Después de tres años sin disco - si no se incluye el DVD de concierto "¿Qué no? ¡Anda que no!" - Andy y Lucas vuelvan mejor que nunca con este albúm "Ganas de vivir". Dentro de una semana, llegaron a la posición número uno de los más vendidos, señal de su gran popularidad y del hecho que éste es, tal vez, su mejor obra. En el último disco, "Desde mi barrio," Andrés Morales contribuyó una sola canción, "Madre." Esta vez, ha escrito cinco de las letras, entre ellas el primer single "Quiéreme," que es una balada de amor muy bonita. Sus canciones son casi indistinguibles de los de Lucas - aunque son en general más felices ... parece que Lucas queda todavía sin esa mujer especial, como dice en los agradecimientos del disco.

Andy ha contribuido también "Dame tu corazón," que mezcla su flamenco-pop con reggaetón, al estilo de Decai; la canción "Abuelo," un homenaje a su abuelo recientemente enviudado; "María," otra balada bonita; y el tema "Sueños de amor," de un estilo muy popero. Todas son bonitas en letra y arreglo; espero que contribuya aun más en los discos que seguro vendrán.

Y de Lucas tampoco faltan letras bonitas, aunque con un aire más triste. Entre sus siete canciones, se encuentra "Quiero que sepas," que da título al disco con su letra de "Quiero que sepas que/ tú eres para mí/ mis ganas de vivir/ mis ganas de sentir"; "De qué me vale," tema que trata del amor sin reciprocar; "Dios bendiga," que fue grabado con un coro de gospel; y cuatro baladas típicas de Lucas, que son de amores y desamores: "La niña de mis ojos," "Una chica normal," "Ayer iba tan guapa" y "Por una tontería."

Y aunque ha brotado mucha competición entre los grupos de flamenco-pop, especialmente los de Cádiz (que ahora cuenta con El tren de los sueños, Los Rebujitos y Decai; y hay Sinlache de Sevilla, el grupo Niños de Barrio, y Suspiros del Sur), el disco sirve para recordar que Andy & Lucas fueron los primeros en esta línea, y siguen fuertes. ¡¡Muy recomendado!!

ENRIQUE'S SECOND / MAKES U VIVIR LOVE..........2004-11-18

Enrique's second cd is mostly pop ballads which go good with his type of voice. The song that stands out and is my fave in this cd is #6 Miente. It has some roller coaster arpeggios for background while he sings. Great cd if ur in love or wanting to hook up with some hot girl. I would say the last song, Revolucion, is the worst on the cd for it's senseless lyrics and funky drum rolls in the middle of the phrases. This cd is good to listen when u want to think about ur girlfriend/boyfriend. Good sophomore cd for an artist that has an oustanding career.

I'm not a "long time" fan of Enrique Iglesias; I tuned into his music in 1999. I have both of his English CDs and Vivir. I believe Vivir is his best work, and I'm not yet fluent in the language. (though I know all the words to the songs)Sure, he doesn't have the greatest voice in the world (To his credit, he sounds better singing in Spanish.), but it's pleasant enough to listen too, and the fact that he writes his own music is a plus. In my not-so-humble opinion, Miente, Enamorado Por Primera Vez and Al Despertar are the best songs. What can I say? I'm a fan of ballads. Though Lluvia Cae is a cute and fun song to listen too. Overall, it's a CD you should have if you're a fan of Enrique.

An excellent vehicle for a unique Latin voice.......2001-10-25

Enrique Iglesias has one of the most distinctive voices in Latin music: supple, tremulous, and dripping with emotion. I think of him as the archetypal "sensitive guy" singer. "Vivir" is a great showcase for his style; the CD offers a balance of slow, passionate songs and fun, faster numbers.

"Vivir" starts out strong with the romantic "Enamorado por Primera Vez" and then moves on to "Al Despartar," an intense ballad with a rock flavor. Then comes "Lluvia Cae," a bubbly, fun song that Enrique tears into with total commitment. Other notable selections on the CD are the intense "Miente" and the stirring "Revolucion."

Although Enrique has gotten a lot of attention lately for his English-language "crossover" work, I find his most compelling songs to be the type of Spanish language songs found on "Vivir." This is an outstanding CD, and an essential choice for fans of Latin pop.

A Great CD........2001-09-14

This is the second cd from the very well known international artist Enrique Iglesias and is one you will love. You will not want to return this cd, I promise. With three catchy fast songs, LLUVIA CAE, SOLO EN TI, and VOLVERE. The song ENAMORADO POR PRIMERA VEZ, which is my favorite, is a dreamy song. This cd is so ENRIQUE. He makes us women swoon and a lot of guys listen to him too. Enrique will be a lasting artist for a long long time.

Enrique's second album Vivir is his best he's ever done. Awell as the trademark ballads that established Enrique as a superstar the listener is traeted with the more upbeat songs that tantilize the ear. The album starts out with the romantic Enamorado Por Primera Vez and moves on to the upbeat reggea sound of Lluvia Cai, arguebly the best song on the album and arguebly his best song ever. However the lyrical acrobatics are contrasted with the harsh sound of Miente which presents the listener with a rougher edge to the big E's songs. Vivire y Morire despite it's morbid title (to live to die) is very reminiscent (sound wise) to Lluvia Cai and remains upbeat and it's easy to see why it made it into his best hits. This combination of spanish language ballads with distinctive pop beats and diverse cultural influences make the album the pinicle of Enrique's work.

Ricky's best album is (arguably) still his 1999 (US) "Ricky Martin" with its hit "Livin La Vida Loca", but this one is still my favorite. Ricy's rich voice soars on tracks such as Te Extraño, Te Olvido, Te Amo and leaves us wanting more with every note. A fine actor as well as a singer, Ricky sang this song on "General Hospital" and had me gasping. Gloria Estefan helped bring Latino pop into the mainstream, but I believe that it's Ricky who will take it to its highest success. Highly recommend this album for any Latin music fan, Ricky Martin fan, or anyone who wants to listen to true romance. Also check out his 1991 "Ricky Martin" album

I bought A Medio Vivir on August 6 2003 because I heard about 2 months ago Fuego De Noche' Nieve De Dia and I instintely feel in love with that song. I also saw the video because I have spaniah videos on my tv box. Thats how I heard the song. The whole cd is super fanstic cd!!!!!. I had heard five songs befor I bought the cd. One is Maria which I did not know he had an original version of that song. I thought there was only one version. The other song is Bombom De Azucar which I have by Charlie Cruz. Another is of course the very very betiful song I metioned befor Fuego De Noche' Nieve De Dia. Another is A Medio Vivir and last but lest is Te Extrano. Te Olvido' Te Amo. The other song are very nice too. I love the cd even though I do not speak a lot of spanish but I understand it alot. Ricky Mattain's A Medio Vivir gets 5 stars. Wonderful cd!!!!! Thanks.

This is the first album I bought by the former "General Hospital" hunk, and it is by far the best. He may have won a grammy for Veulve but that album can't touch this one. He has the range which allows him to go from a ballad to a dance beat seamlessly.It is one of the few albums that I listen to from beginning to end and that is saying a lot since I do not speak a word of Spanish. I would reccomend this CD to anyone who is a Ricky Martin fan or is just looking to expand their music collection to include latin

Nueva Cancion (New Song)
"You can't have a revolution without songs." This banner, suspended over Salvadore Allende after his election as president of Chile, shows the influence that the New Song movement had over the political process in Chile. In this case, songs were used to express support for Allende and his political ideals. New Song is an expression of the feelings of singers and songwriters for their country, and has had a great influence on the music of Chile and other Latin American countries.

The traditional culture of a country is an extremely important influence in New Song. For example, the traditional music that Victor Jara learned from his mother had a great influence over his later work. With this respect for tradtional music also comes the use of traditional instruments. In addition, New Song artists have a great respect for the poor farmers and workers of the country who are responsible for carrying along traditions of music and culture. New Song is expressed by casting off materialistic things and focusing on the feelings and thoughts of the people of the country. This change in focus is not only a change in personal expression, however. New Song has been used as a political weapon to attack injust governmental systems. In sum, New Song has the belief that songs can be used to aleviate problems in a country. The power of New Song comes from its ability to begin and support a revolution within a country.

All of the artists of New Song have several things in common. First, they possess a great love for the simple people of their country, and a great respect for the culture, instruments and music of these people. Second, the artist works to better the conditions in the country, especially for the poor farmers and workers. These people often do not have a leader who can express their needs, and the singers and songwriters of New Song give them a voice in government. As a result, the artists of New Song work to aliviate inequalities within their country.

The history of New Song coincides with political events occuring in Latin America. Since before 1950, the United States has been exerting its influence on Central and South American countries. Many times, the United States has sought to manipulate events in these countries for their own benefit. Both educated and uneducated persons in these countries resent this influence, and many times the artists of New Song use this resentment as a basis for the themes of their songs. In addition, the political aims of New Song artists have often been opposing governments under the influence of the United States. The destruction of imperialism is an essential part of the use of New Song.

New Song first began in Argentina when this country was under the Peron regime. In Argentina, New Song was used to revive the traditional songs of the country. So, the focus of New Song artists was on discovering and teaching traditional music of Argentina. When the New Song movement expanded to Chile, it began to try to influence the politics of the country. Violeta Parra was mainly responsible for the initial development of New Song in Chile. She was not only a student of the traditional music of Chile, but was also concerned with problems of injustice and poverty in the country. She got to know Victor Jara, and spent much time with him. The music of Victor Jara developed from a combination of the life experiences of Victor Jara and the knowledge of Violeta Parra. As can be clearly seen from reading about the life of Victor Jara, his music has a great impact on the future of his country. New Song reached its greatest impact in Chile with the election of Salvadore Allende. Allende was a member of the Popular Unity party, a coalition within the Communist Party of Chile, and ran under a reform platform. However, after a coup orchestrated by the Chilean right wing and the CIA, Allende was ousted and Victor Jara was brutally murdered. With the death of Victor Jara, the music and power of New Song began to grow within Chile. This occured despite the attempts of the government to supress New Song music. The music of Victor Jara and other singers was confiscated and banned from radio play, and two important New Song groups in Chile, Quilapayun and Inti Illimani, were forced to remain in exile from their native country for many years. But today, the ideas of New Song are returning to Chile. In 1990, there was a great celebration after the demise of an opressive dictatorship. The celebration, named "Free Song" in honor of Victor Jara, featured numerous groups playing traditional instruments and expressing the ideas of New Song.

Besides Victor Jara's work in Chile, the ideas of New Song also had importance in other countries. For example, in Cuba the New Song movement was referred to as "Nueva trova." This movement supported the ideals of Fidel Castro's revolution within Cuba. The Cuban singers wrote songs in favor of the new government, and these songs helped keep people's spirits high, even during the bad times following the revolution. Pablo Milanes and Silvio Rodriguez are two singer/songwriters synonymous with New Song in Cuba. In Central American countries, New Song often served the opposite purpose, however. In these countries, New Song was often used as a powerful instrument in opposition of the government. For example, in Nicaragua and El Salvador, singers wrote songs favoring the revolution.

Despite all of the forms of New Song, it is always a reflection of love for the people and traditions of a country. This love is often expressed as an opposition of societal injustices as a means to end these inequalities. The life and work of Victor Jara clearly demonstrate these characteristics of New Song.

Once again La Doble V, have outdone themselves, fierce lyrics different flow; there's nothing wack here. For those of you who know who these cats are, wont be dissapointed with their new material. "Haciendo Lo Nuestro," is the most outstanding track from this ep.

Argentinean Singer/Songwriter/Producer's Impressive Career Started in the Early '70s. Baglietto Formed an Act with Singer Silvina Garre and Fito Paez on Keyboards in the 1980's. In 1998, Baglietto Celebrated his Career of 15 Years with a Show at Buenos Aires' Opera Theatre Where the Artist Played Along with Leon Gieco, Fito Paez, and Alejandro Lerner.

Esta musica es un asco y no deberia de existir solo son unos chavitos idiotas que estudian en la anahuac(no tengo nada en contra de la anahuac ya que yo estudio ahi) El caso es que solo venden imagen y no musica, gracias a grupos como este mexico esta tan mal musicalmente hablando. Ya se que hay gusto para todo pero no manchen oigan otra musica ricky martin o lo que sea pero no mercurio que es pura imagen.
