way f..k warner Bros, you got it man!!!!!

Well I must say that I am more impressed with "When Will We Be Paid" than I am with "U Make My Sun Shine". Musically and lyrically "When Will We Be Paid" is such a strong song wich I full support being a black man, but I don't think that my generation deserves reperations considering we weren't slaves. Our grandparents deserve it, but not our generation. I can't believe that some brothas in my generation think that we deserve reperations. What suffereing have we suffered compared to our forefathers? The occasionally subtle racist remark or glare. Come on brothas get over it. None of ya'll were slaves so stop hatin. If we hate the white man or are mad at him than we are no better than their racist ancestors. That makes us racist too. Forget all the double standards, racism is racism (white, black, puerto rican, hispanic, oriental, etc). Love4oneanother is the only way. Get back to the music. Prince is the man, he is the alpha and omega of funk. The chocolate invasion starts here!!! :)

I can't tell you what a fan I am of prince but, what is going on with his music. It's just another disappointment in a recent string of disappointments! Where's the raw funk and the sexuality that I came to love. Come on Prince, no more of this boring garbage. A slow ballad filled with more etheral crap. Then we hear angry Prince on the flip side. Give me a break. What has happened to Prince!!!!!

I love these songs! U Make My Sun Shine is a great R&B song and would definitely have been a huge hit for Prince if he were in his heyday of popularity. It's great hearing Angie Stong on the song. When Will B Paid is the perfect B-Side - raw, emotional with piercing guitars and lyrics. He does wonders with a classic from The Staples Singers.

"U Make My Sun Shine" is a beautiful love song laced with a soulful gospel sound -- Angie Stone and Prince sound great together! "When Will We Be Paid?" is also excellent -- Prince is angry and assertive on this track.
