This is the first Antonio Orozco album I listen to. I heard it recently while in Valencia and brought it back to New York with me. Its songs are a combination of stylish, pop-sounding ballads and rockish ditties, and they carry a distinct sense of Orozco's very good, clear raspy voice and an apparent sense of joyful play with music. The songs as well as the productions display a true liveliness that ultimately is infectious. It's the type of album that calls for repeated listenings and forces you to learn its lyrics.
In my opinion, "Devuelveme la vida" is the album's hit ballad. "Maceta blanca" is simply a sweet, romantic lyric with a great groove, like a Rumbita Sting would sing. Almost all the up-tempo tunes are great listening as well as good writing. Almost all of it is unabashed romanticism and I'm glad for it. I like all the songs on the album. The duet with Manu is lovely. This man, who would certainly "drink the seas" for his beloved, as one of the songs says, is very glad he discovered Antonio Orozco's "Semilla del silencio."

I definitely recommend the album and give it at least 4 stars. I will certainly look forward to more of Antonio's music.
