Jason Nevins does it again!.......2006-07-24

Can Mr. Nevins do no wrong? His remixes for Elvis, The Blackout All-Stars, Kelly Clarkson, and Madonna have been wonderful, and he continues this tradition with Anastacia.
1. Left Outside Alone (Radio Edit) (10/10, 3:59): Great.
2. Get Ready (Album Version) (9.9/10, 3:33): Eh. An entertaining, but forgettable, track. She cusses a lot too.
3. Left Outside Alone (J. Nevins Global Edit) (11/10, 3:49): Awesome rock-flavored mix.
4. Left Outside Alone (J. Nevins Global Club Mix) (11/10, 8:10): Takes awhile to get started, but still AWESOME!!!
5. Left Outside Alone (Jason Nevins Mixshow) (2000/10, 5:31): The absolute BEST remix he's ever done. More of a tribal feel than the others.

Saw Anastacia Do This Live in U.K........2006-04-08

Live in U.S., work in U.K. and Europe. I saw Anastacia doing this and other songs from latest album live on the Paul O'Grady show. Even on just a hotel TV, she put everything she is and she has into this song and others. BLEW me away! Went out and got the album next day (in U.K.). Bloody fantastic album! Play it whenever I can. If you can find the album in the U.S. - Grab it fast! Then try to catch an Anastacia live show. Previous albums are good, when she was in her circa '70 and '80s rock "stage". Woman has matured into a serious and terrific artist. She wrote tunes and lyrics to all of the songs on new album except one. LOVE this artist and this album!

I love the song Get Ready very rock especially love how she cusses in the middle of the song! It had me laughing ha ha

The song is a very good discription of what she has gone through with cancer. She was left outside alone and she survived! Love this woman. I knew I'd love this song and the mixes. The last one is really cool. Love the way they play the drum beat backwards. The longest remix is probably already being played in clubs. I know it'll be playing in my club/room ha ha

"Left Outside Alone" is the lead single off Anastacia's 3rd, self-titled album. With this song, Anastacia explores new musical territory, while still including her previous style. The type of music, as she calls it, "Sprock", is a combination of pop, rock and r&b/soul music. Though you might find it skeptical going into the blender, the result is completely satisfying. A good jump for Anastacia. The remixes for "Left Outside Alone" were done by Jason Nevins (Anastacia, "Sick & Tired"; Widelife, "All Things (Just Keep Getting Better"), a remixer who's been around for a while, but is presently being pushed further into the light. It's a good things - these remixes rock! He sets the tone for a house-club remix, while still including the "sprock" feel of the original. His Global Mixshow is different from the other two mixes, but is equally satisfying and worthy of your dollar. Finally! More Anastacia in the US!.......2004-06-28

I've been a fan of Anastacia ever since I heard "One Day In Your Life." So it's good to finally hear something new from her!

Although she's had moderate State-side success, she's a smash in Europe, having 3 hit albums, and a bunch of Top 10 hits.

The new single "Left Outside Alone" is the first single from the upcoming self-titled album (which I heard will be out in the US this July). This song features the co-writing and production of Dallas Austin and Glen Ballard, giving it a rock, guitar driven power song. Anastacia's voice glides through this song. Some of the lyrics are a bit trite, but the chorus makes up for what the verses lack.

Although I've been a fan of hers for some time now, this song is totally different than anything else Anastacia has released...and that is a good thing. Her pop sound was getting a little repetitive but this song is totally different. It is a mix of Evanescence, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue. It's incredibly catchy.

I fell in love with this single after hearing it on Anastacias website. From what I listened on the tracks on her new album. It's definitely got a new feel to the album. A more rockier edge that she promised in her official website. I love the album as well. All of you out there. Get her new album as soon as it hits the shelfs. It's a rare kind of album that not many people can sing nor write. But to those that want to really know. Is that She's been through alot and now she's fighting back. The album proves just that. She was put on this Earth to sing her heart out. She is definitely one kick ass singer. So what are you waiting for get her new album now!

Though both Anastacia and Amber have released CDs that place them very firmly in the Pop/Rock category, "Anastacia" and "My Kind of World" respectively, that doesn't mean they've forgotten their Dance Music Fans. Quite to the contrary. Both Artists independently of each other and probably by accident are leading what industry insiders are calling a trend towards more Rock-oriented Dance. The Jason Nevin's Mixes of Anastacia's Singles "Left Outside Alone" and "Sick and Tired" and the HiNRG and Mike Cruz Tribal Vox Mixes of Amber's recent #1 "You Move Me" have revolutionized Dance Floors with a heavier Rock and Soul and in Amber's case, Alt Rock sound! If you're a fan of Dance Music, Anastacia and Amber are the Artists to watch. To anyone waiting to get anastacia's new album. I had just bought it together with this single. The album totally rocks. It is the one of the best rock albums that I actually liked in a long time. I don't usually like rock music but this is definitely an exception. Just listen to it and you'll not regret. This kin of album is hard to find. If you wanna know how I liked this album, I put it on 24/7 and that means I really liked it. The songs I liked are Seasons Change, Left Outside Alone , Pretty Little Dum Dum and Where Do I Belong. All the other songs are great. These are just some of the album highlights. But this album is definitely all rock. For those out there reeling for a good rock album. This has gotta be it next to Evansence.
If you must knwo Anastacia usually only sings pop, ballad or hip hop songs. This album is fresh, brand new and interesting at the same time. WHY? Look at the lyrics. It's rough, not that cold and it shows suffering and of course ANGER! HO! After I listened to this album. I really rralized what kind oif musician Anastacia really is. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM! YOU WILL NOT REGRET! Now I realize she is not joking when she said her album was rock. It really is rock and heavy.

From the lyrics to Jason's ext. remix, to Anastacia's voice, she is so straight forward on this song, and it is a must have, and if you do not have it, well you are missing out on a fine piece of work. released as a promo from her 3rd CD self titled....it was and stil is a huge massive dance remix, and finally released to the general public (smile) for all the Anastacia fans, you can now get this remix, there are 2 other songs released as well off of the 3rd Cd, (Welcome 2 my World, and Sick and Tired) they are not AS good as this single, but just proves, she is not just all about club remixes, she has emotions and they are expressed in her few (so far) singles. "get ready" is just ok. but other than that its great. the original "left outside alone" as well as all the remixes are great. especially #3 (the global club edit). "get ready" is a bit more rock than the stuff on the last album but "left outside alone" definitely shows her range. anastasia fans should definitely get this since the us doesn't seem to be getting the actual album any time soon.

First of all I love this single. Second, I know that there are people out there who see that a kid is writing an "adult" review on an album and think "what the hell does a kid know about good music?"

Well for starters, I know that Anastacia is a survivor of breast cancer. This has influenced this single and it has influenced her new album "Anastacia".

I know that she has been crowned a VH-1 Diva. Okay, so I don't know what a VH-1 Diva is, [sue me] but I know that it takes a lot of hard work to become one, which is what anastacia has done.

I know that she is alot better than Brittney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and Christina Agulara [don't complain about spelling]. And unlike those three, she does not rely on her looks to attract attention (unlike Brittney who shows way too much skin). She seems to rely purely on her voice, which is a powerhouse of emotion and feeling.

In this album she has artfully combined Soul, Rock, and Pop to create "Sprock" as she officaly dubs it. Just take "Left Outside Alone." It begins "opera" like the turnes "soul" like.
The lyrics to the song are the lyrics of a mature artist. You would not find a song like it on her previous two albums. The lyrics remind me of someone being dumped by his/her boy/girlfriend, wife/husbend, whatever. And no, nothing like that has happend to me [but I have seen enough in romance/drama movies to know what it feels like {I'm empathetic}].

The remixes do this song justice, though they don't sound as good as the original. My favorite is track number three [the "dance" type track.]

I am not going into any detail about "get ready" because this review was about "left outside alone"
