The second huge single, KISSIN YOU is such a sweetly groovin' ballad and showed that the group wasn't only going to be the background vocalists for Bad Boy's rappers.
Other standout singles to me are: NO ONE ELSE, TELL ME, LOVE IS ALL WE NEED & DON'T EVER CHANGE. Although the producers used a fair amount of samples, like on Mary J. Blige's MY LIFE, they were used in a fresh way which created a new sound for a new group.
I'd recommend this disc to anyone who's curious about not only early Bad Boy artists but also how this group sounded in comparison to some of the other r&b girl groups out at that time.

Hyped to no end when they first exploded on the scene, the women of Total reminded us that behind every bad boy is a bad girl--and they're back, not to be outdone by fellow erotic ingénues like Foxy Brown and Monifah. Despite the curious British-accented "Yo, bitch, turn this fucking music up" intro, "I Tried" is a slinky late-night groove that showcases Kima, Keisha & Pam's blend of sweet vocals, suggestive lyrics, and kicking beats. Even if each track begins to sound like the last, it doesn't matter when they all sound this good. From the slow-motion steam of "Press Rewind" to the stoned funk of "Move Too Fast," the girls--as obsessed as they are with more carnal concerns--deliver. --Rebecca WallworkCustomer Reviews:

Kima, Keisha, & Kpam.......2006-04-16
Having said that, I've always thought the name of their act could have been better. I've always thought they should have been called Kima, Keisha, and Kpam instead of Kima, Keisha, and Pam.
I'm not dissing Pam by saying that. I love Pam. Next to Pam Dawber, she's my favorite Pam.
But since Kima and Keisha's names start with a 'K,' it would have looked cooler if Pam's name also started with a 'K.'
She wouldn't have had to pronounce it that way. It could have been a silent 'k' like in the words knit and knap.
Oh well.

Album Description
Jerry Goldsmith's death in 2004 marked the end of one of the greatest careers in film composing. This lavish 57 track 4 CD set traces the path of his astonishing achievements and includes recordings conducted by Goldsmith himself. Featuring The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philharmonia Orchestra, The National Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Daniel Caine Orchestra. Includes over 280 minutes of music.Customer Reviews:
Awesome Set!.......2007-07-01
Elmer Bernstein Film Music Collection.......2006-11-03
Overall a strong Goldsmith sampler.......2006-04-11
Fortunately, even an ugly cover will not ruin good music. And the good news is that I'd say about 75 percent of the music is good....and on a 4 cd set, that's a lot. Like other Silva compilations, the strength of this compilation is the variety. There are selections from the big releases (Star Trek, Omen, Rambo), but there is also a healthy dose of tracks from the smaller releases(Under Fire, Lionheart, The Swarm).
Two examples come to mind. Capricorn One and The Great Train Robbery are two movies that are not exactly household names today, but are dominated by two of Goldmith's finest main themes. The City of Prague Philharmonic come through with terrific renditions. And there are plenty of other strong performances...a few being concert versions conducted by Goldsmith himself. Suprisingly, "The Wind and the Lion" works, which is no small accomplishment given the ferentic original performance of "Raisuli Attacks".
It's not a complete success. A few of the performances fall flat, particularly some of the more inventive scores. Total Recall is just bad, mangling the performance with poor percussion and synthesizer choices to boot. Also a letdown is the Klingon Attack from the first Star Trek movie. The Prague Philhamonic attempt doesn't sound bad--it's just that once you've heard the original soundtrack's "blaster beam" with enough bass to rattle your teeth...well let's just say Silva's version is a little tinny in comparison.
But I shouldn't dwell on the negative. Overall, this is a strong sampler of Goldsmith's variety. There are plenty of quality performances here, and despite a few omissions (noticeably Planet of the Apes)this is a very good release from Silva.
Jerry Goldsmith - 40 years of pleasure.......2006-02-22
Almost the perfect compilation.......2005-12-31
However, as sweepig as it is, there are a few holes in the selection. "First Contact", one of the sweetest and richest compositions from the Star Trek is absent. "The Ghost and the Darkness" is missing and the "Medicine Man" music should include the theme song. By dwelling on several selections from the Blue Max, these were squeezed out. Three full and important movie themes got the axe.
However, all but "The Ghost and the Darkness" are readily available and not overly expensive as is the "Ghost" CD. This is a must have for the TV and movie music fan.
Before there was Hans Solo there was Napolean Solo, before ER there was Dr. Kildare. Jerry Goldsmith IS Sci-Fi. "Resistance is futile.. you MUST assimilate this CD collection."

Adrenaline Rush? Not So!.......2007-07-28
The CD contains 22 tracks, which is a decent amount of music compared to WWE. But the problem is there are about eight tracks on the CD that are worthy of even being called good! The good thing was that they had the song Adrenaline Rush, which is probably the most played song on the CD for me and everyone else who bought it. It is that poor of a CD. Heck you can't even get it on iTunes; that's how bad it is!
If you are looking for a great wrestling CD, look somewhere else, but if you really want to listen to the music of TNA either watch the show and listen or find someone who has the CD already and have it burned, but don't but it.
TNA Wrestling: 3rd Degree Burns gets 3 stars out of 5.
My name is Amone. Adios!
A decent effort...........2006-12-25
The rest of the tracks are okay, with the exception of Track 6: Christy Hemme-Society Box, which isn't very good to say the least.
It's a decent CD, nothing more nothing less. It's worth a purchase if the price is right ($6-10, sounds right) but not more than that.

Stereo Total is the decadent-pop brainchild of Berlin based musicians Françoise Cactus & Brezel Göring. The French and German duo make the ultimate dinnertime Euro melting-pot music. The group's recorded songs in at least six languages, and they just as easily mix and match from all manner of mannered, smartypants rock pop genres from the last forty years. Chiefly, though, they stick to an affable fusion of synth-pop, French chanson, and garage rock. Stereo Total was briefly affiliated with the ill-fated mini-movement "electroclash," but thankfully they had the pop smarts and sense of humor to escape that tag. On Paris-Berlin, "the lyrics are all about love, rebellion and nostalgia," according to the group themselves, while musically Stereo Total has expanded their stripped-down sound to adopt some of the hi-fi sounds of classic '60s cocktail pop. Paris-Berlin is smart as hell and very likely their best album yet. It's recommended for all people who like fun--especially adult, Continental-type fun. --Mike McGonigal

The Moon And The Tower!.......2006-11-05
Cobham-Musician And Composer At His Cleverist.......2005-09-13
The title concepts for most of these tunes refer to various astronomical phenomenon. And in the case of the ultra funky "Lunarputians" just an excuse to use aliens as an excuse to groove (a concept later used with vocals by a guy named George Clinton). Some elements of this album are very heavily jazzy such as "Sea Of Tranquillity" and the title track emphasizes one of the most important parts of this albums appeal-the tunes here are some of the all time best compositions
Cohbam has created.
It wasn't exactly a bad thing either that Billy had the help of 'The Billy Cohbam Players' as they are credited. These players include John Abercrombie, the Brecker's, and the magnificant Alex Blake on bass. And I say that funnily in tribute to some community radio DJ's in my neck of the woods playing acoustic jazz who love to list EACH band member followed by the instrument they play. They probably would never play an album like this on their shows but if I had a radio show I sure would play this....okay MASTERPIECE and proudly list the musicians and what they play because without Billy AND the mutual collaberation of these great artists this album would'nt be exactly what it was.Integrity at it's finest!
