Customer Reviews:
Litzy and Alessandra are THE BEST!!!.......2003-08-16
This is one of my favorite CD's, although my personal favorite has to be the theme song for the group's soap opera "Amame Como Soy". I personally think that they all sing really good on this cd, specially Litzy, which her two solo songs "Soy Tuya" and "Llega La Vida" are great songs!!! I also like Alessandra's solo songs, "Momento" and "Jovenes Como Tu", if you like Alessandra's voice, you gotta check out her solo songs!!! Every single song on this CD is worth listening to! If you liked the songs that you heard while watching the soap opera, this CD is the one for you!!! If you want to buy it, do it, cus the whole cd is worth buying!!!
Soy Tuya by Litzy was my reason to buy this CD.......2003-03-17
I have NEVER heard the entire album before, but I recently ordered it because I've heard 2 song which are performed by Litzy. 'Llega La Vida' and 'SOY TUYA' (the best!!) I have read the comments about this album and personally I disagree with the opinion of those who think Alessandra's voice is the best. Litzy has an amaizing interpretation as well, specially in SOY TUYA Litzy's voice sounds VERY different in this particular song, her interpretation actually makes you feel the song en carne propia. This song has been voted by her fans as her best song ever, and Litzy herself loves this particular song. The song talks about a forbidden and yet unconditional love - Y APESAR DE QUE ES PROHIBIDO QUE TE TENGA COMPARTIDO CADA VEZ QUE ESTE CONTIGO GRITARE QUE ERES SOLO UN AMIGO, A TU LADO ESTARE Y SIEMPRE ME ENTREGARE PORQUE SOY TUYA, TUYA, TUYA...-. This song really motivated me to aqquire this album because I identify myself perfectly with it, just ask Joey (PEPE), and ya'll see. (*.~). LLEGA LA VIDA is a song which describes the way someone feels after getting over a state of depression...-LLEGA EL AMOR, SE VA EL DOLOR, SALE EL SOL...LLEGA LA VIDA CON SU SONRISA Y SU LUZ- a very good song that will make you realize how beautiful life really is.
Descriptive title!.......2000-11-19
But in some ways, it doesn't go far enough. Because not only will it provoke "sueño" in young people, it's also perfectly appropriate for helping middle-aged people and senior citizens doze off! The producers' goal seems to have been to suck the energy out of any song or singer that showed potential. Therefore, Alessandra, the cast's best singer, gets stuck with the forgettable ballad "Momento," while the promising uptempo cut "Llega La Vida" gets assigned to karaoke-league vocalist Litzy. Future so-bad-they're-almost-good classics include Alessandra's attempt at Def Leppard-style arena rock on the tepid "Jóvenes Como Tu," and Verónica Jaspeado yodeling "amo-or" on "Pólvora Mojada." Ironically, two tracks are credited to the entire group DKDA, but the title song "DKDA" is not one of them...?!
Not what I was hoping for.......2000-10-08
I'm not enthusiastic about DKDA. DKDA was a band that was created specifically for a Mexican soap opera, called DKDA. The soap opera is about a band with 4 girls and 3 boys. Co-ed, pop bands with 6 or 7 members are very popular in Mexican. Some of the more famous groups are Timbiriche, Kabah, and Onda Vaseelina (now called OV7). DKDA was a soap opera that wanted to capitalize on the popularity of such bands, so a cast of singers/actors was rounded up. Jan, whose first soap opera was Sonadoras, stars in DKDA. Jan's first cd, called Jan, is very good - often being rated higher than Enrique Iglesias cds by critics. I have this cd and enjoy it very much. I have not heard Jan's second cd, Acariciame el alma, but I don't think that it is as good as his first cd. Jan is a soloist that usually sings with a guitar rather than electronic sounds. The other two famous singers in the soap opera are Litzy and Alessandra. Litzy was a member of the pop group Jeans during their first album. After leaving Jeans, she made a soloist album, which is fairly good. In both Jeans and her soloist album, she sings to electronic, pop music. Litzy has a track on the cd Sexo, Pudor, y Lagrimas, which won Best ALbum of the Year at Los Premios El Heraldo. Alessandra is a member of Sentidos Opuestos. Sentidos Opuestos is very popular in Mexico, and songs from several years ago still get regualar play on the radio. Indeed, Alessandra does have an incredible voice. She has made four cds with Sentidos Opuestos and will soon come out with a fifth cd. Alessandra sings solo in Sentidos Opuestos, while Chacho, the other member, plays the electronic keyboard. I have 3 cds by Sentidos Opuestos and consider them to be some of the best cds in my collection. Ironically, Alessandra sang the theme song of the Sonadoras.
Since I like Litzy, Jan, and Alessandra so much, I thought that I would like the three singing together, so I bought DKDA. I found out that electronic music is not a good match for Jan and that Alessandra's voice stands out too much to blend smoothly with those of the other singers. Jan is not for electro-pop and Alessandra is not meant for group-singing. Litzy, who has done well in group-singing and is suited to electro-pop, fails to exhibit any of the sparkle and charm that made me like her other albums. To me, it seems that these three stars did not put the same effort into DKDA as they have put into their personal projects.
Most of the songs on DKDA are not very good songs. They are un-original, weak copies of the type of songs that might be songs by Timbiriche, Kabah, or Onda Vaselina. Litzy, Alessandra, and Jan each get two solos. Then, Alessandra and Jan combine with Patricio Borguetti and Ernesto D'alessio to sing the songs with multiple singers. Each boy gets one solo song. Patricio's voice sounds a lot like Jan's. Ernesto's voice is too high-pitched for my taste. Veronica Jaspeado and Paola each have a solo song, but do not seem to sing on the rest of the tracks. Ironically, Veronica and Paola's songs are two of the best songs on the cd. I think that Veronica and Paola may sing background in some songs, but they are not listed on these tracks. When there are female voices in the background, they seem like a flashback to the soundtrack for the movie Grease. Someone gets in some annoying shrieks of "Oooh, oooh!," "Whooo!," and "Aieeee!" It's probably Ernesto. The best tracks on the cd are Amame como soy (theme song of the soap opera), Creer en ti, Llega la vida, and Agridulce amor. Do not buy this cd if you are not a teenager. The whole thing is geared towards teenagers, which disappoints me because there are several sexually suggestive songs. The famous co-ed, pop bands of Mexico usually stay away from sexually suggestive material. Jan and Litzy have done the same as far as I know. Litzy's song on Sexo, Pudor, y Lagrimas was not sexaully suggestive.
If you are a fan of group music, buy cds by Kabah, Onda Vaselina, or Timbiriche instead of buying DKDA. If you like Litzy, Jan, or Alessandra, stick to the cds that they've made on their own.
