After many attemps to try and find this Cd in Europe and Australia wide,I was very pleased to have found it on Amazon .It was easy and hassle free.I am enjoying listening to this Cd and will do so for many more years.

If your a Nat King Cole fan, and a Spanish Language music fan..you will love this...there is a certain charm in the way he pronounces the spanish, but NAT COMES THROUGH....I wish he had done more in this genra...some of this Mexican music is the very best...

A clarification, for those who think: 'I can't ABIDE bad accents!' What people are commenting on in these reviews may be described better as a less subtle or legato phrasing than his English style, tending to over-separate words and overemphasize consonants. In listening to these songs, I don't hear any words that are 'mispronounced' by most people's standards; there simply is an overall impression of a vaguely 'foreign' sound.

It does mar the performance slightly for those of us who treasure Nat King Cole for his smooth and seemingly effortless delivery. But don't let anyone's comments turn you away without listening to the samples for yourself. You may find yourself carried away after all.

I remember as a kid living in Colombia when this album came out. Some of the songs were current at the time and several others were old Latin American classics. Nevertheless, what made this album so great was Nat "King" Cole's terrific voice and his phonetic Spanish with a very heavy American English accent, which made it that much appealing. Every song was beautifully rendered. Great memories from a bygone era!

In the late 50's, Nat King Cole released two LP's, where he sings in perfect Spanish (With a slight accent of course), something that amazed all his fans world-wide. The songs contained in this CD, are the most popular ones and originate mostly from Mexico. Tracks like 'Las Mananitas' and 'Maria Elena' are considered as part of Mexico's folkloric history, having been written in the early 20th Century. To stun his fans even further, he also released another LP, where he sings in perfect French. For those who are bi-lingual, this CD is a must for their collection. The songs are beautiful, and the way Nat sings, will make any ladies toes curl upwards.

La Sonora Dinamita has been for years putting on smooth, erotic, rythms. I dare someone to listen to this CD and not move to the beats and rich sound of this Columbian group. From the jazz-like, scratchy voice of Lucho Argain to the seductive voices of the women on this disc. These songs are classics, in a league of thier own. La Cucu a favorite to many is a song that will leave you wanting another play just so you will hit the dance floor again. If you love cumbia, REAL cumbia, then you will love La Sonora Dinamita.

      Twelve of the late Tejano diva's hits are collected here, making for an excellent introduction to her passionate singing.       God brought Selena home early, but she'll be there singing when we get there. I pray I get to see her father's face when he sees her again !! The CD is too good for the public...it was made for Godly ears. I loved it !! I own all of her CD's. She was and is the Real Deal !!

      12 Super Exitos was one of the first Selena CDs I purchased in 1997. I was buying every Selena album left and right at the time, so I didn't immediately realize that this particular album was a compilation. If you already have the albums on which the songs in Super Exitos originally appeared, then it's not an essential buy (unless you want a complete collection). Unfortunately, Selena didn't live long enough to have to produce a large "catalog" of songs as vast as those of Elvis, Juan Gabriel, or Nancy Wilson, for example. HOWEVER, if your only exposure to Selena has been her English language songs--such as "Dreaming of You" and "I Could Fall In Love," then 12 Super Exitos is the perfect introduction to Selena's Spanish language work. You can sample the various styles of Mexican and Tejano (Tex-Mex) music that Selena excelled in performing, as well as the English language ballad, "Missing My Baby." If you don't know any Spanish, relax--the tunes are rather infectuous! If you want some background on Selena's life and music, I also recommend getting the biography "Selena: Como La Flor."

      I have all of Selena's music and videos. She was a VERY talented Tejano singer. Everyone should recognize her in that way. My favorite songs are Como La Flor, Ven Conmigo, Missing my Baby, and Dreaming of you. If she were still alive to this day, she would have been the best Tejano singer NATIONWIDE... I pray for her family!!!!

      There should of been other hits included by the other singers like Junny Ramos and Manny Manuel. The album is still worth the listen but the hits are by Arnaldo Vallallanes taking the lead vocals. He now takes the lead vocals for the renovated group Arnaldo Y La Nueva Patrulla 15. Junny Ramos sings for Kaos and Manny Manuel has a successful solo carrer as well as Joseph Fonseca.

          With this disc I knew salsa and eddie's feeling and voice; wich makes him a great salsa singer. He's got a romantic, elegant and classic style and very important you can dance to it, his music it's like contemporary danzon.

          It's a must-have for everyone who likes eddie and salsa of course
          It's worth the try. And remember it may take you to places, persons and moments that were forgotten.

          Hacer un resumen de las mejores canciones de Alberto Cortez es una tarea dificil mas no imposible y yo personalmente creo que aunque quedan tantas canciones(o mas bien poemas) pendientes, no podemos negar que en este CD no hay ninguna cancion que no merezca estar entre las favoritas de los que tenemos como favorito a Alberto Cortez. Como ocurre al final de los recitales de Alberto Cortez una ambigua sensación se apodera de uno al escuchar la ultima canción de este CD. Por un lado la satisfaccion de haber escuchado 17 poemas perfectamente musicalizados e interpretados por una privilegiada voz y por el otro la sed de seguir escuchando tantas(quien no hubiese querido seguir escuchando "Mi bicicleta luz" por ejemplo), que le vienen a uno a la memoria, algunas de las cuales incluso no se han vuelto a editar en CD.
