This is my first Aeoliah CD, and I was not disappointed. I heard track 5, "Shamballa" on my cable TV on 932, Soundscapes (commercial free music), and I knew that I had to have it. Each track focuses on a specific area of the body, and I found it very relaxing, and incredibly arousing when I was talking with my lover. It makes unsurpassed background music. "Shamballa" is absolutely heavenly. At night, when I need to go to sleep fast, I put the headphones and REPEAT on, and three hours later I had already felt relaxed, refreshed and rejuvinated. I only found the CD at Silver Platters, no one else carried it, I'm just glad it was in stock. The reverbent sounds of angelic synthesized chords, the ringing bells, cellos and flute delicately in the background make "The Seven Chakras" one of the premier ambient relaxation compositions of our time. It is also fantastic while giving and receiving massages, relieving stress and renewing the mind, and really makes one glad to feel alive. Outstanding value, a must have for the discreet, intellectual listener.

Better Breathing Through Music.......2006-12-28

I was playing cards on my computer in one room and listening to music coming from the music channel on my TV in another when I suddenly realized my breathing had changed dramtically. I felt relaxed and peaceful for the first time in years. After a few moments of concentration, I realized my breathing rhythm matched the rhythm of the music coming from my TV. I immediately raced to track down and purchase this amazing product. It has enhanced my life dramatically.

Not what I was expecting.......2004-01-12

I picked this up in a store because of the subtitle (Crystal Illumination). I thought this was a CD of crystal singing bowls. This CD was meant to be added to others that I use for qigong and meditation, however I found it inappropriate because of sudden, louder music that startled me. If you are looking for some meditation music I recommend looking elsewhere. Two chakra CDs I like are Paul Baker's "The Ladder of the Soul" (relaxing); and Layne Redmond's "Chanting the Chakras." (energizing).

Must for Ed Van Fleet fans.......2007-02-06

I love most of Ed Van Fleet's music. Much of this album has the feel of soaring over the New Mexico desert (to me) or else stargazing, like planetarium music. He has a neat use of synthesizer sounds and a good use of percussion that is effective but not overbearing. I once brought this album on a road trip and listened to it over and over for the entire two hours and never got tired of it. The music is soothing but not dull.

Great for kids.......2006-02-24

I was thinking about my childhood the other day, when I recalled suddenly this wonderful artist and his music. I literally used to listen to Grand Eagle every single night before going to bed from the ages of 7 until I was perhaps 11 or 12. Listening to the samples on this site made me want to buy the CD again (the original tape has long since been lost). It brings back so many wonderful memories. This music is timeless and works for adults as well as children. As I can recall, my mother didn't actually mind hearing this music as often as she did. My siblings and I were just obsessed and it was our constant favorite, but she never tired of this album like she did many of our other selections. If you are looking for comforting, spiritual music for meditation or relaxation, definitely give this album a chance!

Definately worth getting.......2004-05-25

I got the cassette back in '92 or '93 while on vacation in Bar Harbor. Feel in love with it on first hearing. I have played the cassette continuously, for weeks on end, in my car. Worried that I will eventually wear it out, I went to Amazon and found a brand new CD - now I can hear this album ALL the time, EVERYWHERE. It is THAT good. I would describe it as Native American/Nature music. Wonderful 'escape' sounds and tracks. Calming, soothing, wonderful - add it to your collection.

Great! Bruce Faulconer meets Yasunori Mistuda..........2002-11-20

I first encountered this album when I was younger. I bought it on tape and I was devastated when my player ate it several months later. Recently, I had the impulse of buying it again, and I am quite pleased. The style and sounds remind me of Yasunori Mitsuda (A Japanese gentleman who did the score for the video game Chrono Cross. He uses lots of natural sounds.) and Bruce Faulconer (who does the classical-esque techno score for Dragon Ball Z.) You get those two guys together, it's bound to be great. Mr. Van Fleet's style does just that.

Compelling.......2001-10-10

I first found Grand Eagle when I was nine years old when I was in the mall with my parents. My grandfather had instilled a deep love for natural music and the store we were in (Brookstone!!)had the panel thing so you could sample the music. I bought it, listened to it that night as I read one of my books. The next day I was back and I bought every other Ed Van Fleet CD title there which adds up to five. Nine years later the CD's are still in popular use today and I find them extremely comforting because not only is the music so well done but I have many memories packed behind it. Way to go Ed Van Fleet!
