Nunca una decepción.......2006-06-26

Desde que conocí a este cantautor cada vez que compro alguno de sus albumes quedo sumamente satisfecha. Este es uno de sus mejores trabajos, canciones con sentimiento, palabras que dicen algo y no solo son repeticiones de alguna tontería como en algunos otros. Él sabe lo que canta, lo que quiere expresar, lo que el mundo necesita, y además lo sabe decir, sencilla y rítmicamente, para que uno ame sus tonadas, letras e intenciones. Yo creo que como artista debería sentirse orgulloso de poder transmitir tan bien sus palabras.

hay gente que espera, que busca otra gente, me encanta ese disco y todos los demas de este cd. es encantador, genial y lleno de vitalidad que caracteriza sus otros discos. ese talento joven va a desarrollar muchos mas exitos en su carrera y su publico, sin mucha bulla, va en aumento, combatiendo la oleada de mal gusto imperante. cosas como la macarena, que el mismo pedro guerra dice detestar, son cosas que con su musica demuestra que puede vencer. exitos pedro y adelante.. Plain and simple: It's "music for the heart"........1998-05-25

Pedro Guerra is an outstanding writer and singer and "Tan cerca de mi" is what I would call "music for the heart". The themes are appealing and the songs are each different and yet mantain the same style characteristic throughout the CD. It's a disc you can listen to from beggining to end without getting tired of it. The music might be compared to some of Fito Paez's songs, in fact their voices are very similar but Guerra's themes are a little less "surrealistic" and less loud. The whole CD is not typical pop music but has a different sound. And it isn't just a singer with a guitar: the songs have wonderful choirs and percussion. I can't decide which is my favorite song in the CD but I can say that I loved it from the first time I heard it. If you like Fito Paez and Silvio Rodriguez I guarantee this is a CD that you'll listen to again and again.

One of his most poetic, romantic and visionary albums........2003-10-01

Jose Jose's cover version of Barbara Streisand's "The Way We Were" ("Nuestros Recuerdos")is truly mind-blowing. He tackles both the joys and pains of love and romantic relationships on this album's songs in a very mature manner.

Plenty of passion and feelings........2000-02-19

ENGLISH: Jose Jose returns from his crisis of alcohol abuse in the first part of the 70's and he has a better style, mature, and he keeps his great voice in all the songs. Includes "Paloma", the soundtrack of a TV serie with the same name. Also includes the spanish version of "Feelings" (Sentimientos") that is still rememberes as a classic in spanish and engish. Spanish version of Chaplin's "The Terry Theme" (Candilejas), "Hoy vuelvo a ser...el triste" is the second part of his classic "El Triste". "Divina Ilusion" is one of the best songs in the album. This song, "Tu y yo", "Tan Cerca...tan lejos", "Porque yo no soy Poeta" and "Alas" are really beautiful and have poethic and interesting lyrics.

The whole album is a poem, and this album opens the door to a new era in the career of Jose Jose.

José José regreas de su crisis de alcoholismo con este album en los 70's y regreas con un estilo mejorado, madurado y conservando su grandiosa voz en todas las canciones. Incluye "Paloma" tema de la telenovela del mismo nombre. Incluye también "Sentimientos", versión en español de "Feelings", que es recordada todavía en inglés y en español. También la versión en español de "Candilejas", tema de Chaplin, "Hoy vuelvo a ser el triste" que es la segunda parte de su clásico "El triste". "Divina Ilusión" es una de las mejores canciones del album. Esta canción, Tu y yo", "Tan Cerca...tan lejos", "Porque yo no soy Poeta" y "Alas" son realmente hermosas y tiene letras con contenido poético muy interesante.
