Excelente.......2006-05-29

ta bueno de verdad yo no soy un fanatico de Tito Nieves pero este cd me fascina ademas es mi primer disco de el. Al igul que la India, Tito incluyo reggaeton en este cd eso no le resto puntos musicalmete, los arreglos estanpor la mazeta este un disco bien bailable pa los salseros ademas incluye dos baladas al igual que reggaeton y un salsaton. Mis canciones favoritas son aunque todas son buenas terremoto(reggaeton),si yo fuera el(dos versiones),esa boquita y la mejor de toas Todvia no se ha escrito. Lo tengo quemao.

i just purchased this album .. now i'm not a huge fan of tito nieves but growing up as a child my family listened to alot of his music .. i also have the album prior to this one "fabricando fantasias" with all my respect i didn't really like that album .. but this album is completely different .. its hot .. the lyrics are tight and the reggaeton isnt so bad .. although it seems like all these artists are trying to make salsa reggaeton .. tito actually pulls it off rather well .. how ever the album includes two power ballads that are what i feel the highlights of the album .. the dvd is also cool .. over all .. i love this album .

I purchased my copy of HOY, MANANA, Y SIEMPRE immediately after seeing Tito Nieves at Carnegie Hall in New York perform 'Esa Boquita' amongst his previous hits. It is definitely the feature salsa track on the album, but I'm a bit surprised that the reggaeton track 'Terremoto' hasn't got more airtime on the radio because it's just as hot! Honorable mention goes out to the salsa song 'Tu Belleza' and both reggaeton versions of 'Si Yo Fuera El'. And it's worth the few extra dollars buying the CD along with the DVD.

This cd is a good buy not only for anyone who grew up listening to tejano music but if you want to have a refreshing sound to listen to. This tex-mex mixture is fun, lively and gets you out on the dance floor! Get ready to cumbia!!

Great Package.......2006-03-25

The CD is fantastic, and what everyone seems to forget is that the DVD is a value added bonus! You are getting a great CD plus a bonus DVD. For what the DVD is, it is great (Sound problems aside). You can't find this sort of DVD anywhere else, nor some of the songs he performs live. A record company finally trys to give some value for the dollar, and there are still complaints. Could the DVD sound have been better- sure, but for what it is, the DVD is great.

POOR DVD QUALITY, BUT GREAT PERFORMANCE.......2006-01-29

If you're expecting to buy a great CD you won't be disappointed. The CD sounds great and every reviewer of this release agrees on the great material, BUT..... if you are expecting a great DVD, well, I was quite disappointed in the sound quality. Is it even in stereo? The ambience is poor and the low end is washed out. Compared to current DVD concert releases, this is like a poor VHS.
You can't argue about Jose's performance, though. It's GREAT !

A music fan I hear ya. Actually CD Universe has this CD much cheaper. Nevertheless, anyone who likes JF, MUST have this CD in their collection. This CD contains the best ballads JF has ever recorded. I waited a long time for this "cassette" to be reissued on CD. JF is a seasoned artist and his "feelings" come straight from the heart. Trust me you will not be dissapointed. The CD is Fantastic and The DVD is Awesome.......2003-11-09

Everything Jose Feliciano does is excellent. In my eyes this brilliant guitarist and great vocalist can't do no wrong. This CD/DVD is certainly no exception. The music on the CD is a compilation of two of Jose's great albums from the 1980's. The albums "Escenas De Amor" and "Me Enamore" had never before been release on CD that is until now that Universal Music, Feliciano's record company decided to release this two classics together at one time. In this compilation package you're not only getting this fantastic CD filled with beautiful music that only someone like Feliciano can deliver and deliver he does as always straight to your heart with pure emotion and a lot of feeling but you also get a brilliant DVD of live performances of Feliciano in concert. The DVD like the CD is mostly in Spanish with the exceptions of his knockout version of "Light My Fire" and a superb rendition of the Stones "Start Me Up" which he includes a sensational rocking solo on electric guitar that will knock your socks off as well as a great version of the Beatles "Twist and Shout". If you're a Jose Feliciano fan, this is a must for your collection and if you're just curious to see and hear what all the hype has been about for the last 40 years, this is your chance to see and hear the amazing and legendary Jose Feliciano as always at the top of his game. What a pro, all of the young artists that are starting out including people like Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera should watch this amazing musician so that way maybe than can pick up some pointers and learn how is all done. He's the best there is, without a doubt there hasn't been anyone since and there will never be again anyone quite like Jose Feliciano. He's the real thing and he only gets better as time goes on.

I loved the CD, and the DVD was fantastic. What I did not like was the fact that I paid $19.98 for the CD with a bonus DVD, when I could have bought the same DVD with a bonus CD for $16.98 on Amazon. I think it is a great idea to have it packaged in a CD format and a DVD format, but why the difference in price. It is the same product! Amazon should be charging the same price for both! If you are reading this type in Jose Feliciano DVD, and save yourself $3.00.! It is certainly worth $19.98, but $16.98 makes it just that much better.

Hometown Buffet.......2004-04-17

This album is like a buffet where you have a couple of amazing entrees -- the other items look good, but turn out to be undercooked or left on the table too long.

The big winner here is "Popurri a las madres", a really beautiful homage to mothers including a cover of Juan Gabriel's "Amor eterno". I just love this track: you can listen to it in the car, for a sing-along, play it at events, it works anywhere.

A couple of Los Panchos' most popular songs, "Rayito de Luna" and "Un Siglo de Ausencia" are present here. Both songs are duets with H. Aviles and the sound quality is terrible. It is muted, indistinct, and scratchy at once. Granted that the gimmick of this album is Los Panchos with other performers, I don't see the point of including this very poorly produced, old and creaky track.

The cover of Juan Luis Guerra's "Ojala que llueva cafe" was another reason I wanted to hear this CD. It's alright, although the tempo seems a bit slow. As a later Panchos recording, there's something slightly cheesy about the strings arrangement, like a foreshadowing of the Luis-Miguel-ization of bolero.

I thought it would be safe to get this CD because Sony Productions has a good name in Latin America, but I would not recommend this purchase to most people. However, DJs will really love the "Madres" track for playing at parties and receptions.
