Marisela Verena is an author, a song writer,
she prefers to sing her own songs.
Marisela plays the acoustic guitar and likes
to sing while playing her guitar.
She really can be considered a "troubadour"
or modern "minstrel".
In these recordings she is backed up
by excellent groups of musicians.
The lyrics are specially good, always
intelligent, witty, original
and very often funny and irreverent.
We recommend her CD's and we are sure
you will enjoy them.
I don't know why they are saying
at Amazon "explicit lyrics",
unless someone there has a political
motive to discredit her.
If this is the case, shame on that person!

It is an awesome album. "Son de las tres decadas" is a very moving song like someone said in one of the reviews there is no explicit lyrics it only expresses the conditions that has affected the cubans for over 40 years. It is my favorite track. It makes me proud to be a Cuban American. I also was born and raised in the USA. My parents are Cuban.

This is a great album, with many great songs and beautiful rhythms. Nothing in the lyrics is of an explicit nature unless expressing the terrible conditions that has affected the Cuban people for more than 40 years under Castros dictatorship is considered explicit lyrics.
