The songs are beautiful in their own right, but when you hear them interpreted by the great Javier Solis, they achieve a timelessness which is unequalled in the recordings of any other singer of this genre. It is only by listening to the accompaniment, not the voice, that you can tell that these tracks were not recorded recently. When you listen to Solis' recordings, pay close attention to how he effortlessly and subtly he changes the tone of his voice from a high, soft, head voice to a booming, almost operetic sound in order to vary the moods within a song. My personal favorite track on this CD is AMOR MIO, in which, for some reason, you almost feel like you're in the same room as the singer.

Javier Solis remains the brightest star in the history of Mexican music. His mariachis are second to none, and his voice is unequaled. A must have CD for connosseurs of fine music.
