Note To EMI Latin- RELEASE HER FIRST 3 ALBUMS!!.......2004-03-15

This is a collection of Daniela Romo's 1986 "Mujer De Todos, Mujer De Nadie" and 1989's "Quiero Amanecer Con Alguien". It is incredible to see these albums RE RELEASED again! "Mujer.." has NEVER been released in the US on CD EVER! For hard core fans who didn't already have it, it's a pleasure to see. This collection lacks inserts, or even album titles on the actual disc! None ever tells you which album is which, but Disc 1 is "Quiero Amanecer.." and Disc 2 is "Mujer De Todos". There are no lyrics or any pictures at all. Even though it lacks all this, the fact that these albums are available in any form is a blessing and rocks on!!

"Quiero Amanecer Con Alguien" is a lovely set full of ballads and occasional synthesized songs, that mix Daniela's sultry voice with an accompanying exotic beat. Unlike her previous efforts, there are no dance songs. Bebu Silvetti (the producer) wanted listeners to concentrate on the mood of Daniela's voice. Quite intoxicating. Highlights for me are "La Ultima En Tu Vida", which has a funky beat along with a crescending Daniela on the chorus. Another beautiful and striking song is "Explorame". It's a hungry song told to a cold lover, and she really strikes a cord in you when you hear her scream "ven explorame!". Amazing.

"Mujer De Todos, Mujer De Nadie" was Daniela's last album with JR Flores/Difelissati, who were the cream of Mexico's pop crop. If you doubt the power of Daniela's voice, one listen to the opening track will silence you forever!. "De Mi Enamorate" is a beautiful ballad where once again, Daniela's crescending vocals leave you breathless. Written by Juan Gabriel. it also served for the theme to a 1986 Televisa soap "El Camino Secreto". The album picks up at a funky rate. Kitsch at times, it is indeed a fun album to listen. "Coco Loco" will be stuck on your head for DAYS! "Veneno Para Dos" is one of my favorites. It's a very dancey song that just sucks you in with the addictive pulse it carries. The title track is another example of brilliant lyrics with a dance beat. This album also features Mijares on "Me Alimento De Ti" and also includes another beautiful ballad "Adelante Corazón". This collection is worth it for this ALBUM alone! Beautiful! it's no wonder that it was her biggest selling album of the 80's for EMI Mexico.

EMI should REALLY release her first 3 albums ("Daniela Romo,"Amor Prohibido" and "Dueña De Mi Corazón") on CD NOW!! There is a huge outcry for it among Dani's hardcore fans. I'll be holding on to my hopes that someone will listen to my suggestion.
