The best memories.......2004-05-15

I had this CD in the cassette version I bought in summer 1991 when I was in my last year of high school in Lima, Peru, the most popular was "Muévelo, muévelo", but we also liked "Te ves buena" (the first version which isn't in this album) ,but you could hear El General back in 1990 in night-clubs which we call "discotecas". As I read in other review, I don't know why El General isn't known in North America, he has a very great music reggae, rap, he even recorded with C+C Music Factory in later years. I was crazy about him(his music); however,unfortunately, I missed his concert when he went to Lima in 1992.
I truly recommend this CD "Muévelo, muévelo" which I am thinking to get again. I was just listening the samples and brought me back so many good memories of my high school, university years and beach camps.
If you want your party to rock and have lots of fun get El General, he never gets old!!!

I lived in Panama for 2.5 years and El General never got old. The Panamanians said that Muevelo had no real translation, but regardless of the translation, it meant the same to all of us, "shake yo' thang." All of El General's music moved everyone to the dance floor each time it was played.

First heard El General while at a club in Mexico City. The Tequila and I both thought it was fly! Came back to the states and bought Muevelo. This CD jams. It is more hip-hop than reggae, although there are a couple Rasta tunes included. Phat bass and beats, cool samples, and saucy lyrics (with a lot of slang) are some of the strong points. Some of my favorites are: "Muevelo" "La Queme" "Te Ves Buena" "El Pare"

This is great, much better than Shabba Ranks. There' a lot of variety but it's all very bouncy, buoyant, poppy & paaaaarty. My faves are Buduff Kun Kun, El Gran Pana & Son Bow. So pleased I've discovered this artist. I don't understand a word of Spanish.

If you like latin reggae this is the album for you I don't no why everybody doesn't know about El General. 1 of the best latin raggae albums hear it. Muevelo is one of the best along with Wine your body and te vas buena.Its pure reggae from Panama!!
