SHERLY BRUCE nacio en Bay Shore, Long Island, una ciudad del estado de New York, en los USA. Su fecha de nacimiento es un dia 16 de noviembre, y aun siendo muy pequena y con tan solo 7 anos de edad les gustaba tocar las cuerdas de un pequena guitarra de juguete que tenia. A poca edad sus padres se tranladaron a la ciudad de Trujillo Alto, en la isla de Puerto Rico, de donde es oriunda su madre. Luego con el transcurrir del tiempo, vivio en Madrid, Espana, de nuevo en Puerto Rico, y finalmente en la cuidad de Nueva York, donde finalizo sus estudios de: Bachalor In Science, en el colegio de MOUNT SAINT VICENT OF NEW YORK. Su inquietud por la musica latia dentro de su corazon, y empezo a estudiar canto y con el tiempo se inclino por la musica popular, especialmente, por el genero Salsa. Entonces hizo llegar un demo a las oficinas de Flamingo Records, y su productor el senor Lynn Hidalgo, decide patrocinar su proyecto, lanzandola al mercado del disco con el album "Simplemente Amigos" --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

Myriam is one of my favorite singers in the world; her voice has remarkable depth and incredible passion, and her technical artistry is parallel to her god-given gift. When you listen to Myriam sing, you feel like you are being overtaken, she is THAT powerful. One of the most moving voices I've ever heard- she should be world renowned. I only hope she becomes a household name. And knowing the powerhouse that she is, I cannot WAIT to hear her deliver tribute to Ana Gabriel by singing her classics; one can only imagine this will be a masterpiece. Myriam is a force to be reckoned with.

    Sherly Bruce no tiene voz para interpretar el ritmo tropical de la salsa. La musica y los arreglos de este disco son muy buenos ya que tiene un estilo parecido a El Gran Combo e Ismael Rivera, pero solo la musica de este disco es buena ya que la voz de la cantante no es la mejor. Creo que Sherly Bruce tiene un estilo para cantar musin pop en ingles pero no para la salsa.
