    I lived in Mexico City during my early childhood and had the good fortune of living right across the Avenue where Trio Los Panchos used to practice their varied repertoire. This group of young men have a "Requinto" that is absolutely marvelous. In addition to the harmony that they provide to the Old Canciones del Alma(Songs of the Soul.) It just makes me want to date back to the good old days of the TRIOS.

    I asked my Dad if there was definitive collection of old Latino ballads and he pointed me to these guys. What makes this so good is that they take what my grandparents listened to and remade the production to make it appealing to todays fickle audience. But all the while never sacrificing the beautiful lyrics that made these songs timeless. If there was EVER a song that you wanted to share with a significant other it's here. Grandma and Grandpa had something here.

    One of the finest latin albums of the 1990s, "Mi Gloria Eres Tu" doesn't break the rules by reinventing what is arguably the genre's most beloved romantic style. What this does, however, is highlight Los Tri-O, a romantic threesome from Colombia of young, gifted singers who pay homage to their "tradicciones" by celebrating the lovely bolero classics popularized in the 40s and 50s by countless trios throughout South and Central America. This album is uniquely special because it contemporizes the bolero sound and makes it accessible to new listeners of latin music who might otherwise dismiss them as their grandparent's "old" music. In doing so, they shed the tempremental tones and make the music soar. Paeans to love, God and mother abound, but more than anything, this is pure romance at its best...any music lover should find room in their collection for this wonderful collection, which only gets better with repeat spins. A delectable feast for the soul, and a wonderful introduction to pop-latin music's newest TRIO, Los Tri-O. A MAJOR HIT!

    I think Los Tri-O should make more records of the same caliber, using music from the Trio Los Panchos, they almost sound just like them. Would like to hear more boleros sung by this group.
